Ruffalo Says Hulk Might Be In Captain America: Civil War

The Other Guy might be enlisting. By Brandon Wolfe At last count, the only major Marvel heroes not appearing in Captain America: Civil War were Thor and the Hulk, and now we might be down to just one absence. In an interview with Hitfix , Mark Ruffalo claims that he has been told that the green giant will be appearing in the film after all, but this comes solely from co-star Robert Downey Jr., not from any of the official Marvel brass. Says Ruffalo: “Robert Downey Jr. says I'm in Captain America, I'm in Captain America dammit. And I will wait for the day that my call sheet shows up at my doorstep or my script. At this point, I'm told that I'm in it by Robert, which I'll take as biblical, but I just haven't heard or seen from production yet." With or without the Hulk, Civil War is now shooting and will be released May 6, 2016. Discuss this story with fellow SJF fans on Facebook . Edward Norton Address "The Hulk" Controversy And Not Reprising His Role

Edward Norton Address "The Hulk" Controversy And Not Reprising His Role What a few days it has been with the news breaking that Edward Norton would not be returning to reprise his role as The Hulk in the upcoming " Avengers " film. We got responses from the studio and from Norton's agent. But nothing from Norton until now. " The Incredible Hulk " star Edward Norton released a statement on his Facebook page about how he won't be involved with Marvel's upcoming "Avengers" movie. As most of you know, I don't like to talk much about the business of making movies because it means a lot to me to protect the audience's fullest enjoyment of the 'magic' that films can have. But I am so appreciative of the outpouring of support from fans of the Hulk and the Avengers that I feel it would be rude not to respond. So here goes: It seems it won't work out for me to continue playing Bruce Banner for Marvel in "The Aven

Nathan Fillion & Eva Longoria To Join Cast Of The Avengers?

Nathan Fillion & Eva Longoria To Join Cast Of The Avengers? The rumor that Nathan Fillion and Eva Longoria have joined the cast of Joss Whedon’s The Avengers continues to pick up steam. Should the rumors be true, Fillion, a long time Whedon collaborator, would portray Dr. Henry Pym , aka Ant Man , and Longoria would play his wife, Janet Van Dyne , aka The Wasp . Supposedly the two of them would show up as S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists before revealing their true, super powered nature. Please Leave A Comment- Source- comicbookmovie

Joss Whedon To Take On The Avengers Film

Joss Whedon To Take On The Avengers Film There goes the neighborhood. Deadline is confirming that  Joss Whedon is in final talks to direct Marvel's proposed The Avengers movie. I am not sure that I would trust such a high profile franchise with Whedon with his track record being just the film Serenity. I understand he has a Huge following with fanboys and girls and he has written the scripts for several (including his upcoming Cabin in the Woods) and is a well-known script doctor in Hollywood. He's also got a long relationship with Marvel, having written Astonishing X-Men, not to mention an early draft of the X-Men movie, among other things. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Deadline / Syfy

Jack Kirby Estate Going To Court

Jack Kirby Estate Trying To Regain His Share Of Copyright The estate of Jack Kirby , co-creator of Captain America, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, The Avengers, Iron Man, Hulk, The Silver Surfer and Thor and has sent notices terminating copyright to publishers Marvel and Disney, as well as film studios that have made movies and TV shows based on characters he created or co-created, including Sony, Universal, 20th Century Fox and Paramount Pictures. Just as the Jerry Siegel estate has done so with rights to Superman, so Kirby's estate is looking to regain his share of copyright in the characters and their use in comics and other media. the estate is using the same lawyers as the Siegels, Toberoff & Associates, who have been fairly successful in their case against DC/Warner so far. Such claims, if found valid, would begin from 2014 and, as always, its worth noting that Marvel/Disney will still own the trademarks of the characters in comics, and the studios in movies. Hulk's Edward Norton Keeps Quiet about reprising his role in Avengers

Hulk's Edward Norton Keeps Quiet about reprising his role in Avengers. With The Avengers gearing up while three Marvel character films— Iron Man 2, Thor and The First Avenger: Captain America —are in the works, Marvel Studios president of production Kevin Feige didn't even know if the Incredible Hulk would be part of the ultimate team-up. Edward Norton played Bruce Banner in the reboot, The Incredible Hulk, , and the actor gave a careful "no comment" when asked if he would reprise the role in The Avengers . "I probably won't comment on that just because they keep a pretty tight rein on what they are letting out," Norton said in a group interview today in Pasadena, Calif., where he was promoting the documentary By the People: The Election of Barack Obama as part of the Television Critics Association summer press tour. Deferring to Marvel suggests a
