BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Rebecca Ferguson Joins New Men In Black Movie

She's on our screens at the moment, having returned to the Mission: Impossible franchise for the successful Fallout. And Rebecca Ferguson is continuing to notch up the high profile film jobs. She's now sealed a deal to take one of the leads in the new Men In Black. She'll star alongside Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Emma Thompson, Liam Neeson, Rafe Spall and Kumail Nanjiani in the new spin-off, which will be set in the same universe as the movies which starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, but will not feature those characters (aside from potential cameos, and of the two, we could only see Smith showing up). F. Gary Gray is directing the movie right now in and around London. Quite who Ferguson will be playing remains a mystery at this point, but we do know that the movie will be the second film she shoots in a row, as she's officially aboard Stephen King-based Shining sequel Doctor Sleep, playing a nasty villain. Chris Hemsworth In Talks To Join Men in Black Spinoff Film

THR is reporting F. Gary Gray , who directed last year's ' Fate of the Furious ,' is in negotiations to helm the movie. Chris Hemsworth is in early negotiations to star in Sony’s self-styled spinoff of the sci-fi action-comedy franchise Men in Black . F. Akin to how Jurassic World revived the Jurassic Park film series, Sony’s reboot is to feature new characters rather than Agents K and J, portrayed by Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith , respectively, and build on the contemporary sci-fi world in which they operated. Sources say that the studio is hoping to round out a diverse ensemble cast and may be potentially eyeing the leads to be white male, a female of color and an older man. The story will be a global adventure. Smith and Jones powered the first Men in Blac

Sony Producing Female Installment of 21 Jump Street

School will be in session for female cops. By Brandon Wolfe Sony Pictures is proving most predominate in providing female alternatives to its most popular male-driven franchises. First there was the all-female Ghostbusters reboot, which will open next summer, and now word has come down that the studio will also craft a girl-centric installment of its popular 21 Jump Street series. Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs, the writers of Comedy Central’s Broad City , have been hired to write a script, said to be in the same vein as the two existing Jump Street films. This project will be produced in addition to another original-recipe Jump Street sequel with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill returning. That film is still a question mark, as the end-credits sequence of 22 Jump Street seemed to take a flamethrower to the very idea of doing yet another sequel. It came out in last year’s Sony hacking scandal that the studio was considering merging the Jump Street universe with the Men
