The Cimmerian fighter is rebooted, .. in 3D, and… overall just absolutely awful. CONAN THE BARBARIAN has so much potential but it falls short, way short, in fact I consider this one of the worst films I’ve seen this year but I don’t blame Jason Momoa because he’s got the physique and the attitude for this role, I blame this hyborian catastrophy on the filmmakers especially poor directing by Marcus Nispel. We were unable to attend the Movies On Demand One On One with Conan's Jason Momoa so who better to ask to attend for us than our good buddy Randy from thearnoldfans . Although the Lionsgate film " Conan " does not come out until next month, I was given early access to interview two lead actors of the film at Comic Con in the press room at the Hard Rock Hotel. Although many of us believe this will not be as good as the epic Schwarzenegger version, I am optimistic that this will still be a fun film and I wish the barbaric actor of Game of Thrones and Conan , Jason Momoa , big success as an actor. On the other hand, I am very disappointed that Momoa does not know " WHAT IS BEST IN LIFE ." That's right, it turns out he has never watched the original Arnold film. What was your favourite scene or moment in the movie to film? What I trained the hardest for was this charge that we did. I fought twenty guys and then I went lopping off heads. It’s the first fight that you see of Conan. He’s coming in and he’s saving these slave girls. It’s obviously just a bunch of naked women getting whipped by guys. And I come in and save the day and take them to the nearest pub. How did you train for the role? We had about four to six weeks to get ready. It was tons of weight training and cardio. Red Sonja Film Rose McGowan Out Megan Fox In? There’s been a lot of intrigue surrounding the Robert Rodriquez-produced remake of Red Sonja, especially after its apparent lead, Rose McGowan, was cast in Conan the Barbarian, making the expected Red Sonja cameo in Conan all but impossible. This, of course, comes on the heels of a huge delay of Red Sonja, for reasons not entirely explained by Robert Rodriguez last month at SXSW. He told MTV: “If I kept the project myself, we could’ve just made it, but it belonged to another company that had financing problems,” said Rodriguez of what’s been holding up Red Sonja. “They had to wait until they made a couple of other movies first,” he explained. “They’re actually waiting until they make the Conan movie before they do that - to see how that works for them.” That is probably all very true, but it’s not the entire story, according to our insider source, The Hollywood Cog. Rose McGowan Added To The Cast Of Conan Rose McGowan has been added to the cast of the upcoming film Conan. She is set to play an evil half-human/half-witch. McGowan's casting must cause speculation over the fate of the planned Red Sonja film. After all, last we heard McGowan was set to play the lead, and since that story exists in the same universe as Conan, it's a bit odd to cast her as a very different character here. Either they're messing with Sonja's (admittedly confused) backstory, or they're giving her an evil twin, or that film's gone on the backburner or been recast. Based on the Robert E. Howard books, the film is written by Thomas Dean Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer, Sean Hood and Andrew Lobel and centers on the mythical hero driven to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village. Red Sonja Coming In 2010? Let's Hope So Rose McGowan has cleared up the air on the speculation of whether or not she is still attached to " Red Sonja ". Following her Twitter post on Wednesday, August 26 that led to speculation she may well be out from the project. "To clarify press reports: Red Sonja is delayed," the 35-year-old tweeted on Friday, August 28. "I pulled out of doing it in '09. Not permanently.Hopefully will follow Conan." She then followed it up with another tweet, writing "I am still contracted to do it Red Sonja. Hopefully Filming in '10 not '09".
