Paul Trailer Starring Simon Pegg & Seth Rogen

Here Comes Paul

Paul is an upcoming 2011 ensemble science fiction comedy film directed by Greg Mottola and written by and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Featuring Seth Rogen as the voice of the title character. We got a sneak peck of the film during Comic-Con ’10 and I am still skeptical about this film after seeing this trailer. Maybe be its the British humor?

Pegg and Frost (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) play two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America’s UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever.

For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base

For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-traveling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town — a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost).

Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes.

Tron: Legacy Review By SandwichJohn

Tron: Legacy Movie Review
By: SandwichJohn

Alright let's start this again. Two hours of writing my review have been lost, but I have to get this done so let's start all over again. This is my life.

The original Tron came out back in 1982 and I don't remember going to see it in theater but I do remember wearing out our Beta machine watching the movie over and over again. Going in the back yard while living in Sagamihara,Japan and playing disc wars with a Frisbee, throwing them at my buddies and pretending we were in the arena.

This has to be one of the most anticipated films for me in my life time other then the release of Star Wars Episode 1. I have been hoping and wishing that they would make a sequel for more than 20 years.

I attended my first Comic-Con back in 2008 and there was buzz that there was going to be a tron panel during the Disney presentation. We got a teaser trailer TR2N. It depicted a yellow Program engaged in a light cycle battle with a blue Program, and it prominently featured Jeff Bridges reprising his role as an aged Kevin Flynn (from the first film). At the end of the trailer, the yellow Program showed his face, which appeared identical to Flynn's earlier program Clu (resembling the younger Flynn in Tron). And the place went WILD!! From that point Disney went into full effect with their promotion machine. Having campaigns from Flynn Lives to Flynns Arcade at Comic-Con and throughout the world. So expectations were high. The trailers looked better and better, this movie was going to be amazing. Isn't that what we all thought when we saw the trailers for Episode 1?

So when I had the chance to see an advance screening of this film I had mixed emotions. I told myself that I would need to see the film again before I wrote my review because first time round I was so disappointed with the movie. Second time around the movie improved somewhat. And remember this review is coming from someone who was been waiting over 20 years for this movie to come out and had HUGE expectations for the movie.

Read review after the Jump..

For more then 20 years Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) has been waiting or hoping that his father Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) would return, or receive any word on where and why he disappeared. Hedlund will not win an Oscars award for his performance in this movie. Over acting and just some kiddish facial expressions took a toll on me throughout the movie.

During the board meeting at the beginning of the film I will tell you to keep you eyes and ears out for an unexpected character in the movie. IF you have seen the original Tron then you will know who I am talking about and if you haven't then you will have no idea what I am talking about. Ask the person next you.

We then see Alan Bradley (Bruce Boxleitner) surprise Sam at his house with the information that he got a page from the arcade and that the phone has been disconnected for more then 20 years. Like any young adult Sam heads to his father's arcade. This was one of the highlights for me of the film. When Sam walks in and turns on the breaker for the arcade you see all the lights and games turn on and then you hear Journey - Separate Ways (Worlds Apart). Damn, goose bumps then and now when I'm writing this review.

Sam then makes his way to the Infamous Encom game Tron, and of course there is a hidden lair behind the game. When he reaches the ground floor his finds his father's old computer and like any kid would do he hacks into the computer. And then BAMM he is sucked into the grid. By the same digitizing laser that sent his father in over 20 years ago.

We see some familiar vehicles in the back ground as Sam is captured and taken to get his first experience with Disc Wars. Another highlight for me of this movie was the Disc Wars scene. During Comic-Con last year they asked everyone in attendance for their panel to shout out key phrases and it would be used in the film. So when you hear the crowd shout "Disc Wars" you can hear my voice in the top right corner. The visuals of this scene are amazing and the 3D technology really pays off during this scene. After he defeats 2 (keep an eye out to Sam's Room when he was a kid and the figure he has on a shelf) of his opponents he runs into Rinzler who is CLU's right hand man and top dog of Disc Wars. As the fight goes on Rinzler cuts Sam and realizes he is not a program but a user.

