BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Monsters University Review By: AprilSpice. Witty & Funny

Monsters University Review By: AprilSpice Being a said, " Disney Freak ", that ' Monster's Inc .' was one of my favorite movie's from the early 00's, and that I have 3 girls whom the eldest was nicknamed " Boo " as a toddler with her brown pigtails, and big brown eyes, I was pretty excited when I heard there was going to be a 2nd ' Monster's Inc .' movie. The dvd has been bought at least 2 or 3 times in the past 10 years being re watched many times as one of my kid's favorite for at least a month or two. When I heard that the movie was going to be a prequel I was honestly pretty disappointed. Pixar set it up so well for a sequel with Sully going back to see Boo at the end of the first. Boo was such a beloved character that I thought it was a travesty they wouldn't be bringing her back! I wanted to know what happened to her! I saw the previews for 'Monster's University' and sure they were cute but I thou

Monsters University Review. Is Enjoyable But Utterly Forgettable Fare

Monsters University Review By: MattInRC The prequel comedy Monsters University is funny, digestible, and ultimately forgettable. How is it that a comedy which first arrived in 2001 took 12 more years to make a prequel-followup? It's not uncommon, but such time distance usually wrecks havoc on audiences' memories and appreciation of the current material. In other words, absence makes the heart forget. In almost an after-thought, Monsters University arrives ready to establish a franchise that should have started years ago. The result is an enjoyable but unremarkable film that takes too long to remind us why we liked Monsters Inc in the first place. Set up as an origin story, our tale follows the rise of the one-eyed monster Mike ( Billy Crystal , When Harry Met Sally) and the furry Sully ( John Goodman , Flight) as they attend Monsters University, hoping to embark upon a professional career of scaring young sleepers. Mike is the bookworm and not a good tes

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone Review. Has Some Truly Funny Moments

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone Review By: MattInRC Does the magician turf war comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone entertain, or does it perform an early vanishing act? The flashback comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone goes far beyond telling a tale of magicians competing for Vegas glory: it's a film that could have been made 20 years ago, a fact which might put off audiences who've been trained to accept lesser quality. In our age of raunch, nudity, and an almost-anything-goes kind of approach, things have gotten a bit...well...predictable. One can only see so many nude male body parts on a screen, or be witness to yet another sexual-religious reference before those and the dozens of other low-brow employments (with only the most basic storytelling included) become boring as well. Thus it's nice to see when a film can be funny, well-cast, AND tell a decent story without needing to settle for something beneath itself. Burt Wonderstone ( Steve Car
