The iconic ‘90s sci-fi series will be returning to Fox as a six-episode event series a whopping 13 years after it bowed out. Stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will reprise their roles as FBI agents Mulder and Scully and series creator/executive producer Chris Carter will also be returning. In its latest attempt to hatch a large-scale film that can play to a family audience, Disney has made a seven-figure deal with screenwriter and Lost exec producer Damon Lindelof to write and produce an original large-scale science fiction feature film. Other than the fact that the project has a working title of 1952 , I couldn't pry plot details out of anybody. I'm not sure if the title connotes a period the film is set in, or if it is a Lost reference. I've also heard that this project isn't just being conceived for movies only, but that it has multiple platform aspirations. The project came out of a series of meetings that Lindelof had with Disney's production president Sean Bailey and senior exec Brigham Taylor, and it's the first film that Lindelof is producing from the ground up. “Lost” star Josh Holloway To Join In On A  Mission “Lost” star Josh Holloway is joining the “ Mission: Impossible ” team. In his first major screen role since wrapping the ABC show, Holloway is in final negotiations to act as a member of the Impossible Mission Force, the secret agent task force headed by Tom Cruise in Paramount’s “ Mission: Impossible 4 .” Holloway boards the ever-growing Brad Bird-directed pic, whose cast, in addition to Cruise, already includes Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and Vladimir Mashkov as well as franchise vets Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg . Story details are being kept in a self-destructable vault thus no information on Holloway’s character was available. J.J. The comic book company is encroaching even further into Hollywood, with the launch of its newly created small screen division. The television wing will be overseen by Jeph Loeb , the Emmy-nominated writer of NBC's recently canceled "Heroes," the company announced on Monday. As executive vice president, head of television, Loeb will work to translate Marvel’s characters and stories to television in both live-action and animation form. In addition, Loeb will oversee the development and distribution of live-action, animated and direct-to-DVD series. Lost Finale Gets An Extra 30 Minutes The producers of ABC's hit drama have shot so much crucial material for the show's hugely anticipated series finale that the network has agreed to extend the last episode by an extra half-hour. When the " Lost" finale airs on Sunday, May 23 , the episode will run from 9 p.m.-11:30 p.m. The overrun will push back local news, with the previously announced "Jimmy Kimmel Live: Aloha to Lost" post-finale special now airing at 12:05 a.m. ABC is expected to announce the plan on tonight's episode of Kimmel. Titus Welliver, who played a mysterious character in Season 5, is set to reprise his role in the second part of "Lost's" sixth season, which premieres Feb. 2.
