She will feature as the Balloon Lady, a treasured character from PL Travers’ series of Mary Poppins children’s books. The film is scheduled for release December 25, 2018.

A five-time Tony Award® winner and the recipient of an honorary Academy Award®, three Academy Award nominations and bestowed with numerous other accolades, Angela Lansbury’s career encompasses more than 70 years. She is a beloved member of the Disney family and starred in “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” and voiced Mrs. Potts in the animated classic “Beauty and the Beast.” Her roles in film, television and theater range from “Gaslight,” “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” “The Manchurian Candidate” and “Death on the Nile” to “Murder, She Wrote,” “Mame,” “Blithe Spirit,” “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” and “Gypsy.”

Directed and produced by Rob Marshall (“Into the Woods,” “Chicago”), “Mary Poppins Returns” stars Emily Blunt (“The Girl on the Train,” “Into the Woods”), Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Hamilton,” “Moana”), Ben Whishaw (“Spectre”), Emily Mortimer (“Hugo”) and Julie Walters (“Harry Potter” films) with Colin Firth (“The King’s Speech”) and Meryl Streep (“Florence Foster Jenkins”). The film, which introduces three new Banks children, played by Pixie Davies (“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”), Nathanael Saleh (“Game of Thrones”) and newcomer Joel Dawson, also features Dick Van Dyke.

The film is set in 1930s depression-era London (the time period of the original novels) and is drawn from the wealth of material in PL Travers’ additional seven books. In the story, Michael (Whishaw) and Jane (Mortimer) are now grown up, with Michael, his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen (Walters), living on Cherry Tree Lane. After Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins (Blunt) re-enters the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack (Miranda), uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a new assortment of colorful and whimsical characters, including her eccentric cousin, Topsy (Streep).

The film is produced by Marshall, John DeLuca (“Chicago”) and Marc Platt (“La La Land”). The screenplay is by David Magee (“Life of Pi”) based on The Mary Poppins Stories by PL Travers with Marc Shaiman (“Hairspray”) and Scott Wittman (“Hairspray”) writing all new songs and Shaiman composing an original score.

Movie Review: #LOGAN I'm about to geek out

Bear with me, I'm about to geek out, but won't give up any spoilers. I thought it was great! I'm a big enough of a fan that I'd probably enjoy any mutant related movie they come out with, but not so die hard that I'm critical about deviations from the comics.

Review by: Rob Mateer

So my opinion probably isn't very objective. I heard a few people mention that the franchise is starting to run out of ideas and a 3rd Wolverine movie is getting old, but that's just something a non-fan or someone who didn't know the comics would say. The Mutant storyline for Marvel has gone on for decades and is probably their most popular story arc. The X-Men are what made me switch from D.C. to Marvel as a kid. I stopped collecting comics right when the Reavers, Mr. Sinister, and Genosha were introduced in the X Men. Supposedly, this is Hugh Jackman's last time playing Wolverine, so it's kind of fitting for me that he's ending his portrayal of the role with the same characters and story arc that I did when I quit buying comics and started buying Thrasher and Transworld Skate magazines. Also, it takes place during the aftermath of one of my favorite storylines for mutant titles: Days of Future Past. I used to have the first issues they introduced the storyline, X Men #141 and #142, in Mint condition. I had like 3 boxes full of old comics that worth a decent amount all together. At least a couple thousand at the time, but I left them in my punk ass sister's garage when I joined the Army and she sold them to a comic store and got shafted for a couple hundred.

Anyway, those issues were later followed by other comic book titles and crossover stories that went into this alternative future where the mutant genocide took place. I also used to play a role playing game with some friends back in 5th or 6th grade in Okinawa called Marvel Super Heroes. They made 4 different modules under their Nightmares of Future Past story campaign. It took place in a dystopian future that looked like something from Terminator when Skynet took over. In this timeline, Mystique reforms the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and they assassinate an anti mutant Senator named Robert Kelly. A rabid Anti-Mutant candidate was elected to become President. He passed the Mutant Registration Act making it the law that all mutants had to be registered in a Federal database so the Government had a file on every registered mutant. Mutants opposing the law and refusing to register were hunted down. Then the new President rebooted the Sentinel Program, which were giant armored robots with internal tracking, scanning, and computer abilities. They could fly and had multiple abilities with killing power and were programmed to hunt down and apprehend or exterminate mutants. Sentinels are what the X Men and New Mutants usually program to fight when they train in the Danger Room. Under the new Sentinel program, they built newer improved models called Omega Sentinels that were more powerful, faster, smarter, and lethal than their predecessors, Alpha Sentinels. They also created a head Sentinel called Nimrod to lead them and was the most advanced and powerful model. Nimrod is a name taken from the book of Genesis 10:8-9 and is described as "a mighty hunter before the Lord." He had enough superhuman strength to fight Juggernaught in hand to hand combat and could interface with any computer and transfer his consciousness into one like Ultron. His weapons were more powerful and he could scan people to determine if they had any special abilities our powers and after being exposed to a superpower, he was able to compute the nature of the power and how to nullify it. He also had abilities that mimicked known mutants. His robotic body could regenerate like Wolverine's healing power, he could levitate metallic objects like Magneto, teleport like Nightcrawler, and create force fields like Jean Grey's telekinesis, shapeshift like Mystique and assume human form.

