BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

23 Jump Street Is In The Works

22 Jump Street is the tenth-highest-grossing movie of the year at the domestic box office–and the highest-grossing movie of the year to feature no superheroes, transformers, monsters, apes, LEGOs, or Maleficents. Unsurprisingly, Deadline reports that Sony is working on a Jump Street threequel (a possibility that 22 Jump Street teasingly joked about.) The studio has hired writer Rodney Rothman, who was one of the four credited writers on 22 Jump Street. It’s unclear at this point whether directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will helm the threequel, but they are already onboard as producers. Please Leave A Comment- Source- EW

22 Jump Street Review: Many Funny Parts But Original Is Better

The insanely funny 22 Jump Street has its many moments, but just falls behind its slightly better original. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller in 2012 transformed a long-sleeping (and frankly boring) television series into a hilarious piece of comedy, demonstrating that nearly everything has a second life. Their follow-up 22 Jump Stree t is almost as funny as the original, but that doesn't mean we like it any less. Based almost entirely around the premise that our heroes Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) must do EXACTLY the same thing that they did in 21 Jump Street , they're set out to impersonate college students looking for a drug supplier. Their captain (Ice Cube) literally commands them: "Do the same thing as last time. Exactly the same thing." Soon, they're doing just that, partying at frat houses with Schmidt screwing women and Jenko acting as the star WR on the college's football team. But their relationship soon hits the

How to Train Your Dragon 2 Review: Unexpected Twists Fuel Excellent Sequel

DreamWorks Animation hits animated paydirt with the very good How to Train Your Dragon 2 . DreamWorks Animation has hit a bit of a rough spot in the past three years. Although Mr. Peabody & Sherman ranks as one of the top animated films of 2014, the studio saw disappointing returns for 2013's Turbo and 2012's Rise of the Guardians . Granted, they do have the Madagascar series, but there's been the sense that DWA has been flailing in their search for a second franchise. Luckily, the very good How to Train Your Dragon 2 might just offer the studio exactly what it needs. Set five years after the original, Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel) is grown up but not ready to take the reigns from his Viking father Stoick (voiced by Gerard Butler). To his dad, Hiccup is still a boy, content to soaring with Toothless the Dragon and hanging out with his girlfriend Astrid (voiced by America Ferrera). But soon, the two realize that rival kingdoms are gunning for their hom

Minion Mayhem Takes Over Universal Studios Hollywood

An original 3D, Ultra-HD adventure, the “ Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ” ride brings outrageous and heartfelt fun to The Entertainment Capital of L.A. as scores of Minions descend upon Universal Studios Hollywood. Based on Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Academy Award and Golden Globe Award-nominated film franchise and created in collaboration with Chris Meledandri, founder and CEO of Illumination Entertainment, the attraction invites guests to embrace their inner Minion as they become immersed in an all-new story from the world of “ Despicable Me .” Helmed by (former?) super-villain Gru, with assistance from the slightly forgetful Dr. Nefario, “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” captivates fans by recruiting and transforming them into beloved, gibberish-speaking Minions. The theme park also brings to life the first film’s memorable seaside carnival with the introduction of “Super Silly Fun Land,” an imaginative and interactive play zone unique to Universal Stu

6 (or 7) Movies On Our Radar - March 2014

By: Matt Cummings These are the March films which should get you to the theaters. After a surprisingly strong Winter movie season, March arrives with an intriguing lineup that feels more like something we'd see in Summer. Over the past few years, March has been interesting in that it seems more like a roll-out month than a leech, ready to usher in a strong April that ultimately leads us to Summer. That's good or bad depending on how you look at it, but one thing is for sure: there are a surprising amount of high profile releases that could either become impressive money-makers or duds that will quickly find their way to the Blu-ray bargain bin. For a schedule that includes a second Bible epic, a comic book adaptation, and a Muppet movie, March certainly arrives with six (or seven) movies that have peaked our interest. 300: Rise of an Empire (March 7th)   The original 300 was a masterpiece of cinema: beautifully violent, it ushered in a new way of film-making

