Zombieland Could Make It's Way To Television

Fox is looking for its own set of zombies. Fresh off the record-breaking ratings for Sunday's Season 2 premiere of AMC's The Walking Dead , the network and Sony Pictures Television are developing a potential half-hour comedy based on the Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Emma Stone starrer Zombieland . The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Fox and SPT are in development on a half-hour comedy version of the 2009 feature from producer Gavin Polone, as first reported by Vulture . The project would be written by feature scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and produced through feature distributor Columbia's sibling unit, Sony Pictures Television with an eye on putting the project into development for the 2012-13 broadcast season. The feature film grossed $75.6 million, with a sequel in the works for next year. A potential TV series, Polone told the site, would replace a big-screen follow-up. Hello Angels. We got delivered two promo clip for the new one-hour Charlie’s Angels drama. The show stars Minka Kelly, Annie Ilonzeh and Rachael Taylor . Based on the 1970s classic, the remake is a modern take on the Angels (which originally starred Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Farrah Fawcett) and is set in Miami. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar wrote the script and are executive producing the Sony Pictures Television and Flower Films project with Leonard Goldberg, Drew Barrymore (star of the 2000 and 2003 big-screen versions) and Nancy Juvonen. "The Boondocks" To Return In Early 2010 After nearly a two-year hiatus, animated series "The Boondocks" is returning for a third season. According to creator Aaron McGruder's Twitter feed , the show is currently in production and set to air in early 2010. No network has been announced, but the Sony Pictures Television-produced skein was most recently seen on Adult Swim. Based on McGruder's cartoon strip, "The Boondocks" examines an African-American family who has moved from Chicago to the suburbs outside Washington, D.C., and quickly discovers the challenges of living in a different culture. Show, which received many favorable reviews, was often criticized for its use of language and racial stereotypes.