Sam is summoned by CLU to his office (penthouse) and when CLU reveals himself to Sam he look like just Kevin Flynn, the father that left him behind 20 years earlier.  But he is the program that Flynn design to help maintain the grid. Now let's talk about CLU and how he looked. CLU reminds me of some of the ladies I have seen on Bravo's Housewife show, like a person with too much plastic surgery, the skin and mouth movements are not as smooth as I was hoping. The face is the window to the soul and it just looked awkward.

Probably the best part of the movie had to be the the light cycle scene in the movie. Not like the one we saw in the first film, where the cycles could only move in 90 degree angles, these new light cycles could drive like a regular cycle go where they wanted. Visually this scene is amazing. It will blow you away. I'll leave it at that and let you know that this is where Sam meets Quorra (Olivia Wilde.)

Quorra takes Sam on the ride of this life and this is where the film starts to slow down. And all the momentum from the two keys scenes disappear. They are headed to a secret hide out that Quorra shares with her master. When they make their entrance into the house you see someone mediating and wearing a karate kid gi kneeling. To no ones surprise its Sam's father, Kevin Flynn. It was an emotional moment in the film. Father and son reunite after more then 20years. Touching scene. I heard a sniffle from the right seat next to me. One part of this whole scene that bugged me was them eating dinner. In the original Tron when they needed energy they drank out of a river and you would see their body glow in bright neon color. Now in this one they eat whole pigs, YES, why would you have a whole pig on the table? I know I am anal sometimes and little things bug the shit out of me. SO, over drinks and Pig, Mr. Flynn explains a new life form known as "isomorphic algorithms"(ISOs) and how they could be used in the real world to unlock all the mysteries known to mankind. And that's where I will stop and let you find out the rest on your own.

Quorra gives information about a man named Zuse that can help Sam return to the real world and end CLU for good. She told him that she once knew a man named Castor (Michael Sheen) and he would be the one that could get him in contact with Zuse. That leads us to The End Of The Line club and our first chance to see Daft Punk. Two things that stand out in this scene. First, at the special screening of the movie more people were excited to see Daft Punk rather then the actual movie. I did enjoy the soundtrack to the the film, but just don't get the love for Daft Punk, but that's just me. Second, is the role of Castor, I think this is one role they could have cut out of the film. He really brought nothing to the movie other then getting to see another kick-ass fight scene in his club. And, how easy it is to steal the identity disk from Flynn. Of course the 3 of them escape but not without Quorra being injured.

While on the "Solar Sailer" Flynn works his magic on Quorra, which is hard to do. The fact that she is special makes it very important that she is repaired. Once Flynn works his magic, her system is rebooted and everything is hunky-dory again. While on the sailer Quorra talks to Sam about always wanting to see the real world and particularly a sunrise (Things we take for granted).

The one scene that drew me back to the Star Wars films was the scene in Episode 2 when they assemble the clone troopers and are getting ready to send them out to war. Same thing happens in this film.
CLU has assembled the perfect army to go into the human world and make it a perfect world. And Flynn's disc would be the key.

Quorra is captured to sacrifice herself so that Sam can retrieve his fathers disc out of the hands of the control of CLU. Like any predictable movie Sam gets the disc and Quorra, while Flynn is looking for transportation off of the Regulator.

This is where we get our first look at Lightjets. CLU, Rinzler and a posse head after Sam,Quorra and Flynn. Again the visuals are amazing in this fight scene. Cheesy at moments. If your a Star Wars fan let me know if you think that they stole this idea from A New Hope. The one thing that bug me was when Flynn looks at Rinzler and says something which I will not give away but it really bugged me. And Rinzler becomes a Hero, he had all movie to be a hero but chose this part to be one. Forget about it.

Sam, Kevin and Quorra reach the portal and are ready to make the jump back to the real world. But of course CLU is there waiting for them. I don't want to spoil the ending so we will leave it at that. But they do get to see a sunrise. And the fate of Tron is unknown we see him falling into the sea of simulation.

Overall the move fell short of my expectations, but so did the 3 Star Wars prequels. I was expecting something that I would never get. It was one of the most visually amazing looking movie I have ever seen in my life and I wouldn't be surprised to see a sequel get made, but that depends on the box office return from the movie. And my exceptions for the sequel if it ever gets made will be high. I'll never learn.

Eric Bana To Star In Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Eric Bana May Sink His Teeth In The Role

Australian actor Eric Bana is circling the title role in 20th Century Fox's big screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's novel "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" TheWrap has learned.

