BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

#LOGAN On Digital HD May 16 & 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray & DVD May 23

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment brings Hugh Jackman ’s celebrated seventeen-year run as Wolverine to a close when the box office phenomenon Logan arrives on Digital HD on May 16 and 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ and DVD May 23. Sir Patrick Stewart (X-Men: Days of Future Past, Star Trek: The Next Generation), Stephen Merchant (Hello Ladies, The Office), Boyd Holbrook (Narcos) and newcomer Dafne Keen join Jackman in the iconic character’s final chapter, directed by James Mangold (The Wolverine, Walk the Line). Touting an R-rating, allowing fans to finally see Logan’s legendary berserk rage unleashed, Mangold brings a visceral and gritty realism to the story, based on one of Marvel Comics’ most popular characters. In the near future, a weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are upended when a young mutant (Dafne Keen) arrives, being pursued by da

#BeautyAndTheBeast Opens HUGE

The tale might be as old as time, but the new take on Beauty And The Beast – the latest Disney live-action adaptation from its cartoon back catalog – stormed the US box office with a record-breaking $170 million opening, according to studio estimates. That represents a new high for a March opening and solidifies the recent success of the Mouse House, especially given that the movie cost $160 million to make before the usual marketing and print costs. No doubt Disney will be hoping for another billion-dollar baby, and given that the movie is already on $350 million worldwide after one week of release, it's not impossible. Kong: Skull Island had to clamber down to second place, falling $52.7% for $28.8 million and crossing the $100 million mark. That meant Logan was pushed to third and $17.5 million, though the gritty superhero movie is approaching $500 million worldwide after just a couple of weeks. Horror pic Get Out continues to perform, earning $13.2 million this weeken

#Deadpool Short #Logan

If you've been to see Logan already, then you'll have watched the Deadpool scene that played before Wolverine's latest film started. Wade Wilson (AKA Ryan Reynolds) has put it officially online for those who have yet to watch it... The footage – which the filmmakers have been quick to stress is not from the sequel now in development, though includes more than a few nods to potential elements, including Nathan Summers' (Cable) name scrawled on the phone booth – finds our less than responsible hero attempting a Superman-style quick change to help the victim of a street mugging. Suffice to say, he takes a little longer than Clark Kent usually does and things do not turn out well for the poor civilian. Still, at least Wade gets ice cream out of it. With Reynolds suiting up once more, Deadpool 2 once again has Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese on script duty, with John Wick's David Leitch taking over the director's chair from Tim Miller. There is no release dat

On this bigger, bolder, smellier version of Inside the Bucket , Matt and Brandon gather to give you all this week's movie and television news and reviews from our website SANDWICHJOHNFILMS.COM . Already dripping with SJF ballsy grease, the boys endeavor to discuss several items of supposed importance. This week, they reflect on last Sunday's Oscar winners and debate whether the awards ceremony still has value. Then it's on to this week's box office report, as Matt gives us a historical breakdown of the importance behind Logan 's dominating opening weekend. The boys also discuss movies hitting Blu-ray this week. After a quick bladder break, it's on to Rants and Raves, where the boys bitch and gripe about all the things they've been watching a reading about this week. See our show notes to see what's bothering Brandon and Matt this week. The show ends w

Movie Review: #LOGAN I'm about to geek out

Bear with me, I'm about to geek out, but won't give up any spoilers. I thought it was great! I'm a big enough of a fan that I'd probably enjoy any mutant related movie they come out with, but not so die hard that I'm critical about deviations from the comics. Review by: Rob Mateer So my opinion probably isn't very objective. I heard a few people mention that the franchise is starting to run out of ideas and a 3rd Wolverine movie is getting old, but that's just something a non-fan or someone who didn't know the comics would say. The Mutant storyline for Marvel has gone on for decades and is probably their most popular story arc. The X-Men are what made me switch from D.C. to Marvel as a kid. I stopped collecting comics right when the Reavers, Mr. Sinister, and Genosha were introduced in the X Men. Supposedly, this is Hugh Jackman's last time playing Wolverine, so it's kind of fitting for me that he's ending his portrayal of the role with

X-23 Is Indeed In Logan

Last week saw a flurry of information on the third Wolverine spin-off Logan , culminating in a spine-tingling first trailer , Empire pressed Mangold on who exactly the mysterious girl in the trailer was – but he stayed tight-lipped. Now it looks like we have confirmation: she is in fact the character known as ‘ X-23 ’. Logan’s official Instagram account, the enigmatically-named @wponx (as in, Weapon X) , posted an image of Dafne Keane , the actress who plays the character, with the caption “ Laura ”. In the comics, X23 is a girl named Laura Kinney, and the clone-daughter of Logan from the Weapon X program hoping to replicate Wolverine’s regenerative powers and super-strength. She is the 23rd attempt to make such a clone, hence the name. She is a relatively new character, first appearing in 2004, and has since appeared as part of the X-Force team. Mangold heavily hinted that would be the case, telling us last week: “I think I will just let speculation run rampant about that. I th

International Trailer For #LOGAN

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine has survived through the full X-Men movie series and now, after 16 years, he’s whipping out his claws one last time for Logan. And in the third and final Wolverine movie, he’s losing his self-healing powers—but he’s found his successor. Set in 2024, Logan brings Wolverine back as a lone survivor in a time when mutants are all gone or in hiding, hunted by government assassins. Set to Johnny Cash’s cover of “Hurt” by Nine Inch Nails (director James Mangold is also behind the Cash biopic Walk the Line), the first trailer for the movie shows a scarred Logan living in a wasteland, isolated from the rest of the world. But in such a dire time, there’s still hope: Wolverine and a very sickly Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) must come together to protect Laura (Sienna Novikov), a young girl with powers very similar to Logan’s, from the cyborg Reavers. Boyd Holbrook To Play Main Villain, Donald Pierce In Logan

The haul of new information and imagery about the new Wolverine film – which we now know to be titled Logan – is building by the day. Director James Mangold and his team have been adding cryptic pictures to the movie's Instagram account , with the latest revealing that Boyd Holbrook 's villain in the film, pictured above, is Donald Pierce. See all the images after the Jump... In the Marvel comics where he's cropped up in X-Men and other stories, Pierce is a cyborg with ties to The Hellfire Club. He's also known for creating the cybernetic army known as the Reavers (which may or may not crop up in Logan) . While there's every chance that elements of his backstory will be shifted and twisted for the movie, it's at least more of a clue as to what, or who might be causing problems for Hugh Jackman's main man. Other images have been a little less info-packed, but no less effective, including the gruesome remains of what happens when someone
