Spiderman Reboot To Be In 3-D It's Official Sony has confirmed the release of the Upcoming reboot of Spiderman. And oh by the way it's going to be in 3D. What a shocker, not only is it going to be a reboot but also in 3D. How original is that? CULVER CITY, Calif., February 10, 2010 – Spider-Man will swing into theaters worldwide in 3D beginning July 3, 2012, it was announced today by Jeff Blake, Chairman of Sony Pictures Worldwide Marketing & Distribution. The new film which is still untitled, will begin production later this year directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt. Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin will produce the film from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios. Joe Quesada Talks Spider-Man 4,Captain America and Deapool Movies Marvel Comics editor-in-chief and Big Apple Comic-Con guest of honor Joe Quesada hosted his very own question-and-answer panel at the New York City-based convention this past weekend. "I love doing these Q&A's," Quesada said at the panel's outset. Elizabeth Banks To Star In Next Three Days I have really enjoyed Elizabeth Banks movies from Spiderman which she played " Betty Brant " to her break out role in " 40 Year Old Virgin " and " W ". Her versatility in her roles are great. Elizabeth Banks is in final negotiations to star in "The Next Three Days" for writer-director Paul Haggis at Lionsgate . Banks will play the lead role of Laura, a woman who is imprisoned for a murder she claims she didn't commit, as her husband, the recently cast Russell Crowe , desperately tries to vindicate her. The suspense drama is a remake of the 2008 French thriller "Pour Elle," which was written and directed by Fred Cavaye . Haggis, his Highway 61 Films partner Michael Nozik and Fidelite's Marc Missonnier and Olivier Delbosc are producing. Lionsgate execs Alli Shearmur and Wolfgang Hammer are overseeing for the studio. Sony Hires Screen Writer for Spider-Man 5 & 6 Let's See if Michael Papajohn Who is an all round Good Guy and and a friend of mine, will be making an appearance in any of the new Spider Man movies. We over here at Sandwichjohnfilms can only hope so. As Sony Pictures Entertainment preps a fourth installment of "Spider-Man" to begin production early next year, the studio has quietly engaged screenwriter James Vanderbilt to pen "Spider-Man 5" and "Spider-Man 6." Vanderbilt was the first writer on "Spider-Man 4." Director Sam Raimi brought on "Rabbit Hole" playwright David Lindsay-Abaire to rewrite him, and Gary Ross is now rewriting that script. The studio is enthusiastic about where it stands as the picture begins prepping for an early 2010 production start for a May 2011 release. Raimi didn't embrace all of Vanderbilt's ideas, but execs at Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios have. Vanderbilt has been hired to pen the f
