Robert Zemeckis’ A Christmas Carol Italian Trailer.

The good folks over at trailersland Got their hand on the New Italian Trailer for Robert ZemeckisA Christmas Carol.

The movie is Due out on November 6, 2009
Charles Dickens' timeless tale of an old miser who must face Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet-to-Come, as they help to bring kindness to his otherwise cold heart. The Ghosts remind him of the man he used to be, the hard truth of what the world is today, and what will happen if he does not strive to be a better man. Set around Christmas, the most joyous day of the year, Scrooge realizes the sharp contrast of his own personality.

Jim Carrey plays four separate roles in this updated version of A Christmas Carol. Carrey portrays Scrooge, as well as the three ghosts (Past, Present, and Yet-to-Come). His dynamic character roles keep the four characters as diverse as being played by four actors.

Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future trilogy) has his chance to dabble in telling a story through the windows of time, as he directs the long-awaited remake.

Couple's Retreat The Movie Coming Soon.

How can you go wrong with a Movie Starring Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau? Well you can't. It's Like building a great Sandwich. Vince and John are the Bread. Then you a few slices on Jean Reno, Kristin Davis and Malin Akerman with a side of Kristin Bell. ( NICE ) and a sprinkle of Jason Bateman, Kali Hawk and My man Faizon. You have a Great Sandwich in the making. Dam after this I need to go get something to eat.

The movie is comedy centered around four couples who settle into a tropical-island resort for a vacation. While one of the couples is there to work on the marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resort's therapy sessions is not optional.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (July 15, 2009)

After wowing TV audiences with a cutting-edge, animated look at “a galaxy far, far away,” Star Wars: The Clone Wars™ The Complete Season One is coming to DVD and high-definition Blu-ray Disc November 3 from Lucasfilm Ltd. and Warner Home Video.

Live the adventures again and again, and dig deeper into the first season of The Clone Wars with a comprehensive look behind-the-scenes of the popular animated series. Uniquely packaged with an exclusive 64 page production journal, the four-disc set contains all 22 episodes from the groundbreaking first season - including seven extended Director’s Cuts - as well as companion featurettes for each episode. And exclusive to the Blu-ray disc, The Jedi Temple Archives provides in-depth access to an extensive database of creative materials.

“I’m a longtime Star Wars fan, and the same’s true for a lot of the guys working on the show,” said supervising director Dave Filoni. “And as a fan, I know that Lucasfilm can be pretty secretive. They’re famous for it. But we’re all so proud of the work that’s gone into The Clone Wars, and we wanted to share some of our production tricks, and open up the vault and reveal our efforts. You’re going to get unprecedented access, to see the nuts and bolts of our series - from concept to finished animation.”

Created and executive produced by George Lucas, the first-ever TV production from Lucasfilm Animation explores the tumultuous time between Episodes II and III of the live-action saga, expanding the scope of Star Wars beyond anything seen in the feature films. With the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance, the heroes of the Republic - including the valiant Jedi Knights and their loyal clone troopers - fight bravely to repel the attacks of the evil Separatists and their droid army.

“The live-action saga was just the beginning. The universe is vast, and there are so many more stories to explore beyond Anakin’s fall and redemption,” said Lucas. “The scope of the war gives us the perfect vehicle for a weekly series, allowing us to look at how the conflict has affected the farthest reaches of the galaxy, including characters, creatures and races we only glimpsed in the feature films. Animation has allowed us to visualize the worlds and characters of Star Wars in all new ways.”

Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Complete Season One will be available November 3 for the suggested retail price of $44.98 for DVD and $59.99 for Blu-ray.

Ponyo Free Screening at San Diego Comic Con

HITFIX is presenting a FREE screening of the Movie Ponyo by Hayao Miyazaki.
Screening will be held at Reading Pacific Gaslamp 15
First come first serve. Be there early if you want to get in to the screening.
Doors open at 7PM and Movie starts at 8PM
It's been ten years since Hayao Miyazaki came to America to promote "Princess Mononoke," the first of his films to get a major push theatrically here. That was through Miramax, back when they were a Disney company, and since then, the Studio Ghilbli deal has moved over to the Walt Disney label, where they've been slowly but surely putting out most of the Ghibli library on DVD with new English-language dubs. Honestly, I can't think of any anime library that's been better treated overall, and I'm sure a big part of that is because of John Lasseter and his boundless respect for Miyazaki. At this point, when Lasseter talks, Disney listens.

