BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

TV Review: Limitless

TV adaptation could use less limits. Review by Brandon Wolfe Of all the films being adapted into television series lately, Limitless perhaps had more potential than most. The 2011 film, which starred Bradley Cooper as a struggling, unextraordinary writer who turns his life around after he becomes hooked on a brain-boosting drug called NZT, opened up a wealth of possibilities for expansion to a weekly format. Such a series could have taken the shape of something like Breaking Bad , where a protagonist’s cunning and greed grow along with his mental acuity, leading his fortunes to increase while his humanity plummets. Or, for a less antiheroic approach, how about a hero so brimming with next-level intelligence that he becomes an agent of social change, creating powerful enemies in the process? One might not go so far as to say the possibilities for a Limitless series were, well, limitless, but the premise is mutable enough for a good handful of worthwhile approaches to present themse

Fall 2015 Television Preview: CBS

We continue our look at the Fall television season by focusing on CBS's offerings. Story by Sue Lukenbaugh CBS let go of Battle Creek , The McCarthy's , The Mentalist , The Millers , Reckless , Stalker , Two and a Half Men , and Unforgettable . They also canceled CSI , but the long running show will get a send off in the form of a movie event. For the 2015 season, CBS has some good concepts for their shows this season, but either the execution is all wrong or the trailers are, with the exception of only one. There are a few stand outs though. Angel From Hell – THURSDAYS 930|830c THIS FALL Plot: Allison, a dermatologist, is organized and perfect, but her life is derailed when she meets brash, outspoken Amy, who claims to be her guardian angel in this irresistible comedy about an unlikely friendship. My Verdict: It's interesting, and even draws a few laughs. Allison's disbelief and Amy's craziness became tiresome in the long 5 minute preview. Ke

Limitless Movie Review By: SandwichJohn

Limitless Movie Review By: SandwichJohn Would you take a pill that made you smarter and make you have the power to use your brain to its full potential? If you said "No" then you have to be a fool. I would take it in a heartbeat. In this movie Bradley Cooper stars as Eddie Morra , a down on his luck writer who is loosing everything in his life. The guys has writers block so his book is getting nowhere and, what we all would expect next, his  girlfriend leaves him too. Morra bumps into his ex-brother-in-law while wandering the streets of New York. While they go have a drink at the bar, Vernon Gant ( Johnny Whitworth ) offerers Morra a solution to all his problems. NZT , a pill that would allow him to use 100% of his brain. This movie follows the theory that people use only 20% of their brain and some even use less in my option. Morra decides to give it a try and within minutes his life starts to change. It allows him to pretty much remember everything and anything

Armie Hammer Cast In Snow White. Is Saoirse Ronan Next?

Saoirse Ronan could be cast opposite Armie Hammer in Relativity's The Brothers Grimm: Snow White that's an revisionist adult retelling of the fairy tale from director Tarsem Singh. Armie Hammer, fresh off The Social Network, has closed a deal to play Prince Andrew Alcott in the pic. But Ronan (Atonement, and the upcoming Hanna ) is still only "in discussions" for the title role. Julia Roberts already has been cast. It's worth noting that Relativity plans to be in production first for a June 29th, 2012, release before Universal's Snow White And The Huntsman starring Twilight saga superstar Kristen Stewart gets going and comes out December 21, 2012. Supposedly, Viggo Mortensen is shaky in that version. Relativity Media has closed a deal with The Social Network breakthrough star Armie Hammer to play Prince Andrew Alcott in its upcoming untitled Snow White feature, based on the Brothers Grimm story, directed by Tarsem Singh (Immortals, The Cell). Limitless Tops The Box Office

Bradley Cooper starrer Limitless opened to a better-than-expected $19 million at the North American box office in a boost for Relativity Media’s new foray into domestic distribution. But business remained soft overall, with revenue down 10% from a year ago. The other new movies -- Lionsgate’s Matthew McConaughey legal thriller The Lincoln Lawyer and Universal’s sci-fi comedy Paul -- grossed $13.4 million and $13.2 million, respectively. The race between the two won’t be officially decided until Monday, when final numbers are calculated. Still, neither brought in enough to best holdovers Rango and Battle: Los Angeles. REVIEW: Read THR's review of Limitless Paramount’s sleeper hit Rango grossed an estimated $15.3 million in its third weekend to come in No. 2, according to Rentrak. The toon fell a respectable 32%, finishing the weekend with a cume of $92.6 million. Sony’s Battle: L.A . fell 58% in its second weekend to an estimated $14.6 million for a cume of $60.6 mill

No Sequel For A-Team

The A-Team’s potential for a sequel was always in the balance – and now, from Bradley Cooper's very own mouth, it seems there definitely won’t be a follow-up. He was asked  “Any news on the A-Team 2? Will there be one? I thought it was great and my friends felt the same.” Bradley’s response: “I loved it too. But unfortunately, outside of you, a few of your friends and myself, there just wasn't enough revenue to supply a second instalment of that franchise.” This is a great shame in our opinion, as though The A-Team wasn’t a perfect movie, it was a big bag of fun. If you look at the numbers, the US haul clocked in at $77 million, and the rest of the world, $100 million. Its budget was $110, so there’s $67 million there to pay for all the marketing (and there was a lot). This just wasn’t enough for a mid-summer blockbuster – and maybe releasing it during the World Cup opening weekend wasn’t a great idea in hindsight. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Empire