Anyway, at first the other Superheroes assisted the Sentinels in rounding up and apprehending unregistered mutants who were now all outlaws. Evil and good mutants and groups banded together for survival. Martial law was declared and all the mutants were rounded up and put into internment camps and wore prison uniforms with a big M on the front and back like how the Jews had to wear a Star of David patch in the Nazi death camps. Most of the powerful mutants that resisted and on were on the run, were hunted down and exterminated, good guys and bad guys. Then the Sentinels turned on everyone with super powers and killed them off. They took over the country and killed anyone or thing that resisted. The remaining mutants and survivors formed resistance groups in hiding. The largest and most organized was the Canadian resistance made up of what was left of their military and surviving members of Alpha Flight, a Canadian mutant group. Logan was one of its leaders. His old stomping grounds was the Canadian Wilderness after he became Weapon X, before he was discovered by Charles Xavier. The sentinels took control of the country and ran it like an armed fortress. Their sole purpose is to exterminate all mutants and individuals enhanced with super powers in North America. Then they planned to go worldwide. Those still alive were either locked in internment camps or had severely restricted movement. Europe and the other nuclear powers cut off North America and threatened to annihilate the population centers with a nuclear strike if anyone attempted to leave the North American Continent and if Sentinels violated the no fly zone which was anything not outside of North America.

My bad for the wikipedia length reply. I got all carried away. See what happens when I let my inner geek out out of the closet? What I just described is the comic book version of the background period that took place in the years that followed the X Men movie of Days of Future Past. The movie version and background period that elapsed between Logan and the X Men movie differs.

Movie Review: The Great Wall

Not so great after all.

Review by Brandon Wolfe

The Great Wall is a joint venture between the United States and China, the largest such co-production ever undertaken. It was shot in China, features a predominately Chinese cast and was helmed by a noted Chinese director, Zhang Yimou. This pedigree serves, perhaps, to make the film seem more exotic and culturally distinguished than your average bonehead American blockbuster. Alas, it isn’t. The Far East influences do nothing to elevate The Great Wall above the shallow marker of inert, big-budget spectacle. Either the Chinese film industry has the same penchant for laziness that ours does or maybe we dragged them down to our level when forces were joined.

At some indeterminate point in the Song Dynasty, a group of mercenaries are searching for the mythic weapon “black powder” (gunpowder to us modern types) while evading Khitan bandits. One night, a strange creature attacks the party, leaving only William (Matt Damon) and Tovar (Pedro Pascal) as survivors. William manages to kill the beast, but not before severing one of its hands, which he holds onto, because the plot demands it. Beset by Khitans once more, the pair runs smack-dab into the Great Wall, where they surrender themselves over to the forces of the Nameless Order, a vast military sect led by General Shao (Hanyu Zhang) and Strategist Wang (Andy Lau), deciding that their chances are better on the inside rather than out.

The Nameless Order is gearing up for a battle with the Taotie, a race of mythological creatures who rear their ugly heads every 60 years. The Order has little use for William and Tovar until they catch sight of that severed hand and hear the story of how William slew the beast. When the Taotie launches a savage onslaught against the order, Commander Lin (Jing Tian) notices how well William handles himself against the monsters and enlists his service in the war. Tovar seeks to join forces with another captive, Ballard (Willem Dafoe), to make off with the Order’s supply of black powder while their armies are preoccupied, leaving William to sort out where his loyalties lie in this situation and what kind of a man he will choose to be.

