Charlie’s Angels Coming To ABC

Charlie’s Angels  will be coming to ABC next year. The pilot has been greenlit by the network. This move has been long expected, but now the project is firmly moving forward, along with Smallville writer-producers Miles Millar and Al Gough. The new modern-day version of the show will be set in Miami. The producers (Leonard Goldberg, Drew Barrymore, Nancy Juvonen), Sony Pictures TV and Flower Films will now dive into casting to figure out the tricky task of finding TV’s new Angels. We hear there’s an offer out to Mark Piznarski (Gossip Girl) to direct. Are you going to give this show a chance? Remakes have traditionally struggled to find viewers on broadcast, though CBS’ showed with Hawaii Five-0 that you can pull off a primetime hit with a classic title. And Angels is certainly on-brand for a network that has a strong female following with shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. The Man is Black's name, identity, motives, backstory and bone of contention with Jacob were never revealed, leading to a flurry of speculation among "Lost" fans about who he really is. A number of castaways will be returning to the island

FlashForward and V-ABC Not Throwing In The Towel Yet

FlashForward and V-ABC Not Throwing In The Towel Yet Fans of ABC's sci-fi series FlashForward and V have been concerned both with the network's decision to delay both shows' spring returns until March and with whether the network continues to have confidence in them, but ABC Entertainment Group President Stephen McPherson assured reporters on Tuesday that he has a clear plan for building both shows' audiences, with two different strategies. In a press conference at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour in Pasadena, Calif., McPherson said he decided it was important to air FlashForward with no repeats, following the network's strategy for Lost's later seasons. For V, he clarified that the plan was always to tell the story in chapters, but that the first chapter got shortened to only four episodes because of production issues. "The original [1984-'85] V was two minis and then a series," McPherson said in a group interview later.

ABC Puts "Flash Forward." Hiatus

ABC Puts "Flash Forward." Hiatus ABC has pushed the Pause button on "Flash Forward." The network has stopped production on the freshman drama series for this week. The six-day hiatus had been built into the show's schedule, a rep for the network said. "They want to maintain the high quality of the show, and this gives the writers the opportunity to do so," the rep said. The hiatus comes on the heels of "Flash Forward" hitting a series low last Thursday. Additionally, co-showrunner/executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently left the heavily serialized sci-fi series, with co-creator/exec producer David Goyer stepping in as sole showrunner. "Flash Forward" is the second freshman series to go on a non-holiday hiatus in the past week. Comedy "Cougar Town" was shut down so star Courteney Cox can deal with personal issues.
