BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

SKATE KITCHEN Red Band Trailer

In the first narrative feature from The Wolfpack director Crystal Moselle , Camille, an introverted teenage skateboarder (newcomer Rachelle Vinberg ) from Long Island, meets and befriends an all-girl, New York City-based skateboarding crew called Skate Kitchen. She falls in with the in-crowd, has a falling-out with her mother, and falls for a mysterious skateboarder guy ( Jaden Smith ), but a relationship with him proves to be trickier to navigate than a kickflip. Writer/director Crystal Moselle immersed herself in the lives of the skater girls and worked closely with them, resulting in the film's authenticity, which combines poetic, atmospheric filmmaking and hypnotic skating sequences. SKATE KITCHEN precisely captures the experience of women in male-dominated spaces and tells a story of a girl who learns the importance of camaraderie and self-discovery. Karate Kid 2 Is On It's Way

Sony Pictures has locked Breck Eisner to direct Karate Kid 2 , the sequel that will bring back Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan . Harald Zwart directed the 2010 original, which grossed $56 million on its opening weekend and ended with $343 million worldwide. Eisner, most recently directed the gritty horror film The Crazies . It is an important film for the studio that has placed a premium in the care and feeding of franchises with global appeal. The original 1984 Karate Kid is a beloved film, but let’s face it, that crane deal at the end would never have worked, and this kid is way more believable as a martial artist. Trailer For M Night Shyamalan’s "After Earth"

It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything of M Night Shyamalan’s latest, After Earth , which boasts a double dose of the Will Smith-spawned family. The film is set a thousand years after humanity has abandoned the planet, following years of pollution, over-mining and generally abusing mother Earth. Given how bad Earth-that-was became, Nova Prime is now our species’ new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige ( Will Smith ) returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai ( Jaden Smith ). When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai's craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies badly injured in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. His whole life, Kitai has wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. Today, he gets his chance… Watch the trailer after the Jump...  Earth has since begun to recover from th

Will & Jaden Smith To Star In M. Night Shyamalan Film

Jaden Smith is set to star opposite his father, Will Smith , for director M. Night Shyamalan in an untitled sci-fi adventure, Doug Belgrad, president of Columbia Pictures, announced Monday. Set 1,000 years into the future, the movie centers on a young boy who navigates an abandoned and sometimes scary Earth to save himself and his estranged father after their ship crashes. Shyamalan and Will Smith will produce with James Lassiter, Jada Pinkett Smith and Ken Stovitz, Smith’s partners at Overbrook Entertainment. The screenplay is by M. Night Shyamalan and Gary Whitta. “Night is an outstanding filmmaker who has a tremendous vision for this science-fiction adventure story and we couldn't be more excited to be working again with Jaden after our experiences on The Pursuit of Happyness and The Karate Kid,” Belgrad said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to have the two of them together on this project.” Added Shyamalan, "The chance to make a scary, science-fiction film starrin

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Movie Review By: Isla & Cre

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Movie Review By: Isla & Cre There was no way in Hell I was going to see or even review this movie. So today we have guest reviewers for this film. Welcome Isla and Cre two 30 something young ladies that went out and saw this movie. Brave ladies. And here is what they thought of the film. First and foremost, everyone needs to set their preconceived notions about Justin Bieber and all the craze aside and give " Never say Never " a chance. With all the young singers out there today not setting the best example for our kids "their fans" this is a must see movie. The mastermind behind the movie is a genius. This is going to skyrocket his already bustling career! I predict an epic story for this young man suitable to be compared with some great artists like MJ and the Beatles . Honest! This documentary of his life gave us an inside look at a young man that is honest, humble, pure, loving and real! It brought tears to my eyes w

The Karate Kid Action Trailer

The Karate Kid Full Trailer Or Should It Be Kung Fu Kid

The Karate Kid Full Trailer Or Should It Be Kung Fu Kid I don't care how high the movie scores it will never compare to the original film. But from the full trailer doesn't look half bad. Generation Xers may have bemoaned the redo of their 1984 childhood favorite The Karate Kid (I know I did) with none other than silver spooner Jaden Smith taking on the Ralph Macchio role. But, perhaps the results from Sony’s early test screening of the movie from director Harold Zwart (The Pink Panther) will win converts to rejiggering Mr. Miyagi’s karate-lessons-hidden-in-manual labor. (Jackie Chan takes on the Wax on, Wax off mentor role.) Pay attention to the last scene, Remember the song. Gotta love that one. Official Synopsis: In Columbia Pictures' The Karate Kid, 12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) could've been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's (Taraji P. Henson) latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying -

Karate Kid Remake Scores Huge On Test Screening

Karate Kid Remake Scores Huge On Test Screening I don't care how high the movie scores it will never compare to the original film. The studio tells EW that the film scored just below Sony’s highest research screening ever, 2005’s Hitch, which ironically starred Jaden Smith’s dad Will, the last reigning movie star. With positive scores in the 97th percentile, the movie, which doesn’t open until June 11, might be one of those films that outdoes everyone’s expectations. Not that it’s likely to match Hitch’s gross, but that film did earn close to $

The Karate Kid Trailer

The Karate Kid Trailer I was hoping that the movie and trailer would just be really bad. I am a huge Fan of the original film and was hoping this film would look horrible so that no one would waste a dime to go see the film when it hits theaters. But from what they showed on the trailer it doesn't look half bad. Not saying that I would go to see the film during the first weekend, but maybe when it hits the dollar theaters. I may take a chance on it. Sherry is offered a transfer to China. Considering the U.S office is about to lay off everyone, it’s really her only choice; especially since nobody else at the office has been offered a transfer. With her young son Dre (Jaden Smith) in tow, the single-mother makes Beijing her new home. Needless to say, not knowing Chinese, and experiencing a bit of culture shock, they both find it a little hard to settle in – – Dre especially. Like Daniel Larusso in the original film, Dre (who, unlike Larusso, is a skateboarding video-game buff) imme
