Tupac Shakur Film Update & Back Story

Mid-way through 2010 it was announced that “ Training Day ” director Antoine Fuqua had anointed himself the captain of a biopic about slain rapper Tupac Shakur .The plan was to shoot in September. Meantime, Fuqua said he’d be opening his door to anyone that thinks they can do a good “Outlaw, Outlaw, Outlaw (They came in to sin)..Outlaw, Outlaw, Outlaw (Dear God, I wonder could you save me?)” “I want to discover someone new. I want to discover a lot of new people if I can. Obviously I’m going to have to put some people in it that you know, just because actors have different skills. I want to go to the streets and find him anywhere he might be in the world.” Today we’ve an update on the film, which is set up over at Morgan Creek. Seems the film is gearing up for an April start in Los Angeles. Antoine Fuqua To Direct A Tupac Biopic Training Day director Antoine Fuqua has confirmed that his next movie will be a biopic about rapper Tupac .  Fuqua revealed that the project has just been greenlit by Morgan Creek chairman James G. Robinson and will go in front of cameras later this year. "It looks like we're doing Tupac Shakur's movie next in September, that's what I've been starting up and working on now," he said. "I've been working on that for a while with Morgan Creek and Jim Robinson. I just got the greenlight from him and we're going in September. I've just started to prep that." Fuqua added that he is hoping to find an unknown actor to portray the iconic hip-hop star, who was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in 1996. "Dream House" To Star Rachel Weisz The actress has signed on to star with Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts in the thriller. Jim Sheridan is directing from a David Loucka script. Story centers on a successful publisher (Craig) who quits his Gotham job and relocates his wife (Weisz) and two daughters to a quaint New England town, only to discover that their perfect new home was the murder scene of a mother and her two children.