While Bana hasn't landed the coveted role yet, he's scheduled to meet with director Timur Bekmambetov soon, and is certainly in contention for the part.

The casting would make sense, as there's a bit of a physical resemblance between the two. At 6' 4", Lincoln is the tallest American president, while Bana is the rare leading man who stands at 6' 3".

The epistolary-style book is written as a biography of Lincoln based on "secret diaries" he kept that were given to the author by a vampire named Henry Sturges, who saved Lincoln's life when he battled a vampire as a teenager. The two develop a friendship and Sturges teaches Lincoln how to hunt and kill vampires.

Tim Burton is producing "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," which is scheduled for release on June 22, 2012.

THE OTHER GUYS Autotuna Remix

Let's Get Our Autotuna On

Here is something I came across today in my email. THE OTHER GUYS was released on DVD on Tuesday, and Sony decide to be creative and make this autotuna remix from random clips from the film and turned it into a hilarious music video.

The Other Guys is a comedy film directed and co-written by Adam McKay, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, and featuring Dwayne Johnson, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, Eva Mendes, Steve Coogan, and Ray Stevenson.

Watch after the Jump..

Plot

Detectives Danson (Dwayne Johnson) and Highsmith (Samuel L. Jackson) are pursuing a group of criminals in a car. After a brief firefight that results in the hood of Highsmith's car getting blown into the windshield, the two inadvertently crash into the side of a double decker bus. Danson drives it after the criminals and meticulously slingshots the trapped car out the other side of the bus (with Highsmith firing the whole time) and crashing into the Trump Tower, inexplicably surviving. The criminals manage to get away, until police backup quickly arrives and arrests them.
Detective Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell) is a forensic accountant who is more interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, but idolizes Danson and Highsmith. Dim-witted Detective Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg) has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since he shot Derek Jeter during the World Series. Allen and Hoitz receive no respect from the other officers, who trick Allen into firing his gun in the office (a "desk pop"), leaving him with a wooden practice gun as punishment. During a pursuit of a group of professional bank robbers, Danson and Highsmith die when they jump off a 20-story building onto the sidewalk, inexplicably agreeing to aim for bushes that aren't there.
When an opportunity arises for Terry and Allen (the "other guys") to step up, things do not quite go as planned. Allen begins to investigate a scaffolding permit violation and winds up uncovering a much bigger plot by multi-billionaire David Ershon to cover his company's losses. As things get worse, Allen and Terry are forced to split up. Allen still tries to solve the crime on his own, even though Terry thinks it is a dead end. He finally gets credible evidence and earns his gun back. Allen finally convinces Terry to rejoin him. They stop the criminals who are trying to scam the money that initially Allen believes the $32 billion Ershon seeks will come from the New York Lottery Office, but he discovers it will really come from the New York Police retirement fund. Both officers end up getting shot when police backup finally comes, rescuing the two and arresting Ershon and Wesley. Allen and Terry believe that the true heroes are the ones who make the world a better place, not the ones who appear in the newspaper or on TV. Ershon's arrest leads to a stock market crash and a subsequent federal bailout. The film ends with a peacock flying by the screen in reference to Terry's remark "I am a peacock, you gotta let me fly" as Terry and Allen drive off.

Favreau Chose Magic Kingdom Over Iron Man 3

Favreau Chose Magic Kingdom Over Iron Man 3

Insiders tell Vulture that Favreau has just informed Marvel Studios that he won't direct a third Iron Man film.

It's unclear whether the impasse was financial or creative or both. One informed source hears that he was frustrated with Marvel's urge to stuff more of their in-house heroes into the next film in the wake of The Avengers. In a recent interview with MTV News, Favreau explained that based on his conversations with Marvel Studios executives, he had no clarity as to what a third Iron Man film would even be about. “In theory, Iron Man 3 is going to be a sequel or continuation of Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Avengers,” said Favreau at the time, “This whole world … I have no idea what it is. I don’t think they do either, from conversations I’ve had with those guys.”

