David Fincher Next Film To Be "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" It was confirmed a while ago that David Fincher would direct  " The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo " is definitely Fincher's next film. Already adapted into an award-winning Swedish language trilogy , the English-language version is being produced by Scott Rudin at Sony with Steve Zaillian ("Schindler's List," "American Gangster," the original draft of "Moneyball") currently writing the script. As we previously reported, Carey Mulligan was on the studio wishlist for the lead role of Lisbeth Salander but that seems to be as far as it's gotten. As Mulligan herself confirmed, she's not received any official calls regarding the role and we're not surprised considering the script isn't finished. But lest we forget, Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest, has also caught Hollywood's attention. After some difficult rights negotiations with the still-in-flux Larsson estate, Sony inked a deal for the English-language versions late last year, with Scott Rudin producing and Steve Zaillian having a crack at the first screenplay. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo UK Trailer I Reported about a week ago about about the film being released in the UK, and now we know that Sony Pictures is developing a US version of the Novel and film. the original Swedish version of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO a.k.a Män som hatar kvinnor (strangely enough translated into ‘Men Who Hate Women’), will hit our theaters in select cities this Spring. Well, the first of the books has been adapted for the screen, and now The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo has a new poster to premiere right here.