Non-Stop Review. Delicious Fun Wrapped Up In 20-Minute Morsels Of Mayhem

Non-Stop Review By: MattInRC The action thriller Non-Stop is delicious fun wrapped up in 20-minute morsels of mayhem. WARNING: Major spoilers ahead. We love us some Liam Neeson . From Schindler's List and Batman Begins to The Grey , Neeson's been a rock-steady diet on our movie menu for more than two decades. But in the last few years, the actor who we first enjoyed in Excalibur has been a hurting soul. After the death of his wife in 2011, Neeson has thrown himself into his work, producing memorable fare that's also shed a greater light on what it means to lose someone close due to tragedy. His newest film Non-Stop wraps a genuinely good performance with enough high-altitude madness to make us reconsider flying First Class. When US Air Marshall Bill Marks ( Neeson ) learns of a diabolical effort to murder passengers aboard a non-stop flight to London, he must root out the suspect before the clock ticks 20 minutes. The suspect has promised Marks that someone will mee

3 DAYS TO KILL Review. Entertaining But As Sloppy As They Get

3 DAYS TO KILL Review By: MattInRC The Kevin Coster action flick 3 Days to Kill is entertaining but as sloppy as they get. Director McG is one of my favorites. In 2002, he introduced us to the most important directorial innovation of the past decade: the Ram, in which a scene is suddenly slowed down for 5-10 seconds, then sped up for the same time, before returning to normal speed. Zack Snyder used this to perfection in 300 , and McG utilized it every week on his short-lived but sexy/violent Fox show. Today, his technique is seen everywhere, begging the question why he never uses it in the new movie 3 Days to Kill , a sloppy and unfulfilling ride that feels like a reject from Dr. Frankenstein instead from a renowned director. When veteran CIA agent Ethan Renner ( Kevin Coster ) learns he is terminally ill, he returns to Paris to reconnect with estranged wife Christine ( Connie Nielsen ) and their daughter Zoey ( Hailee Steinfeld ). However, the long arm of the CI

Bloopers & Outtakes From The LEGO Movie.

In case you didn't get enough of " The LEGO Movie " in theaters, or in any of your multiple viewings this upcoming weekend, there's now an official blooper reel online. The spoiler-filled, animated bloopers feature nearly three minutes more of the animated classic... But more importantly, they focus mostly on Will Arnett's amazing Batman: The LEGO Movie Review. The Film Is Hilarious, Inventive & Should Not Be Missed - Naturally, these aren't actual bloopers since the movie was animated. But it certainly seems like Arnett is riffing during the "Batman flying into the sun" scene. It also proves that this is the craziest performance Morgan Freeman has delivered since "Driving Miss Daisy." Maybe ever. Please Leave A Comment- Source- MTV

About Last Night Review. The Film Is A Very Good 80's Remake, And That's Saying A Lot

About Last Night Review By: MattInRC If you're familiar with the 1986 comedy About Last Night , you'll remember just how big it made Actors Rob Lowe and Demi Moore - fresh off their success with St. Elmo's Fire , the two were part of the Brat pack, a collection of young talent including Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Andrew McCarthy, Judd Nelson, and Molly Ringwald . For many late teens, these and other films defined our generation because their themes hadn't been addressed before. Today, such 'Coming-of-Age' films are standard issue, and usually contain more raunch than an actual message. The 2014 remake is just similar enough that we can appreciate the old, while laughing hysterically at the new. The plot centers around the relationship of Danny ( Michael Early ) and Debbie ( Joy Bryant ), who meet at a local club, hook up, then try the whole "friends with benefits" game before moving in, falling out of love, and eventually

Robocop Review. Lacks The Amoral Wit Of The Original

Robocop Review By: MattInRC Does Jose Padilha's Robocop do the franchise right, or just well enough? Read on to find out!  Warning: spoilers ahead. The future imagined by Director Paul Verhoeven during the 1980's and 90's is almost as frighteningly real compared to the one we really got. Science Fiction has become today's fact, but it's more intrusive than we'd like, living up to the promise of a far more dangerous than we had hoped; but it was these ideas and almost vicious bloodsport presented in 1987's Robocop which have defined a generation of Sci-Fi/action films. That random mega-violence - which has become such a part of these genres - generated a healthy bit of shock among those who first witnessed it, and might have overtaken the entire film had it not been for the career-defining performance of its titular lead, played by Peter Weller. Fast-forward 27 years, and Director Jose Padilha has resurrected the franchise with a good but
