BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

#THESTANFORDEXPERIMENT OPENS IN THE BAY AREA JULY 24th

What happens when a college psych study goes shockingly wrong? In this tense, psychological thriller based on the notorious true story, Billy Crudup stars as Stanford University professor Dr. Philip Zimbardo , who, in 1971, cast 24 student volunteers as prisoners and guards in a simulated jail to examine the source of abusive behavior in the prison system. The results astonished the world, as participants went from middle-class undergrads to drunk-with-power sadists and submissive victims in just a few days. Winner of two awards at the Sundance Film Festival, including Best Screenplay, and created with the close participation of Dr. Zimbardo himself, ' The Stanford Prison Experiment ' is a chilling, edge-of-your-seat thriller about the dark side of power and the effects of imprisonment. Featuring an extraordinary cast of rising young actors, including Ezra Miller, Olivia Thirlby, Tye Sheridan, Keir Gilchrist, Michael Angarano , and Thomas Mann . Please Leave A Comment-

The Wedding Ringer Review: Tasteless, Shallow Affair

While The Wedding Ringer is a dreadful exercise, most audiences will strangely love it. Review by Matt Cummings As someone who loves him some raunchy comedy, it's hard to write this and tell you to stay away from The Wedding Ringer . And while it checks off all the things needed for the perfect Winter release, the Kevin Hart/Josh Gad comedy is shallow, ugly, and surprisingly spiteful. The lovable loser Doug (Josh Gad) is soon to be married to the hottie Gretchen (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting), yet he holds a dark secret: his career and life have afforded him few opportunities to make friends, and his efforts to secure a best man or even groomsmen have utterly failed. Insert rent-a-groom Jimmy (Hart), who will - for a fee - make himself into the ultimate friend. But Doug's situation is special, forcing Jimmy to seek The Golden Tux which includes a full compliment of strange groomsmen with no social skills whatsoever. As the wedding day arrives, Doug must wrestle with

DREDD 3D Review. How Does It Compare To Original?

DREDD 3D Review  By: RAMA So how does this film compare to the original? RAMA is here to let us know. We need to thank scribe Alex Garland and director Peter Travis for making a badass DREDD movie that would erase those cheesy Sly Stallone Dredd moments from our memory forever. DREDD 3D is hardcore, visceral, and no-holds barred. With stunning slo-mo sequences and stylish ultra-realistic 3D, the violence becomes something that’s irresistible. The level of fun that DREDD 3D offers is kind of like Punisher: War Zone, and by that I mean, this movie does its job, serves its purposes and satisfied R-rated action fans everywhere… The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One- a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called “Judges” who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and fea

BEING FLYNN Movie Review By: RAMA

BEING FLYNN Movie Review By: RAMA What did RAMA think of this film based on a true story? Make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . First of all, I think they should’ve kept the memoir title for the movie, Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, doesn't that sound awesome! But of course I understand that the marketing folks would have a hard time getting approval to plaster that on billboards and TV spots. Secondly, BEING FLYNN forcefully uses the condition of the homeless for its agenda, it’s basically a story of a son who doesn't want to live in his father’s shadow and a delusional, stubborn father who thinks his son owes him the world. All that is wrapped in this ‘look how worse the homelessness in our society has gotten’ costume… Academy Award-nominated writer-director Paul Weitz (ABOUT A BOY) turns his hand to this moving portrait of fathers and sons. Based on a true story, BEING FLYNN follows Nick Flynn ( Paul Dano of LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE, THERE WILL BE BL

Karl Urban First Look As Judge Dredd

First Look At Judge Dredd Good Friday to everyone. We get our first look at Karl Urban (Star Trek, Red) as Judge Dredd . From what you can see from the picture it stays true to the comic book, from the first look at the costume we are miles ahead of how Stallone looked. The picture was posted on a Twitter account for Jock who is the concept artist working on the film, let's hope he doesn't lose his job for this. "There’s been a change in comic-book movies; they were treated unseriously and now they’re treated seriously. We’ve cast a guy called Karl Urban to play Dredd. We’ll be shooting in Johannesburg, it’s being directed by Pete Travis, we’re shooting with the people who did District 9 – and if we get it right, Alex has a couple of ideas for other stories as well. It’s not based on any one comic, and John Wagner is involved in every decision."  View the picture after the Jump.. Please Leave A Comment- Source- @jock4twenty
