George Lucas Talks Everything Star Wars

Back in 2005, George Lucas announced that the Star Wars universe would get two television shows: an animated show (The Clone Wars, which hit the big and little screen in 2008) and a live-action show set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Now Lucas finally explains why the live-action show "sits on a shelf." During an interview with G4TV, Lucas explained that 50 hours of a Star Wars television show are waiting ... for a new way of making movies. Moviemaking is very expensive, and Lucas wants to bring the same quality to the television show, but at a fraction of the price. The good news is Lucas plans on revolutionizing the way movies are made, which WILL cut the cost to a fraction of what it is now. With less then 2 months away from the launch of the redesigned  Star Tours ride at Disneyland. Who's Flying The Star Craft? Disney will be re-opening Star Tours The Adventures Continues on May 10th 2011 in Disneyland in Anaheim and May 17th 2011 in Walt Disney World in Orlando. As explained earlier, all Star Tours Starspeeder 1000s are flown using the latest AC-series Tour Droids . And in fact, our initial plans were for our flight to be piloted by AC-38 better known as “Ace.” However, in discussions with George Lucas during the course of our production, we decided to take the story in a very different direction. So…while AC-38 is supposed to be our pilot, by the time we actually take off, the droid sitting in the pilot’s seat will be none other than…C-3PO! Star Tours Update And Photos We have reported before that Star Tours ride in currently going through an upgrade. Randy ( Arnoldfans ) and myself were one of the lucky few who got to attend the very last ride of the original Star Tours on July 26,2010.  Star Tours 2.0 , which is set to open up in May of 2011. The most recent info is that it will be called "Star Tours: The Adventures Continue" New destinations will include Tatooine and Coruscant. And the new ride will be set in-between the two Star Wars trilogies. The Star Tours vehicle is now going to be chased by Boba Fett .  C3PO and R2-D2 are still the hosts… Admiral Ackbar holographically communicates with the Star Tours vehicle."