Still other industry insiders look at Favreau's growing price tag and speculate that he was getting too expensive for the frugal Marvel and its equally cost-conscious parent company, Disney. In fact, one Hollywood player familiar with Marvel's playbook theorizes that the company had been pushing a confusing and packed vision of the third film as a tactic to provoke Favreau into leaving the project. Favreau, after all, is said to have received $10 million for the Iron Man sequel; it's unclear what he'd be seeking for a third film, but reps familiar with these sorts of gross participation deals tell Vulture that he likely would command $12 million to $15 million up front, plus a 15 percent percent of the gross after the film recouped. With star Robert Downey Jr. also participating in the gross (and so far it's a $1.2 billion global franchise), that's an enormous amount of cash headed out the door. Disney has got to be protective of their profits for an IM3: It bought Marvel for $4 billion in 2009, and then this October paid Paramount Pictures $115 million for the distribution rights to The Avengers and Iron Man 3 in order to reunite the titles with their parent company.

Regardless of why, we’re told that Marvel quietly began the process of finding a director to replace Favreau last night. But Marvel’s task is complicated by the fact that Downey Jr. has both contractually negotiated director approval and is currently the hottest leading man in Hollywood with first pick of dozens of "go" movies around town.

Favreau will be staying on the Disney lot, at least for now: His next project will be the studio's Magic Kingdom, about a family trapped in Disneyland and their magical encounters with all sorts of Disney attractions and rides. Marvel currently has no script for a third Iron Man, and while it has no plans to shoot the film until 2012 at the earliest, Marvel execs hope to put a director on the project to guide its development as soon as possible.

Keira Knightley To Star In Anna Karenina

Keira Knightley To Star In Anna Karenina

The screenplay is being written by Tom Stoppard and the film’s being directed by Joe Wright, who helped make Keira a star.

Stoppard’s adaptation of Tolstoy’s tear-jerking classic, about a married woman who becomes a social outcast when she has an affair with an aristocrat, was commissioned by London-based studio Working Title.
Tragic heroine: Keira Knightley is first choice to play the lead in Tolstoy's tear-jerking classic

Wright, who made Pride And Prejudice and Atonement, featuring two of Keira’s best performances, has talked with his number one leading lady about the idea of playing one of the most tragic heroines of 19th-century Russian literature.

But no deals have been done and there’s some way to go before the picture is even given the official go-ahead.

Tim Bevan, who runs Working Title with Eric Fellner, explained Stoppard’s screenplay is due before Christmas.

‘We’re developing a number of projects with Joe, and Anna Karenina is one of them,’ Bevan told me.

He added that early in the spring they will go over several scripts destined for Wright, including one by Abi Morgan based on The Little Mermaid fairy tale, ‘and we’ll decide what looks like the most sensible thing to do’.

Bevan continued: ‘I’m not saying I’ve made up my mind, but there’s something about Anna Karenina, Tom Stoppard and Joe Wright that sounds right.’

Anna Karenina has been the ‘go to’ posh literary heroine since the early days of the
movies. Greta Garbo played her twice, in a silent version called Love in 1926 and in Clarence Brown’s 1935 interpretation with Fredric March as her lover Count Vronsky and Basil Rathbone as her seemingly cold-hearted husband Karenin.

Helen McCrory led a TV version a decade ago, with Kevin McKidd playing Vronsky and Stephen Dillane as a Karenin who finally made sense on the screen.

As Bevan noted, the story always tugs at your heartstrings because Anna stays in her
marriage not wishing to divorce, because at that time she would have had to relinquish her son.

Wright’s new thriller, Hanna, with Cate Blanchett, will be released in April.

George Clooney To Star In Warner Bros. "Gravity"

George Clooney Replaces Robert Downey Jr.

George Clooney will star opposite Sandra Bullock in Gravity, Warner Bros.’ and Legendary Pictures' 3D outer space thriller that has become a game of musical chairs for actors.

The initial pairing for the Alfonso Cuaron-directed project -- about a female astronaut struggling to survive and trying to make it to Earth after a disaster in space -- was to have been Angelina Jolie and Robert Downey Jr. Then came a protracted series of reversals that saw Jolie leave and come back, and actresses Marion Cotillard, Scarlett Johansson, Blake Lively and Natalie Portman involved with the movie to varying degrees, all within the last eight months.

Downey stuck with the project throughout the various casting changes but in mid-November, just as things looked set with Bullock, he bailed.

Warner considered scrapping the project but conducted a Hail Mary search for the male lead who, while doesn’t carry the movie, is still pivotal in the first act.

