BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Loot Crate Review: June 2015

Loot Crate moves its subscription box to new heights June 2015's Cyber-themed box. Review by Matt Cummings With strong appearances by the subscription box Loot Crate in March and April and May , things were sure to take a backseat at least once after February's disaster, right? I mean, we couldn't be THAT lucky to get impressively better and better boxes from the service that promises a nice return on your $20 monthly subscription. Luckily, I can report that May's theme of CYBER is not only excellent, but moves the service to a new level with improving quality and a clear desire to be #1 in the industry. Neighbors are now used to seeing Loot's nondescript sex toy packaging appearing at my door. Let's just hope they're comfortable with the whipping sounds as well. A quick scissoring of the tape underneath and goodness abounds. I think I see a little Transformer/Tron action here! Upon cracking the case, we find another terrific t-sh

Olivia Wilde Returns for #Tron3

She re-joins Garrett Hedlund, but no word on Jeff Bridges. Story by Matt Cummings When Tron: Legacy debuted in 2010, it didn't exactly win everyone over, at least not right away. Chided by critics as missing the spirit of the 1982 trippy computer-generated cult classic, it's gone on to become a rather beloved forerunner to more recent films. From the beautiful imagery by Director Joseph Kosinkski to the huge orchestral score by Daft Punk, Tron: Legacy has stuck around in moviegoer's minds far longer than more recent, established franchises ( Amazing Spider-man , Transformers ). And while a follow-up was only recently guaranteed, it appears that another critical component has re-joined for another adventure. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Actress Olivia Wilde is set to return, along with Garrett Hedlund in the follow-up currently titled Tron 3 . Wilde, who played the computer-generated-butt-kicking Quorra, escaped with Sam Flynn (Hedlund) to the re

DVD Tuesday April 5,2011

It's Another Tuesday, so kids you know what that means. DVD Tuesday . We got all the information on the DVD's that were released today. Let's hope this information help's you to decide what movie to Rent or Buy. Don't forget to read my interview with Cindy Morgan who plays Lora/Yori in the original TRON . TRON One of the earliest feature films to reflect the video-game craze of the 1980s, Disney's Tron stars Jeff Bridges as computer programmer Kevin Flynn, who becomes part of the very game that he's programming. Flynn's principal antagonist is his glory-grabbing boss, Ed Dillinger (David Warner), who likewise metamorphoses into a video-game character. The title character, a computer-generated superhero, is played by Bruce Boxleitner. Though antiquated by 1990s standards, Tron represented the last word in special effects back in 1982. Surprisingly, despite its long-range influence on the movie industry, the film was a box-office disappointment wh

Exclusive Interview With Cindy Morgan-She Talks TRON And Working With The Cast Again

I had the honor and pleasure to interview Cindy Morgan this weekend at Wonder Con, what a dream that was for me. Growing up a huge Tron fan I never thought I would get the opportunity to even meet or talk to her. This weekend a little boys dream cam true. Cindy was so gracious with her time with me, she took the time out of her days to answer a few questions for me. This is part one of my interview with Cindy. We talked about the 1982 film TRON and about why she was excluded from TRON LEGACY . I even got her to talk about her first film Caddyshack . I think that enough from me now onto our interview. My first question for her was... How was it playing the role of Lora/Yori in the Original TRON film. And how she felt when she first saw the script for the film. It was great, she is more like me then you know. I looked at the character Lora and I when I got the job it was almost immediately. I came into one meeting and I was put on camera with Jeff, I hadn't rea

Original Tron Blu-Ray Cover Art

Thehdroom got their hands on what could be the cover art for the upcoming Original Tron Blu-ray cover art. We have known since last fall that Disney is hard at work restoring the original 1982 Tron for Blu-ray Disc and that it would be released alongside Tron: Legacy on Blu-ray in either March or April of this year. While the Tron Blu-ray announcement is still a little ways off, I do have a little treat right off the grid to share this morning. Check out the cover art after the Jump.. Below is what will likely (though not 100% certain as the design could change before release) be the Blu-ray cover art for Tron: The Original Classic. From the cover you can see that Disney will be packaging Tron on Blu-ray with the DVD version and that it has been labeled a "special edition" release. I can't get into specifics right now as to what warrants Tron brandishing the "special edition" tag. I can say that Disney is taking this catalog release seriously and is exp

Original Tron Trailer Updated And Is Amazing

Original Tron Trailer Updated And Is Amazing This is just amazing, this guy should be working in Hollywood in some capacity.  Here is an incredible fan made trailer for the 1982 Tron film.  Maybe this trailer will help some of the people out there that are still on the fence about the original  film and the sequel. DrewboiX put this trailer together and made it look fantastic, it is more fast pace then the original and he gave it some amazing CGI effects, I love the the title images and the score isn't half bad.
