Super Troopers 2 Being Developed Now The Broken Lizard comedy team confirms that they’re three drafts into Super Troopers 2, they have the financing, they’ll soon prepare to take the movie to Fox, and Brian Cox is definitely planning on reprising his role. This morning I had the pleasure of interviewing Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, and Erik Stolhanske — four of the five members of Broken Lizard, the guys behind Super Troopers, Club Dread, and Beerfest. The bulk of the interview was devoted to their newest comedy, The Slammin’ Salmon , which opens on December 11th, so expect the full interview in a couple of weeks. I did, however, manage to get some solid details about the much-rumored Super Troopers 2. “We have the financing,” Chandrasekhar said. “So we’re going to try to make a deal with Fox.” “We’re like, three drafts into it,” Lemme added. “It’s funny, because we have an independent financier — we have a lot of independent financiers — who are like, ‘Give us that

Anchor Bay Films has acquired theatrical distribution rights to the Broken Lizard comedy "The Slammin' Salmon," directed by Kevin Heffernan. "Salmon" stars the Broken Lizard comedy troupe, comprised of Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter and Erik Stolhanske, along with Michael Clarke Duncan, Cobie Smulders, April Bowlby, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Olivia Munn, Will Forte, Lance Henriksen, Vivica A. Fox and Morgan Fairchild. Its plot follows a former heavyweight boxing champ turned restaurant owner (Duncan) who, indebted to the Japanese mob, challenges his waiters to sell more food in one night than they've ever sold before.