Clooney will play an astronaut who survives the space disaster alongside Bullock. The studio is eyeing a spring start of production after Clooney directs Ides of March, the adaptation of the political drama that has Ryan Gosling and Paul Giamatti attached to star.

‘CORPSE BRIDE’ Co-Director Mike Johnson At Helm Of Vanguard’s Animated Film ‘OZ WARS’

‘CORPSE BRIDE’ Co-Director Mike Johnson At Helm Of Vanguard’s Animated Film ‘OZ WARS’

John Williams, President and CEO of Vanguard Films, announced today the company has signed Oscar™ and Annie Award-nominee Mike Johnson, co-director of Corpse Bride, to direct its CG/stop-motion hybrid feature film, Oz Wars.

"Mike Johnson is a spectacular director and one of the masters of stop-motion,” says Williams. “We all think Oz Wars is a wildly original and commercial project that will thrill and astonish audiences. Additionally, due to revolutionary new stop-motion software, Mike will be making this world-class quality film at an unprecedentedly economical cost point.”

Oz Wars, written by Rob Moreland (Space Chimps 1 & 2 and Vanguard's upcoming live action City of Dragons) and Athena Gam (Vanguard's recently announced Alien Rock Band), transforms the Oz narrative into a contemporary, freaky action-packed PG-13 audience pleaser, with Dorothy caught up in a whirlwind of warrior witches, black magic, martial arts and monsters.

"Oz Wars is an animated action-adventure story, but unlike most animated films, it’s not just for kids," Johnson says. "The Land of Oz will be re-imagined using stop-motion to create a world that's dark, slick, sexy, and dangerous. It’s long been a goal of mine to create a hard-hitting, grown-up action film using stop-motion animation. Oz Wars is my opportunity to do that.”

The announcement comes on the heels of an ambitious Vanguard production slate released at AFM which includes CG, live action and CG/live action hybrids. Vanguard recently announced an overall producing/directing deal with Kung Fu Panda co-director John Stevenson, whose first Vanguard directorial project will be Alien Rock Band, a live action/CGI hybrid, with musician Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) attached as a producer.

A veteran animator and director, Texas-native Mike Johnson won the British Animation Award and earned Oscar™ and Annie Award nominations (with co-director Tim Burton) for his feature film Corpse Bride. As an animator his credits include The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach and the Emmy Award-wining children's series Bump in The Night. Johnson's directing credits also include episodes of the Emmy Award-winning television series The PJs, and the award-winning short The Devil Went Down To Georgia, which he also produced.

Zeus To Return and Title Revealed for Clash Of The Titans 2

Liam Neeson is set to return along with Sam Worthington, Gemma Arterton, and Ralph Fiennes to star in Clash Of The Titans 2 Wrath Of The Titans.

The first film did nothing for me at all. But we did hear some good news for you fans of the film. Producer Basil Iwanyk previously said the sequel will be shot in 3D,He also said some of the gods will be back and there are going to be 3 new key roles that are probably going to be played by big stars…

Liam Neeson has promised the Clash Of The Titans sequel will have some action-packed scenes.

The Irish actor will reprise his role as Greek god Zeus in the eagerly anticipated follow-up, Wrath Of The Titans, and is excited about it.

"I've only read half of the script and there is still some work being done - they're on script 10 - but I think it's going to be some kick-a** stuff and a very human story to it," he said.

"We will start next March. I'm very much looking forward to it. It's a whole revamping, you know," he added.

As a young man, Jacob Jankowski (Robert Pattinson) was tossed by fate onto a rickety train that was home to the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth. It was the early part of the great Depression, and for Jacob, now ninety, the circus world he remembers was both his salvation and a living hell. A veterinary student just shy of a degree, he was put in charge of caring for the circus menagerie.

It was there that he met Marlena (Reese Witherspoon), the beautiful equestrian star married to August (Christoph Waltz), the charismatic but twisted animal trainer. And he met Rosie, an un-trainable elephant who was the great gray hope for this third-rate traveling show. The bond that grew among this unlikely trio was one of love and trust, and, ultimately, it was their only hope for survival.

