Chuck Comic-Con Roundup. With Big Surprises To Come

It was an emotional panel for both Chuck creator Chris Fedak and his cast as it said goodbye to its Comic-Con fans – a group that gave them a standing ovation both at their very first panel in a small meeting room at the Con several years ago and now as they’ve been upgraded to the big room of the event, Ballroom 20.

“You guys really believed in us when we were screening a pilot no one ever heard of,” Zachary Levi, who plays the title character and teared up during a massive standing ovation for the show, remembers. “I look back at the moment and honestly it’s pretty amazing.”

Chuck’s final season moves to NBC Fridays starting on Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. The cast and crew gave us some hints as to what to expect in the season where everything changes as Morgan (Joshua Gomez) now becomes the Intersect. Fedak says he’s thankful that he knows it’s the last season and can write the series’ ending on his own terms.

Besides casting Mark Hamill as the season’s first villain, here are several things Fedak and the cast revealed about the upcoming season.

-- Chuck isn’t OK about not being the Intersect anymore, but it will force him to return to use his out-of-the-box thinking skills more.

-- Now that Chuck owns the Buy More and his own spy company, the big challenge will come in an opposing spy business and its owner may present a romantic connection for Adam Baldwin’s Casey.

-- Someone won’t survive Season 5 and it’s going to be a big loss!

-- While she’s not booked yet, Fedak can’t see the show's last season without Linda Hamilton returning as Chuck’s loving, tough, and secretive mom.

-- We will see Jeffster break up and the two will wage major war against each other. Say it ain’t so.