Needless to say, if you had only heard the title “The Great Wall” without watching the trailers or reading up on it and were expecting a straight-laced historical epic about the Great Wall of China (something of which I was guilty until very recently), you’re in for a major shock to the system. And while the film is handsomely made and suitably epic in scale (those vistas of the Wall covered with soldiers as far as the eye can see are truly breathtaking), The Great Wall is achingly familiar. The look of the Taotie suggests a lackluster cross-pollination between the Xenomorphs, velociraptors and the Terror Dogs from Ghostbusters, and the shots of their digitized multitudes would have really popped some eyes back in 1997. For a film that has the might of the world’s two biggest moviemaking entities behind it, The Great Wall is shockingly thin. It’s every ‘army of good fending off the encroaching forces of darkness’ fantasy film you’ve ever seen. Even the fact that it’s the Great Wall of China is mostly irrelevant. It might as well be some big castle.

Damon’s casting as the great white hero who steps in to save the outmatched Chinese warriors has been the subject of whitewashing charges. That’s understandable, but his presence seems more likely due to a desire for a marketable worldwide box-office draw to anchor the film. This, too, is understandable. The true quandary here is why Damon was interested in signing onto such a rote pile of hokum. The actor recently scored great acclaim with his work in The Martian and then lucratively reprised his signature role in the profitable, if underwhelming, Jason Bourne. He didn’t need to do a cash-in part in a clunker like this. It’s not like there’s any real character here for him to play. William is as nondescript a hero as his prosaic name suggests and Damon is barely even invested enough to keep his Scottish (?) accent locked down throughout.

Tian has the most prominent role among the Chinese cast, but is similarly helpless to make her equally thin character greater than what is on the page. And Willem Dafoe’s character might as well not even exist in the narrative, and certainly doesn’t deserve to be played by someone of Dafoe’s caliber. His Ballard seems to be set up as a wild-card villain, the human antagonist of the story, but that never quite comes together. He’s essentially there to provide another recognizable American face, it seems. Faring the best is Pascal, who stands as the only source of humor the film can claim and makes the most of his put-upon one-liners.

A story that really sinks its teeth into the majesty and mystery of the Great Wall of China could potentially fascinate, yet The Great Wall is content to exist as little more than Lord of the Rings cut-scenes. The film doesn’t see its namesake as anything other than mere set dressing, a platform from which arrows can be shot downward at the fiends scaling its heights. The structure is one of the Wonders of the World for a reason. With the movie, one only wonders why it was even made.

Vince Vaughn Joins Fighting With My Family

With shooting set to kick off shortly, Dwayne Johnson is continuing to play main cheerleader and PR rep for the new based-on-truth wrestling film he's producing and cameoing in. He's announced that Vince Vaughn will appear in Fighting With My Family.

Stephen Merchant is on script and directorial duty, basing the film on the real-life experiences of WWE star Paige (AKA Saraya-Jade Bevis Miller) and her family of professional wrestlers. The movie will see Nick Frost as her father a reformed gangster and former wrestler, his wife (Lena Headey) and their children, who make a living performing in tiny venues across the country. The parents want a better life for their children, and when the siblings get the chance to audition for the WWE, it seems the family dream is coming true and all their troubles will be solved. However, the brother and sister are about to learn that becoming a WWE superstar demands more than they ever imagined possible. Florence Pugh is playing Paige, with Jack Lowden as her brother Zak.

According to Johnson's Instagram post on the casting, Vaughn will be "playing a man who I know all too well and those of you who follow wrestling history know well too. The 80's wrestling star who squandered his money and opportunities because he didn't have the capacity to handle his fame. One bad decision after another, but these days he owns his past actions and does everything he can to give back to the wrestling business he loves." Start your specularisation now!

Inspired by the Channel 4 documentary on Paige and her family, The Wrestlers: Fighting With My Family (which Johnson watched early one morning while shooting Fast 6 in London), this one comes from Film4 and MGM.

Mel Gibson In Talks To Direct Suicide Squad 2

Variety is reporting Warner Bros. has begun the search for the director who will take over the reins for the sequel to box office hit “Suicide Squad.” Mel Gibson is perhaps the most surprising of the handful of possibilities.

Sources tell Variety that in addition to Gibson, Warners has met with — or is planning to meet with — Ruben Fleischer (“Zombieland”), Daniel Espinosa (“Safe House”), and Jonathan Levine (“Warm Bodies”).

Warner Bros. had no comment.

Though insiders say the list could grow and that there is no front-runner at the moment, one source close to the situation said if Gibson wants it, the job is his.

