Could Adam McKay Direct Guardians Of The Galaxy 3?

We'll start here by saying this is far from a done deal and more just about conversations that Adam McKay has been having lately. But speaking to the Happy Sad Confused podcast , on the occasion of his excellent Dick Cheney biopic Vice's release, McKay revealed that he's been having ongoing discussions with Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios about possible projects for some time, and that the third Guardians Of The Galaxy might be something he'd find difficult to turn down. The project was crewing up and was to have gone into full preproduction mode in the fall. But Gunn was let go as the director in July conservative personalities resurfaced old tweets of the filmmaker in response to his vocal political posts. While some held out hope that the helmer would be given a reprieve by Disney, a mid-August meeting with studio chairman Alan Horn closed the door on that. One pe

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Is Going To Happen

THR is reporting the filmmaker says the third installment will "help catapult both old and new Marvel characters into the next ten years and beyond" for the MCU. James Gunn has dropped some news of galactic proportions. The filmmaker will return to write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 , he announced Monday on Facebook. Gunn said that the question he gets asked the most is if he would return to helm a third installment of the franchise, and wrote it is only "after many months of ruminations and discussions" that he now knows the answer. "I could save this answer for the first, random interviewer to ask me during the press junket but instead I thought I’d share it with the most important people in the Guardiansverse — you, the fans, who have been so incredibly supportive and enthusiastic over the past five years, it has moved me to tears on a regular basis," Gunn wrote. "So, yes, I’m returning to write and direct Guardians of the
