BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Taylor Lautner Or Robert Pattinson Who Is Hollywood's Leading Man?

So far, the Twilight glow hasn’t quite materialized for Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson outside of the blockbuster franchise, at least at the domestic box office. Over the weekend, Lautner starrer Abduction opened to $11.2 million in North America. While hardly a disaster, most box office observers thought the Lionsgate action pic—Lautner’s first solo outing--would open in the mid-teens. Abduction did appeal heavily to younger females, Lautner’s Twilight fanbase, but needed more males, the natural audience for action fare. According to exit polling, 68 percent of those going to see Abduction were females, while 56 percent were under the age of 25. Abduction wasn’t helped by poor reviews, although moviegoers seemed to like it more than critics, giving it a so-so B- CinemaScore (females under 18 gave it an A- CinemaScore). In Abduction, directed by John Singleton, Lautner plays a teenager who learns his parents aren’t who they say they are when he sees his picture on a

Rio Rules Easter Weekend Box Office

Looks like the combined power of Tyler Perry in a fat suit, the draw of Robert Pattinson and a group of big cats wasn’t enough to challenge animated birds as Rio has continued its box office domination across the world and in the US this Easter weekend. Across the pond, the feathered friends from Fox and Blue Sky earned $26.8 million, bringing the movie’s US total to $81.2 million. Somewhere, we’re pretty certain executives and about to ask what other ideas the Blue Sky team have for Blu and company. Still, Perry won’t be too upset as Madea’s Big Happy Family locked down second place easily with $25.7 million.  Who really watches these movies? Bet he digs the suit and wig out of the closet again soon enough. R.Pattz/Reese Witherspoon romance Water for Elephants , meanwhile, did decent business, taking in $17.5 million for third place. In fourth we find Hop hanging on to a solid level of ticket business, earning $12.4 million after four weeks on release. After that we see Scre

Christoph Waltz Playing A Circus Freak

Christoph Waltz Playing A Circus Freak Hollywood is always looking for great villains. Now I’m told that Christoph Waltz, a frontrunner in the Best Supporting Actor race for his portrayal of the charmingly sadistic Col Hans Landa, will make a deal to star with Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson in "Water for Elephants,"the Richard LaGravanese-scripted adaptation of the Sara Gruen novel for Fox 2000. Francis Lawrence is directing. The role at first appeared to belong to Sean Penn who's been on a self-imposed big screen sabbatical, but the deal went south. Instead, Waltz will play the heavy in the Depression Era romantic triangle involving a veterinary medicine student (Pattinson) who joins a 2nd-rate travelling circus and falls for the star performer (Witherspoon). Waltz will play her husband, a dangerous paranoid schizophrenic animal trainer who is as mean to his wife as he is to the circus creatures. Waltz was a journeyman German TV actor when Quentin Tarantino cast
