Key Actors Leaving Glee After Season 3

Glee regulars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith and Chris Colfer will not be back for the fourth season of the Fox musical hit. In an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, series co-creator Ryan Murphy said that the three regulars will be among the characters who graduate at the end of the fall’s upcoming third season. Colfer, Michele and Monteith are “not going to be back at all for Season 4,” Murphy said. “You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.” Murphy added that planning for the future beyond high school will be a heavy theme during Season 3, noting that “more characters are leaving than are staying” when graduation time comes at the season’s end. “We’ve never done anything by the book,” he said, adding that who’s graduating and who’s staying will be r

Glee 3D Singing Into Theaters In August

When I first saw a preview of the show at Comic-Con 2009, I just knew this show was going to be big, but 20th Century Fox TV and film divisions have partnered to produce GLEE LIVE! 3D! , a feature film based on the upcoming Glee Live! In Concert! North American tour. Never thought this would happen. The studio plans to release the film for a two-week engagement starting Aug. 12. Gleeks who were unable to get tickets will be able to catch the concert in 3D. The tour starred 14 members of the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning TV show, and the film will also feature behind-the-scenes moments. The feature will be directed by Fame helmer Kevin Tancharoen. Given the rabid following that Ryan Murphy's show has, this seems like as good as a cash machine for the studio. It worked for Sony on the Michael Jackson documentary This Is It! (whose limited run was extended, something that always seems to happen), and Paramount cleaned up with the Justin Bieber documentary Never Say Never. The

I Am Number 4 Movie Review By: SandwichJohn

I Am Number 4 Movie Review By: SandwichJohn I went into this film hoping for more than I got. The movie was directed D. J. Caruso ( Disturbia ) , produced by Michael Bay (You think Action throughout) and a cast that starred Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand, and Callan McAuliffe . But that was pretty much it. All the action was shown during the trailer. You would think by now we would figure that out, but sometimes you are hoping for more. You have to dream. There sure were some questions I had about this film while watching it, like why in the hell would a race from outer space need to drive a car? Wouldn't they have more advanced technology than this?  Sorry I am weird, I think of shit like that when I watch a movie. Alex Pettyfer  plays John Smith or whatever his name is. It changes from town to town. He is an alien from the plant Lorien and was sent to Earth with 8 other super babies to escape The Mogadorians who destroyed hi

68th Golden Globe Awards Winners

They don't exactly carry the cache of the Oscars, but the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards were handed out last night in America, and there were good results for several films, including The Social Network (which took the drama screenplay, score, director and film awards) and The King’s Speech (a somewhat unsurprising drama actor win for Colin Firth). Ricky Gervais was the host for the evening, his second stint behind the podium for the Globes, and he started as he meant to go on, launching a torrent of gags about Charlie Sheen, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s recent financial scandals and various subjects that had the crowd alternately chuckling and jeering. Not sure if he’ll be invited back next year, but at least he made a stab at getting beyond the usual bland backslapping. And let’s face it – when you hire Gervais for a second time, and allow him to drink again, what do you really expect? But back to the awards themselves - it was a good night for The Kids Are

Glee's Heather Morris Up For Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Glee's Heather Morris Would Love The Role McKinley High’s favorite Cheerio has reportedly caught the eye of Hollywood execs – the 23-year-old actress/dancer is being considered for a theatrical reboot of “ Buffy the Vampire Slayer .” “They’re considering me!” Heather told Access, “I found out and I almost peed my pants ‘cause I was so excited!” The bubbly blonde is such a fan of the stake-wielding heroine that she doesn’t care how large her role is – as long as she gets to be involved. “If they make [‘Buffy’] when [‘Glee’] is on hiatus, I don’t even care what I do,” Heather laughed. “I can just run through the shot and do nothing – even if I’m not Buffy!” In this new reboot Buffy will no longer be in high school but instead facing the same hardships that a lot of young college graduates have today in struggling to find a paying job and a healthy relationship. Glee Picked Up For A Third Season

Glee Picked Up For A Third Season Fans of the hit musical comedy TV series Glee will be happy to hear that it has been picked up for a third season! I was hooked on the show when they showed the pilot episode at Comic Con last year and I haven't looked back. The third season was announced by Peter Rice, Chairman, Entertainment, Fox Networks Group; and Kevin Reilly, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, and here is the official press release. "In just one year, 'Glee' has transcended the television landscape and emerged as a global pop culture phenomenon," said Rice. "We are incredibly proud to have talent like Ryan Murphy and the 'Glee' cast in our Fox family, and we can't wait to see where Ryan takes the show in Seasons Two and Three." "Everything about 'Glee' - from the concept to the characters to the marketing - has been innovative and risky, but with Ryan Murphy tapping into the zeitgeist, the risk has
