Colin Farrell As Quaid In Total Recall

Are you ready for your first official look at Colin Farrell as the new Doug Quaid? He's a little thinner than Arnold Schwarzenegger's version, but Farrell's got the "what the hell's going on" stare down to a science! The new Total Recall is directed by Len Wiseman (of the Underworld series) and takes place in an area of nation-states that include Euromerica and New Shanghai. It's here that factory worker Douglas Quaid (Farrell) begins to believe that he's a spy but doesn't know which side has hired him. The first official photo from Total Recall appears in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, where Farrell describes the movie as "much less jokey" than the 1990 version.

He claims that the tone will be completely different than what we saw in the past. "There's not as much tongue-in-cheek," he says. Judging from this photo, Total Recall has plenty of dark moments. It looks as if Quaid has been caught red-handed trying to escape from a couple stormtrooper knock-offs. Where is he headed? We don't know, but we're interested in finding out!

Total Recall opens in theaters on Aug. 3, 2012.

Joel Edgerton I& Mary Elizabeth Winstead n "The Thing" Trailer

Here is the first trailer for the upcoming prequel to the class 1980's film The Thing. The film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead ( Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Joel Edgerton (Warrior) in the lead roles. It is a prequel to the 1982 John Carpenter film of the same name. Matthijs's film will take place right before the first film, with the original Norwegian crew that discovered the alien, joined by Americans whose presence was unmentioned in the original film.

Taking place three days before the events of the John Carpenter film, Paleontologist Kate Lloyd (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and her two assistants Davida Morris (Davetta Sherwood) and Adam Goodman (Eric Christian Olsen) join a Norwegian scientific team that has stumbled across a crashed extraterrestrial spaceship buried in the ice of Antarctica. They discover a creature that seems to have died in the crash eons ago.
When an experiment frees the alien from its frozen prison, Kate, Adam and Davida join the crew's pilot, Carter (Joel Edgerton), to keep it from killing them and imitating them one at a time, using its ability to perfectly mimic any lifeform it absorbs through digestion, and eventually reaching civilization.

Paz de la Huerta Cast In Nurse 3D

V Magazine just announced Paz de la Huerta's casting in Lionsgate's NURSE 3D - make sure you check out the incredible concept art for the film featuring Paz and photographed by photographer and Lionsgate Chief Marketing Officer Tim Palen

LIONSGATE DEBUTS FIRST LOOK AT NURSE 3D CONCEPT ART

Paz De La Huerta To Star In The Psycho-Sexual 3D Thriller

July 13, 2011 - Lionsgate® and the filmmakers of Nurse 3D are pleased to announce that Paz De La Huerta (“Boardwalk Empire,” ENTER THE VOID) will star in the film as Abby Russell, a beautiful, dedicated nurse with a sinister side, and a secret life’s work in which she targets and punishes dishonest men. De La Huerta is represented by Untitled Entertainment and Don Buchwald and Associates.

The studio today debuted gripping pre-production concept art of Paz De La Huerta in character as Abby. Shot by Lionsgate’s Chief Marketing Officer Tim Palen, it will serve as a style guide and character inspiration for all stages of filmmaking. The story was originally inspired by previous photography of horror tastemaker Palen, who explored the intersection of caretaking and punishment in an ongoing series of fine art photographs of beautiful, fantastical nurses used by the studio.

The film is to be directed by Douglas Aarniokoski, who brings a wealth of experience as a first assistant director on high profile productions such as FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS, SPY KIDS, TAKERS, and RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION, and who also directed the forthcoming feature film THE DAY. Principle photography on the film will begin on September 6th in Toronto.

“In his original nurse photos and the fan conversation that ensued, Tim had clearly scratched the surface of a really great concept – the idea of a film noir depiction of a beautiful nurse who uses her sexuality to very severe ends,” explained Mike Paseornek, Lionsgate’s President of Production and the executive in charge of the film. “That concept was the perfect germ for this thrilling story, which will be extremely visceral in 3D.”

Added Palen, “Paz is the perfect actress for this role and has already been such an inspiration to the whole project. She brings an intensity and a sense of adventure to this role that is so promising.” He continues, “We learned from the success of MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D that there is a real interest in what 3D filmmaking can add to risqué scenes in R rated films, and this film will deliver those scenes to audiences in a really sophisticated, artful way.”

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 Movie Review By: Beevers

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Movie Review
By: Beevers

Let me start this review by letting you all know that I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I have read all the books and watched all the movies multiple times. So you can imagine how much I have been looking forward to this final film and also what high hopes I had for it. I was worried that I may be disappointed as I have been with other films lately. Let me just say that I had nothing to worry about!

The film starts exactly were Part 1 left off. With Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) at the grave of Dobby and Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) having just taking the Elder Wand from Dumbledore's corpse. There is no recap of what has happened in Part 1 so you may want to watch it again before you go to refresh your memory.

FYI- I have tried to stay as spoiler free as I can with this review.

Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) resume their quest for the rest of the Horcruxes. After considering how upset Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter) was when she had thought that Harry had been in her Gringott's vault they decide that would be the best place to look next. Thus begins the last great journey for Harry, Ron, & Hermione. With the help of Griphook (Warwick Davis) they work out a plan to gain entry to Bellatrix’s vault. Of course everything doesn’t go as planned and they end up battling their way out with the help of a dragon.

Next they head to Hogsmeade and Hogwarts in their quest for the final Horcruxes. This is where the big battle scenes take place and you get to see lots of action. Without giving too much away I will say that you will finally get to see Snape’s (Alan Rickman) true colors which I have been looking forward to for a long time. You also get to see Neville (Matthew Lewis) finally show his full potential, which was awesome. I know that there was some controversy over the filming of the ending but I thought that the director, David Yates, did a good job with it, no complaints from me.