Beever's Harry Potter and the half blood prince Review from a fans point of view.Spoiler

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has lived up to the high standards now expected for the Harry Potter franchise. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson have really done well in the roles of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Part of what makes this franchise successful is that these actors as well as the other actors in the franchise have stuck with the roles (with the obvious exception of the late Richard Harris who died after portraying Albus Dumbledore in the first two movies) and the fact that they will remain in the roles through the next two movies. Yes, I know that there is only one more book but they are going to split it into two movies. I know some people think that this is just to make more money from the franchise since it is nearing the end but I like believe it is so they can include as much of the storyline as possible.

I think I may have enjoyed this movie more than the others since this is the first time I have not re-read the whole book right before seeing the movie (I started to but only got to page 232). Since it has been a few years since my last reading I wasn't able to point out too many scenes that were added to the movie which were not in the book. There are a few though and that would be my only complaint with the movie. I can understand taking out scenes obviously since you can not fit 652 pages into a 2 1/2 hour movie but I don't like when scenes are added to a movie that were not in the book.

Without giving too much away the movie follows Harry Potter and company through another year at Hogwarts. This year finds the group growing up a bit with romance in the air for Ron & Hermione and Harry & Ginny. We also see the growing up of Draco Malfoy in a different manner as he enters into service for Lord Voldemort. There is a new teacher at Hogwort yet again although it surprising to find out that this teacher is not there to fill the vacant Defense Against the Dark Arts teaching spot. Guess who finally gets to teach it? As usual Harry is suspicious of Snape and Draco. Ron & Hermione think that he is over reacting. Harry is vindicated in the end when both Snape & Draco live up to their bad reputations. Harry & Dumbledore fight to rid the world of Lord Voldemort.

Overall it was an excellent movie and I give it 4 1/2 SANDWICH'S out of 5.

New GI Joe Trailer. Looking Better

I can tell you one thing they are doing a great job with the previews to the movie. And the Posters aren't that bad either. I am still up in the air with this movie. From what I have seen so far Not sure. But with the new trailer they are Winning me over.Trust me I am still going to go see the movie. Good or bad reviews doesn't matter. Maybe going into the movie with the low expectations, the movie will be better then I think it is going to be. I am very much looking forward to seeing Snake Eyes in action. He is being played by Ray Park. And looks pretty kick ass. One thing on my mind is. No GI Joe presence at Comic Con this year? You would think they would be there. You would think they would need to build up the Hype for the movie. Maybe they will show up as a surprise. Check out the two new trailers of the movie. Enjoy

New Trailor for the Movies Brothers.

The new trailer for the Movies Brothers is out.
The movie stars an all star cast.
Natalie Portman, Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire

This movie is a Remake of the 2004 movie By the same name Brothers
When a decorated Marine goes missing overseas, his black-sheep younger brother cares for his wife and children at home--with consequences that will shake the foundation of the entire family.

'Brothers' tells the powerful story of two siblings, thirty-something Captain Sam Cahill (Tobey Maguire) and younger brother Tommy Cahill (Jake Gyllenhaal), who are polar opposites. A Marine about to embark on his fourth tour of duty, Sam is a steadfast family man married to his high school sweetheart, the aptly named Grace (Natalie Portman), with whom he has two young daughters (Bailee Madison, Taylor Grace Geare). Tommy, his charismatic younger brother, is a drifter just out of jail who's always gotten by on wit and charm. He slides easily into his role as family provocateur on his first night out of prison, at Sam's farewell dinner with their parents, Elsie (Mare Winningham) and Hank Cahill (Sam Shepard), a retired Marine.

Shipped out to Afghanistan, Sam is presumed dead when his Black Hawk helicopter is shot down in the mountains. At home in suburbia, the Cahill family suddenly faces a shocking void, and Tommy tries to fill in for his brother by assuming new found responsibility for himself, Grace, and the children.

But Sam is not dead; he and a fellow soldier have been captured by Taliban fighters. In Afghanistan's harsh, remote Pamir Mountains, Sam is subjected to traumas that threaten to rob him of his very humanity. At the same time that Sam's sense of self is being destroyed overseas, Tommy's self-image is strengthening at home. And in the grief and strangeness of their new lives, Grace and Tommy are naturally drawn together. Their longstanding frostiness dissolves, but both are frightened and ashamed of the mutual attraction that has replaced it.

When Sam unexpectedly returns to the States, a nervous mood settles over the family. Sam, uncharacteristically withdrawn and volatile, grows suspicious of his brother and his wife. Their familiar roles now nearly reversed, Sam and Tommy end up facing the ultimate physical and mental challenge when they confront each other. In the shifting family dynamics, who will dominate? And how will the brothers come to terms with issues of love, loyalty, and manhood--and with the woman caught between them?
The movie is due out on Dec.4,2009
