Harold & Kumar Animated Series Coming Soon

With Harold & Kumar readying for its big screen return today, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Lionsgate is shopping an animated TV version. Film stars John Cho and Kal Penn are on board to voice the characters, Harold and Kumar, respectively, while A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas' scribes Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg are attached to pen the script, according to sources. Lionsgate has received multiple offers from cable networks, but no official deal has been made for the potential series. The Nov. 4 film release marks the third entry in Mandate Pictures' raunchy stoner film franchise. The first, 2004's Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle grossed $18.3 million domestically; the second, 2008's Harold & Kumar Escape to Guantanamo Bay, garnered $38.1 million. The Lincoln Lawyer T.V. Show Coming To ABC

ABC is going back to familiar territory, adapting The Lincoln Lawyer . As first reported by TV Guide, Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino is working on a drama adaptation of the 2003 novel by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus, while the network has ordered a script from Lionsgate to convert The Lincoln Lawyer in to a drama series, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Lincoln Lawyer , based on the Lionsgate feature starring Matthew McConaughey, has grossed $58 million at the domestic box office, will be written by film scribes John Romano & Michael Connelly, who penned the novels. Gary Luchessi/Lakeshore Entertainment is attached to produce through Lionsgate. Lincoln Lawyer is crime writer Connelly’s 16th novel and revolves around Los Angeles attorney Mickey Haller, the half-brother of Connelly’s famed detective Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch, driving around the city in a Lincoln Town Car driven by a former client working off his legal fees. "Blue Mountain State" Coming Back For A Second Season I had the chance to meet the guys from Spike's "Blue Mountain State" at Spike's Scream Awards last year and they were some great guys taking the time out to talk to me and for giving me some insight on the show before it came out. And so far this season the best episode has got to be when Craig Shilo looses his promise ring at the strip club, when they went there to celebrate and throw him a promise bachelor party. The show has been renewed for a second season which is great news for us over here at sandwichjohnfilms. The series follows three incoming freshmen (Darin Brooks, Chris Romano, Sam Jones III) who attend Midwestern football powerhouse Blue Mountain State and must quickly adapt to college life while juggling football, women, classes and nonstop hazing.
