Dakota Johnson & Tracee Ellis Ross To Star In 'Covers'

Focus Features chairman Peter Kujawski announced today that Focus will partner with Working Title Films on Covers starring Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross . A comedy set among the talent, fame, and fast-paced world of Hollywood’s music scene, the production marks the follow-up film for Late Night director Nisha Ganatra with a screenplay written by Flora Greeson. Johnson is a BAFTA nominated and award-winning actress and producer. She starred as Anastasia Steele in Universal’s billion-dollar Fifty Shades franchise. She’s a repeat collaborator of Luca Guadagnino, having starred in his films Suspiria and A Bigger Splash. Her other film credits including Scott Cooper’s Black Mass, David Fincher’s The Social Network and Bad Times at the El Royale. She’ll next be seen starring in The Peanut Butter Falcon, The Friend and Invisible Filth which recently premiered at Sundance and Cannes.