Gibson had said in the past that he wasn’t interested in directing a comic book movie so his involvement does seem odd, but sources now reveal that the filmmaker is excited about the prospect of working with this cast, specifically Will Smith. Before Ben Affleck and Gavin O’Connor became involved in “The Accountant,” Gibson and Smith tried teaming up on the film — with Gibson directing and Smith starring. The old WB regime, however, wasn’t interested in working with Gibson.

David Ayer wrote and directed the original pic that starred Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto. The movie followed a group of villains and antiheroes — including Deadshot, Harley Quinn, the Joker, Captain Boomerang, and Killer Croc — who were forced into the service of the government in exchange for lighter sentences.

Though the original was met with a mixed reaction from fans and critics, it nevertheless grossed more than $700 million at the box office, making a sequel inevitable.

Last year’s WWII action-drama “Hacksaw Ridge” marked Gibson’s first film as a director in 10 years. If he takes on “Suicide Squad,” it would be his first directing gig for a major studio since helming Paramount’s “Braveheart” in 1995.

Frank Grillo To Star In The Raid Remake

The attempt to make a new version – once touted as a remake – of Gareth Evans' excellent action thriller The Raid has had a typically torturous development battle with actors and directors named then departing. Now, it there is confirmation that Frank Grillo (who has been attached for a while) and his The Grey director Joe Carnahan are involved in a new take on the idea.

As revealed on Carnahan and Grillo's Instagram pages and the Twitter feed of XYZ Films, the plan is to create a fresh spin on the idea of Evans' tower block-based blend of siege movie and martial arts action, with a new idea and different fighting styles. So it's not a remake, more a different angle on the concept.

And this has been quietly known for around a month, as Grillo explained to We Live Film's Fred Topel in January. Grillo explained then that he and Carnahan were in the midst of talks with XYZ to get the rights to do this, and the deal is finally settled. So what makes this one different? "Totally new script," Grillo told the site. "Joe Carnahan rewrote it. Far more faithful to what Gareth did in the first movie and yet it’s an entirely new spin on the film. Gareth is a big part of this because he’s one of the producers. It’s us not trying to remake a film as much as it is to give our version of what that thing was."

And what are they aiming to include? "Insane fights, insane tactical stuff," Grillo outlined. "We’re big fans of John Wick. Those guys are good friends of ours. It’s 10 times better than what that was tactically. We have the best people in the world coming to choreograph what we think will be fights no one’s ever seen before. So to honor what the first Raid movie was but to elevate it."

We'd guess this will go into production once Carnahan is finished with the third Bad Boys film, but it certainly seems like the idea of an American version of The Raid is in good hands right now.

New Clip From THE LOST CITY OF Z

Based on author David Grann’s nonfiction bestseller, THE LOST CITY OF Z tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam), who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment who regard indigenous populations as “savages,” the determined Fawcett – supported by his devoted wife (Sienna Miller), son (Tom Holland) and aide-de-camp (Robert Pattinson) – returns time and again to his beloved jungle in an attempt to prove his case, culminating in his mysterious disappearance in 1925. An epically scaled tale of courage and obsession, told in James Gray’s classic filmmaking style, THE LOST CITY OF Z is a stirring tribute to the exploratory spirit and those individuals driven to achieve greatness at any cost.

Movie Review: #FistFight

The high school teacher beatdown Fist Fight is hilarious until it's not. And then it's just plain offensive.

Review by Matt Cummings

If you're wondering whether that blast of fresh air at your local theater is courtesy of real films finally arriving for our enjoyment, think again. For every day of clear sailing (John Wick: Chapter 2) there's still a storm that blows us off course (Fifty Shades Darker). Depending on whether you like teen drug use, sex, and pedophilia, the high school comedy Fist Fight will either be more proof that the box office is back or this head-scratcher should never have been made.

As the school year ends, high school teachers Andy (Charlie Day), Strickland (Ice Cube), Coach Crawford (Tracy Morgan), and Holly (Jillian Bell) are ready for a vacation. So are the apathetic students: they're pranking every teacher, hanging offensive signs everywhere, and engaging in a giant middle finger to the staff. But the teachers have a ton of additional worry on their hands: the superintendent is re-interviewing all positions, hoping to cut budgets and staff. When the usually prickly Strickland goes postal on a student desk after a prank, Andy is called in to vouch for him. When he refuses (because his principal - played by Dean Norris - threatens to fire one of them), Strickland challenges Andy to fight after school. But the weak Andy is no match for the powerhouse rage of Strickland, and so Andy sets off in a vain attempt to get the fight cancelled. But as 3:00 arrives, all of his efforts fail setting the stage for a throwdown that will make headlines, while Andy's job hangs in the balance.