For those of you that have read the books you already know that the films do differ a bit due to the fact that they need to cut out a lot of material and then because of cutting out material they have to change things a bit for it all to make sense. It may not have helped that I just re-read the book prior to watching the movie but I have to say that I was pleased in the way they handled this issue.

I didn’t feel that they cut out any necessary parts or make any huge changes. Of course, the books version is always better, but I loved this film.

9 out of 10 sandwiches!

Born during the Great Depression, Steve Rogers grew up a frail youth in a poor family. Horrified by the newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers was inspired to enlist in the army. However, because of his frailty and sickness, he was rejected. Overhearing the boy’s earnest plea, General Chester Phillips offered Rogers the opportunity to take part in a special experiment… Operation: Rebirth. After weeks of tests, Rogers was at last administered the Super-Solider Serum and bombarded by “vita-rays.” Steve Rogers emerged from the treatment with a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human. Key Actors Leaving Glee After Season 3

Glee regulars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer will not be back for the fourth season of the Fox musical hit.

In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, series co-creator Ryan Murphy said that the three regulars will be among the characters who graduate at the end of the fall’s upcoming third season.

Colfer, Michele and Monteith are “not going to be back at all for Season 4,” Murphy said. “You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”

Murphy added that planning for the future beyond high school will be a heavy theme during Season 3, noting that “more characters are leaving than are staying” when graduation time comes at the season’s end.

“We’ve never done anything by the book,” he said, adding that who’s graduating and who’s staying will be revealed in the Sept. 20 season premiere. “We made that decision and I involved Chris and Lea and they thought that was a good idea. They both trust the writing and trust me and felt that it would be great to have an open and closed experience for them to go out while they were on top.”

Murphy and co-creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan’s decision to graduate the trio -- among others -- has been well-received by the show’s new writers, he said. The group recently returned to work and are writing story lines that include several characters’ parents as the college talk heats up.

“We already made the decision before the new writers came in, but everybody likes where we’re taking it and what we’re writing toward,” Murphy said, noting that while he loved the “relationship roulette” from Season 2, the upcoming run would find everyone’s love lives more stable.

“I’m much more interested in Lea’s character -- not so much on her relationship with Finn, but more on what her dreams are beyond high school and how she plans on getting them,” he added. “That’s what my senior year was about.”

Murphy acknowledged that while he hasn’t discussed graduation plans with Monteith yet, he presumes he’s aware that Finn will be among those graduating. “He knows he was a sophomore when the show started.”

Profiles In History Brings The DELOREAN To Comic-Con

ORIGINAL SCREEN USED DELOREAN TIME MACHINE FROM BACK TO THE FUTURE III ON EXHIBITION AT COMIC-CON.

There were several DeLorean cars used during the three Back to the Future moves, so where are they all?

Where are all the real DeLorean Time Machines that were used in the Back to the Future movies? Sadly, some of them no longer exist and others are in need of extensive work. Of the seven cars used over the three movies, only three original cars are thought to still exist. Presented by Profiles in History, the famed auction house that represented the Debbie Reynolds Collection this summer, one of those screen used DeLoreans will be at Comic-Con 2011 for public viewing in conjunction with Team Fox benefitting The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The main goal is to give fans the opportunity to see and be photographed in the car. For a $20 donation to the Foundation you can be photographed in the DeLorean with all proceeds going to Team Fox.

Profiles in History is proud to present the original DeLorean Time Machine driven by Michael J. Fox in Back to the Future III. It will be presented at booth 1605, along with several original artifacts from all three Back to the Future movies with the hopes of creating a Back To The Future "museum" experience. Along with the Time Machine will be original costumes, the Tales From Space comic, Doc's burned toy Cadillac, Clock Tower cables, Gray's Almanac, the Doc Brown committed/commended newspapers, a full set of all five types of hoverboards, and other rarely seen pieces of cinematic history.

The Time Machine has been in private hands for the past 8 years, and was recently featured on the Hollywood Treasure television show hosted by Joe Maddalena. Joe and his staff will be at the booth in person to greet fans, and share these rare pieces of history. In conjunction with Team Fox, this is a rare opportunity to get your pictures taken with the original Time Machine.

The Time Machine will be available for viewing during advertised Comic-Con show hours, and will be in a future Profiles in History auction later this year, with a portion of the proceeds going to Team Fox benefitting The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Previously it could be seen at the San Diego Air & Space Museum.

Make sure to follow Profiles In History on Twitter and on Facebook.

Nick Frost Cast As The Final Dwarf In Snow White & The Huntsman

No, we are not trying to be insulting about Sir Nicholas of Frost, who stands a normal sort of height in real life. He’s just taking on the one remaining dwarf role in Snow White and the Huntsman.

In case you haven’t caught one of the approximately 750 stories about casting and development on this one, Huntsman is a tweaked take on the traditional Snow White tale that finds the evil Queen (Charlize Theron) rounding up a dispirited warrior (Chris Hemsworth) to kill the young woman (Kristen Stewart) she despises for being just too pretty.

But instead of carrying out the task, our hero takes a shine to Snow and trains her up to survive and fight back.

Universal has been hitting the character actor ranks to crew up the traditionally pint-sized heroes, who will all be shrunk down with a little post-production magic once the film is in the can. Frost is joining the likes of Ian McShane, Toby Jones, Bob Hoskins, Eddie Marsan, Stephen Graham and Ray Winstone.

Rupert Sanders is directing the film, which will start shooting in August and hit our screens on June 1 next year.
