JASON MOMOA " There Will Be A Sequel To Conan The Barbarian"

HERE’S THE SECOND PART OF OUR CONAN QUESTIONS VIDEO FROM BLOGGERS, WITH NEW REVELATIONS HIGHLIGHTED BELOW.

CONAN FAN QUESTIONS - PART 2 (JASON MOMOA)

JASON MOMOA ANSWERS QUESTIONS FROM BLOG WRITERS AND READERS ABOUT THE UPCOMING FILM CONAN THE BARBARIAN.

What was your favourite scene or moment in the movie to film?

What I trained the hardest for was this charge that we did. I fought twenty guys and then I went lopping off heads. It’s the first fight that you see of Conan. He’s coming in and he’s saving these slave girls. It’s obviously just a bunch of naked women getting whipped by guys. And I come in and save the day and take them to the nearest pub.

How did you train for the role?

We had about four to six weeks to get ready. It was tons of weight training and cardio. Because we had to put mass on very quickly it was a lot of heavy weights and a pretty strict diet.

What does director Marcus Nispel bring to the film?

He’s got a beautiful, visual, aesthetic eye. And the people that he chose to create his world - from the costumes, to the set pieces - everyone was truly a fan, and he himself is truly a fan of Conan. Everyone worked and bled for this movie.

Conan is a very aggressive and physical character. Did you have to get into the ‘Conan Mindset’ before shooting?

Every morning! It’s funny, I get picked up and when I shook off all the sore and the pain. I always listen to Pantera, there’s a song called ‘Walk’ that was definitely the Conan song. A lot of old Metallica and a lot of Rage Against the Machine. That always helped.

John Millius said of the original Conan film, ‘You don’t fret a lot about subtext if you’re writing Conan the Barbarian’. Would you agree?

Maybe yes. Because he lives in the moment. He says what’s on his mind. When it needs to he said, he does say it. So, yeah I guess I would agree with that.

Do you consider Conan to be more of an anti-hero or an amoral swordsman?

I consider him the anti-hero. What I did love about him and what I enjoyed about him is that he isn’t the hero. He’s put into places where he does heroic deeds. And I do like that about him.

Did you draw on any of the Hawaiian warrior legends you grew up with when stepping into the mind and role of Conan?

Having that warrior race within me, it’s definitely something that’s maybe easier for me — it’s just one of those things I can harness and do on a whim. Also, being a father, anyone that’s a father you know what’s to live and die for. I think you can really go to those places.

There’s scope in Robert E. Howard’s stories for a sequel—would you be up for it if the opportunity came along and what would you like to see in it?

I know, absolutely I think there will be a sequel. I’m pretty positive about it. No one’s has said anything yet but I’m very positive there will be one. I mean that’s what we’re here to do — to really tell those stories because it’s a phenomenal hero and action adventure. There’s a bountiful amount of stories to tell. So I think they will definitely have two or three more.

Who’s hotter: Xena Warrior Princess or Red Sonja?

I think I’ll take both of them.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...