I'm conflicted over Fist Fight. On the one hand, I laughed out loud many times at the ways Day and others worked the narrative. It was great to see Morgan back in a comedy after his near-fatal accident, completely oblivious to his students drawing a giant penis on the football field. Some of it is very meta, approaching fourth-wall genius, such as the way Director Richie Keen portrays a sequence in which students are rumoring about Strickland's former lives (cop, solider, thug), all of which Ice Cube has portrayed in various films. There's some funny pranking going on here, as if the entire school is united in sending its teachers a message: "We're outta here, and there's nothing you can do about it."

But the teacher in me genuinely cringed at the disturbing amount of pedophile/drug references delivered by Bell. Known for regularly going too far in these types of roles, members of our test audience eventually just stopped laughing at all the smut coming out of her mouth, because far too much of it entered truly taboo subjects. It's one thing to have moments where a teacher's personal life might be revealed as odd or even socially unacceptable, but the way that Day and Keen allow this to happen so frequently just drags down every scene she's in. I know that films of this type don't exactly appeal to everyone, but I have a hard time accepting some of what's contained in Fist Fight. Holly is a character with no value whatsoever, and Bell's one-dimensional portrayal is going to be viewed as offensive by those who've been victims of abuse, or by families that have experienced issues like overly amorous teachers. Perhaps that's not the movie's target audience to begin with, but it's disturbing that Keen and a team of writers led by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser would think those kinds of messages are acceptable. Too many students think low of the schools they attend, and some teachers are caught doing terrible things which Fist Fight treats as comedy gold. In many ways, the plight that many teachers face in today's public schools (apathy being so low on the totem pole of genuine issues we deal with on a constant basis) is marginalized in Fist Fight for the sake of comedy.

If you're willing to look the other way, performances in Fist Fight are all over the place. The real redeemers - Ice Cube and Day - have genuinely great chemistry, with each revisiting old roles that still feel fresh. That might change if we eventually get FF5 one day, but for now they're a hoot to behold. It's clear that most of what they're doing is ad-libbed, a fact verified by Keen during a recent interview. I've made my concerns about Bell clear, but you also get a few moments with Christina Hendricks as a crazy language teacher that wants to see Andy gutted like a fish. She's way underused, with a steaming sexual nature that might be more interesting if they make a sequel. But others like Norris and a cameo by Dennis Haysbert (superintendent) don't hit the mark. There's a lot of driftwood here as well in terms of performances: when Day and Ice Cube aren't on the screen, things really slow down. And there's that 80s message behind the film as well, where the circumstances lead our heroes to declare their disdain for authority, forcing them to back off to appease our heroes. Sometimes that works, and Fist Fight gives us just enough to not hate it; but can I actually recommend it?

Upon leaving the theater, a friend of mine and I got into a philosophical debate about whether my connection to the profession played a role in my concerns about Fist Fight. He might have thought I was overreacting, that my connection to the profession made me more sensitive to the film's bottom line. What I can say is this: if you feel that elements of teenage sex, teen drug use, violence in schools, disrespecting teachers, and very young people cussing up a storm are potentially great subjects to include in a comedy, then you'll love Fist Fight. I don't see it that way even though there are some genuinely funny moments that have nothing to do with the film's more taboo elements. I would hate for a child living in an inner school neighborhood to watch this and remark, "Yeah, all that happens at my school," or actually think that their teachers should be viewed as targets for pranks or blackmail. All of that is in Fist Fight, and it's just not something I can get behind.

Fist Fight is rated R for language throughout, sexual content/nudity and drug material and has a runtime of 91 minutes.

From Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, “SuperMansion” follows the heroic misadventures of a dysfunctional yet well intentioned group of imperfect superheroes. Star Wars Force Friday II Details & Images Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

By: April Meneghetti
Disney and Lucasfilm today announced Star Wars Force Friday II, a global fan event celebrating the launch of new products inspired by the highly anticipated “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.” Toys, collectibles, books, apparel and more will go on sale beginning at 12:01 a.m. on September 1, 2017, with stores around the world opening for a weekend-long celebration of all things Star Wars.

