BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Review by Brandon Wolfe

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Review by Brandon Wolfe Look who's made a return it's out guest movie review Brandon. He is a simple man. Uncomplicated-simple, not dumb-simple, of course. Let's see how his review compared to Matt's review of the film. Mounting a sequel to 2007’s dismal and dull Ghost Rider seemed like one of the less arduous tasks in recent Hollywood history. If the bar had been set any lower, it would have been buried nine feet deep in the earth. Really, all any sequel would have had to accomplish to claim a minor victory would be to not be astoundingly terrible, and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance pulls off this most meager of feats. Directed by Neveldine/Taylor , the junk-auteur duo responsible for the Crank films, Vengeance is a trashier, more low-rent affair. It strikes a less polished, more grindhouse-esque aesthetic than the original, which arguably better befits the schlocky material. However, it is still not what you’d call good. Tak

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Movie Review By: Matt

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Movie Review  By: Matt  Does Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance redeem the franchise or cast it further into reboot hell? Matt is back with another great review.    Note: major plot spoilers ahead! Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is a weird movie. Unlike the zaniness of The Dark Backward or even the mother of weirdness Begotten, GRSOV gives off the strange party-guest-who-holds-up-the-wall vibe than offering something truly unique. From the outset, you realize that this sequel to the 2007 yawn-fest wants to be different, recognized, and respected. After the first Ghost Rider was plagued with mailed-in performances and an action-heavy script, a new team was brought in, led by directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor . These guys are better known for 90-minute action films (Crank, Crank: High Voltage) than for their abilities as cinematic heavy-hitters. Add to the fact that GR was financed by the relatively unknown and second-tier Abu Dhabi M

Twisted Metal Film In The Works

Sony Pictures has made a preemptive 7-figure deal for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance co-director Brian Taylor to write and direct a live action adaptation of the iconic video game Twisted Metal . Ghost Rider’s Avi and Ari Arad are producing the adaptation of the game, which has been published in various configurations by Sony Computer and is one of the biggest selling video games. The newest version of the game was just released today for PlayStation 3. Avi Arad, of course, has been a producer of Sony’s Spider-Man films since the beginning, including the upcoming 3D The Amazing Spider-Man. All this action occurs as Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance opens this weekend, with Nicolas Cage reprising the title role and Idris Elba also starring. Like the game, the film will revolve around an underground event that pits a number of combatants in a fight to the death. They are outfitted in armored weaponized cars that are pimped out with heavy weaponry that includes missiles and machine
