Lethal Weapon TV Series On It's Way

According to Deadline a  Lethal Weapon hour long series based on the films that starred Mel Gibson and Danny Glover has landed at Fox with a put pilot commitment. It will be written by former Chuck executive producer Matt Miller, who most recently created and executive produced the ABC drama Forever for WBTV. Like the Rush Hour series, Lethal Weapon is a relatively straight remake featuring the movies’ central characters, Roger Murtaugh, who was played by Glover, and Martin Riggs, who was played by Gibson. Sergeant Murtaugh (Glover), who recently celebrated his 50th birthday, getting partnered with the suicidal and highly volatile ex-U.S. Army Special Forces soldier-turned-LAPD Narcotics Sergeant Riggs (Gibson), who had been reassigned to homicide after a psychotic episode on the job as he deals with grief following the death of his wife in a traffic accident. Fall 2015 Television Preview: CBS

We continue our look at the Fall television season by focusing on CBS's offerings. Story by Sue Lukenbaugh CBS let go of Battle Creek , The McCarthy's , The Mentalist , The Millers , Reckless , Stalker , Two and a Half Men , and Unforgettable . They also canceled CSI , but the long running show will get a send off in the form of a movie event. For the 2015 season, CBS has some good concepts for their shows this season, but either the execution is all wrong or the trailers are, with the exception of only one. There are a few stand outs though. Angel From Hell – THURSDAYS 930|830c THIS FALL Plot: Allison, a dermatologist, is organized and perfect, but her life is derailed when she meets brash, outspoken Amy, who claims to be her guardian angel in this irresistible comedy about an unlikely friendship. Network Pilot Season Has Begun

The Big 5 deciding what they expect us to watch this fall. By Brandon Wolfe Pilot season has commenced as the networks have begun their first round of pickups. NBC has ordered the dramas The Player , Chicago Med , Blindspot and Heartbreaker to series. Also in contention are Warrior , Game of Silence , The Curse of the Fuentes Women and Love Is a Four Letter Word . The network is really pinning its rebirth hopes on drama rather than comedy, the genre upon which it built an empire in the ‘80s and ‘90s. The crop given the go-ahead today will join fellow dramas Shades of Blue , Emerald City and pointless reboot/event series Heroes: Reborn in the fall. On the comedy front, NBC has a number of prospects, including Superstore , Strange Calls , People Are Talking , a pointless small-screen reboot of Problem Child , How We Live and Cuckoo . Already ordered are Telenovela starring Eva Longoria and, yet one more pointless reboot, Coach . Fox will be adding its television adapt