Clint Eastwood Talks Casting DiCaprio,Theron & Dench For Upcoming J. Edgar Film

Eastwood Talks Casting For Upcoming Film J. Edgar

The star were aligned for the Sandwich last night during the Red Carpet for the California Hall Of Fame induction. First I got an interview with The Man, James Cameron, which is hard for a small website like mine with no money behind it, just hard work. And as you can tell Hard Work does pay off.

From a a distance a cloud of dust over takes the red carpet. And I hear the theme from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. No, it can't be, the a misty cloud comes over the area and I hear "Go ahead, make my day". Well, not really, but Clint Eastwood appears and I had no clue he was going to attend the ceremony.

I was so unprepared for this one. Mr. Eastwood walked the Red Carpet, taking a time out to talk to James Cameron. Again the BIG dogs get their chance to get the first crack at him. There was no way I was going to let this once in a life time chance to talk to Dirty Harry, pass me bye...

The first thing I have to say is that Clint Eastwood is a SUPER nice guy and very charming person. Now onto the questions and trust me I have a few good ones:

Read my Exclusive after the Jump..

I asked him about his casting for the upcoming Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar Hoover biopic (Which has been retitled J. Edgar) and how he went about casting Leonardo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover.

Eastwood- The script is a very good script and we were all preparing it and he liked the the script. He actually volunteered for it.

And the casting of Charlize Theron for the film?

Eastwood- We think she will be in the film (With a smile.) And Judi Dench is definitely in the film and there we are.

I thanked him as he shook my hand and made his way down the carpet.

Mr. Eastwood was induced into the The California Hall of Fame in 2006 along with César Chávez, Walt Disney, Amelia Earhart,Frank Gehry, David Ho, M.D., Billie Jean King, John Muir, Ronald Reagan, Sally Ride, Alice Walker and the Hearst and Packard

This event is starting to get bigger and bigger as the years have gone on. I am very curious to attend next years induction to see who will be honored and with Arnold Schwarzenegger leaving office to see if it will it have an effect on the people who are inducted?

James Cameron Out Of Cleopatra Confirmed & Talks Avatar 2

Exclusive Cameron Talks Cleopatra And The Next Two Avatars

I had the pleasure of attending the California Hall of Fame 2010 induction last night. James Cameron was one of the 14 people being inducted this night. It was rainy and cold last night but nothing was going to stop me from trying to get in a questions to one of the all time great directors and producers ever, James Cameron. I also had the chance to meet the Man, George Lucas, last year. This is every young man's dream to meet and get time to talk to James Cameron. I spoke to Mr. Cameron, or asked a question, to him at Comic Con when he was promoting the release of Avatar back in 2009. But this was a whole different experience.

Mr. Cameron was being pushed down the Red Carpet pretty fast, spending most of his time with ET and Extra, but my chance was coming. Would he talk to the Sandwich or just blow me off?

Like my bother said "I have a huge presence on the Red Carpet" Well, hell yeah I do, I'm a Meneghetti! 6'6" and some change.

Read my Exclusive with Mr. Cameron after the Jump..

The first question I wanted to know was if he was going to be involved in a "Cleopatra" film? And he answer with a straight up answer.

Cameron- I'm not doing it. I already made my decision I am doing Avatar 2.

I asked him about any information he could give out about Avatar 2 and 3. Hey I had to give it a shot, what did I have to loose?

Cameron- We are doing the second and third Avatar films sorta of a conjoined production over the next five years. The films will completely innovated and I can't tell you any of it. It's all classified, stories classified, characters are classified. No teasers. (In the back ground Jame's wife Suzy Amis let's us know "It will be really cool") You know what, I'm guessing the movie is not gonna to make it into theaters without people knowing an awful lot about the film, actually alot more then I would like them to know about the film."

And that was it. Then he headed out of my life and down the Red Carpet.

Press release about James Cameron that was given to us.

Born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada, James Cameron grew up in the historic village of Chippawa, near Niagara Falls. In 1971, he moved to Brea, California where he studied physics at Fullerton Junior College while working as a machinist and, later, a truck driver. Cameron quit his trucking job in 1978 and raised money from local dentists to produce a 35mm short film.

The visual effects in this film led to work on Roger Corman's Battle Beyond the Stars (1980). In 1983 Cameron wrote three scripts: Rambo: First Blood Part 2, Aliens, and The Terminator. He directed The Terminator, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, in 1984.