“The first Star Wars Force Friday event was truly unique, uniting fans across five continents in an unprecedented global live unboxing event ahead of thousands of midnight openings at retail,” says Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media. “We’re excited to confirm that Star Wars Force Friday is back for ‘The Last Jedi’. Plans for this year’s world-wide event are top secret but expect something befitting the excitement around the next episode of the Star Wars saga.”

Star Wars fans around the globe embraced Force Friday in 2015, with hundreds of thousands turning up to stores at midnight to be the first to get their hands on merchandise from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Toys from the new line were revealed via a global live-stream unboxing event that unfolded over 18 hours, 15 different cities and 12 countries, attracting millions of views on YouTube. Fans took to social media to share their experiences with nearly 3 billion Twitter impressions about the events, using #ForceFriday.

Jill Wilfert, Vice President of global licensing and entertainment from The LEGO Group comments, “It was so much fun to be a part of Star Wars Force Friday, and we can’t wait for fans to join this year’s celebration as we reveal new ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ products during Force Friday II – a global event that will connect fans and families, and allow them to build, create and share their experiences with others.”

Details of how fans can participate will be revealed closer to the event but the world-wide launch will tap new technology and Star Wars mythology to create a unique experience for fans. Just like 2015, products for “The Last Jedi” will be kept under wraps until Force Friday II to preserve surprises for fans. As well as introducing new characters from the movie in toy form, the line will build on the success of products like Sphero’s BB-8, introducing more innovative technology to bring the characters and stories from the film to life in unique ways.

“Toys play a unique role in the Star Wars universe, and we’re proud to have been part of that incredible legacy for the past forty years. The new line for ‘The Last Jedi’ is our most innovative yet, and we’re excited to unveil it on Force Friday II,” said Samantha Lomow, Senior Vice President at Hasbro.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is the highest grossing movie of all time domestically and that success was mirrored at retail. NPD[1] reported that Star Wars was the number one toy property in the U.S. for 2016 and 2015, and that during the week of Force Friday, $1 for every $11 spent on toys was on a Star Wars item. Additionally, the popularity of the movie propelled Star Wars onto the top ten toy list for both boys and girls for the first time ever in 2015[2].

Also being revealed today is a first look at packaging for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” products which feature leading heroes: Poe Dameron, Rey and Finn. The trio will be featured on Star Wars packaging beginning September 1, 2017.

Fans can stay tuned to StarWars.com for more details on Force Friday II events, and can follow the conversation on social using #ForceFridayII.

New Images From #StrangerThings Season 2

Now that the Super Bowl teaser for the show informed us that Stranger Things' second season will arrive this coming Halloween, Netflix is following that with new images from the next run of episodes.

With tight security surrounding the buzzed-about show, not a lot has been released about the future of the story, though we do know that the cast will grow to include the likes of Sean Astin, Paul Reiser and Linnea Berthelsen.

See all the images after the Jump...

There's a time jump involved, and the new season is set a year later, but, as the end of Season 1 implied, things still don't seem to be quite right with poor old Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), and his mother Joyce (Winona Ryder) still has reason to be concerned for him.

And if you're concerned that the success of the series might mean it stretches on for years, then don't worry: it's on the minds of the creators, too: “Everything changes as we move forward so we’ll see,” Ross Duffer tells EW, with Matt Duffer adding, “I want it to have a really finite ending. I don’t want it to be one of those shows that runs out of gas and they lose it because they’re losing interest. You wanna end when you’re on top.”

Enter for a chance to see ROCK DOG on February 18 at 10:30 AM in Daly City.

For the Tibetan Mastiffs living on Snow Mountain, a dog’s life has a simple riff: Guard a peaceful village of wool-making sheep from the thuggish wolf Linnux (Lewis Black) and his rabid pack. To avoid distractions, Mastiff leader Khampa (J.K. Simmons) forbids all music from the mountain. But when Khampa’s son Bodi (Luke Wilson) discovers a radio dropped by a passing airplane, it takes just a few guitar licks for his fate to be sealed: Bodi wants to be a rock ‘n’ roll star. Yet that means defying his father’s wishes, heading to the city, and locating the legendary – and reclusive – musician Angus Scattergood (Eddie Izzard), who needs to write a new song and fast.

If Bodi can put a band together, help Angus with his song, and defeat the wolves’ plot to take Snow Mountain, his life will be in tune. Bodi will become what he’s always dreamed of being: More than a dog … more than a Rock God… he’ll be a ROCK DOG!