Cameron subsequently directed Aliens (1986), then wrote and directed The Abyss (1989). Following that he wrote, produced and directed Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), True Lies (1994), Titanic (1997), and Avatar (2009). He also co-wrote and produced Point Break (1991) and Strange Days (1994), as well as producing Solaris (2003).

His films have blazed new trails in visual effects and set numerous performance records both domestically and abroad. Avatar currently holds both the domestic and worldwide box office records having grossed over $2.7 billion at the global box office, beating the previous record holder, Titanic, which held that record for 12 years. Cameron's films have also earned numerous nominations and awards from a variety of organizations, including Titanic's 14 Academy Award nominations (a record) and 11 Oscars (the most any movie has received), including Cameron's 3 Oscars for Best Picture, Best Direction and Best Editing. Avatar won the Golden Globes for Best Director and Best Picture. It was nominated for 9 Academy Awards and won 3.

Cameron has also been an avid scuba diver since 1969. In 1995, Cameron made 12 manned-submersible dives to the Titanic in preparation for his feature film. The technical success of that expedition fueled his desire to bring the experience of deep ocean exploration to audiences around the world. He turned to documentary filmmaking and formed Earthship Productions to develop films about ocean exploration and conservation.

His team's historic exploration of the inside of Titanic was the subject of Cameron's 3-D Imax film, Ghosts of the Abyss, which utilized the 3D camera system that he developed with Vince Pace. In May of 2002, Cameron guided his robotic cameras inside the wreck of Bismarck for the Discovery Channel documentary, James Cameron’s Expedition: Bismarck.

Cameron's team then made 4 expeditions to deep hydrothermal vent sites in the Atlantic, Pacific and Sea of Cortez over a two-year period, which became the subject of Aliens of the Deep, also released in 3D Imax. Most recently, Cameron has ultimately led 7 deep ocean expeditions with over 70 deep submersible dives, including 51 Mir dives to depths up to 16,000 feet.

As an explorer, Cameron has been equally fascinated by outer as well as inner space. He is currently a co-investigator on the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) Mastcam, which will be the first 3D motion imaging camera to operate on another planet, when it begins its exploration there in 2011. Cameron served on the NASA Advisory Council for 3 years.

Cameron is also continuing to develop a number of ocean projects, and other environmentally themed documentaries.

Taylor Lautner To Star In "Incarceron"

Taylor Lautner Going To Jail

Twilight Saga's Taylor Lautner has become attached to star in Incarceron, the Fox 2000 adaptation of the Catherine Fisher young adult novel. The film is being written by Adam Cooper & Bill Collage, who are among the writers behind the Brett Ratner-directed Universal comedy Tower Heist, and who are writing Moby Dick for Timur Bekmambetov and Moses for Fox and Peter Chernin.

Lautner will play Finn, who has lived his entire life on Incarceron, a savage, futuristic prison society. He meets the daughter of the warden, who is trapped in her own prison, a futuristic world constructed beautifully to look like the 17th Century. She knows nothing of Incarceron except that it exists. She and Finn simultaneously find a crystal key that allows them to communicate and hatch an escape plan for Finn. The film will be produced by John Palermo and Lautner is likely to become involved as a producer as well.

Aside from the final two Twilight Saga films being directed by Bill Condon, Lautner starred in Abduction, the John Singleton-directed thriller from Lionsgate. He's also booked to star as Stretch Armstrong in the Universal Pictures/Hasbro film. He's repped by WME and Management 360.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Trailer

I Will Not DoThat Again

On Stranger Tides sees Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow and Geoffrey Rush as Hector Barbossa, off in search of the Fountain of Youth, facing certain opposition from Ian McShane as the dastardly Blackbeard. Penelope Cruz, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Gemma Ward, Oscar Jaenada, Sam Clafin and Stephen Graham are also setting sail, with Rob Marshall at the helm. The film comes ashore next May.

That metallic sheen could suggest any number of likelihoods. Perhaps Jack Sparrow will find an island of pirate Terminators, or get his skeleton laced with adamantium (either of which we would totally pay to see). Possibly it hints at an encounter with the Silver Surfer, or, at a stretch (because those other suggestions are so plausible) with Chromeskull from Laid to Rest. Or maybe it's a metaphor for On Stranger Tides itself: an entry in a franchise that's comfortably familiar but slightly tweaked.
