Producers Ask Fans To Stop Leaking Photos From Breaking Dawn

Seen those leaked images from the fourth installment of the Twilight franchise? Apparently lots of people have, including the makers of the film. Shots of stars Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson in bed (not the pic to the left) were tweeted to the world. Summit shut down the original source but the racy images are still bouncing around online, prompting the studio and creative team to reach out directly to fans.

Want to see more Images and video check head over HERE.

This afternoon, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon, producer Wyck Godfrey and Summit released the following statement:

As some of you may know, pictures and screen grabs of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn as a work in progress have leaked on the internet. We are extremely proud of this film and also extremely heartbroken to see it out there at this stage.

The film and these images are not yet ready or in their proper context. They were illegally obtained and their early dissemination is deeply upsetting to the actors, the filmmakers and Summit who are working so hard to bring these movies to fruition to you in November 2011 and November 2012.

Please, for those who are posting, stop. And please, though the temptation is high, don’t view or pass on these images. Wait for the film in its beautiful, finished entirety to thrill you.

As we reported, intimate screenshots of the last Twilight film also leaked in advance of its release. Summit at the time sent cease and desist letters to some of the websites that posted the images but no lawsuits were filed (UPDATE: Commenters are correct; at least one suit was filed and settled).

This time around, Summit insiders tell us they are not pointing their finger at any particular website, and they currently don't have any plans to sue. But that could change, especially if the studio identifies the invidividual responsible for the leak.

Todd McFarlane Talks About Possible New Spawn Film

We reported bay in November that Spawn creator Todd McFarlane was going to bring back an animated series to TV. But today mydvdinsider brings us news that the script for a new spawn movie is three quarters finished.

Back in 1997 Todd McFarlane's Spawn was released into theaters. The movie starred Michael Jai White as Al Simmons/Spawn, John Leguizamo as Al's demonic guide and antagonist Clown/The Violator, Melinda Clarke as the assassin Jessica Priest, Nicol Williamson as Al's mentor Cogliostro, Theresa Randle as Al's widow Wanda Blake, D. B. Sweeney as Wanda's husband Terry Fitzgerald, Martin Sheen as Al's former government employer Jason Wynn, and voice actor Frank Welker as the voice of Malebolgia.

We heard there might be another Spawn film in the works. The comic book series you launched in 1992 is still popular today. (Spawn #200 debuted in January.) But the 1997 movie was modestly received. Its star, Michael Jai White, thought the film wasn’t dark enough. Do you agree?

“That’d be correct. The first Spawn was an action PG-13 movie. You can also argue that it was ahead of its time. Look at all the comic book movies out now. That wasn’t the fad back then. We probably should’ve held off a little bit longer. But New Line still did okay. I think it was their No. 1 movie that year.

Read more after the Jump...

“I remember the head of New Line sitting me down on Monday or Tuesday after the movie opened and saying, “the data showed that 85% of the audience was 14 or older.” I never forgot the stat because I kept thinking, next time we can go to an R-rating. By then that 14-year-old will be able to get into an R-rated movie without adult supervision. Now since it’s obviously been a lot longer than a couple of years and that 14-year-old is now 27 or 28. I think they’re looking for some cool, serious, dark, creepy version of this thing.

“There are a lot of people who think what we did on HBO [with the animated series Spawn] was way cooler because it was intentionally R-rated.

Is there a finished script?

“I’m three quarters through it. I’ll finish it and put it on a shelf for about a week. What usually happens is, I come back to it so I can see all the flaws. I do a rewrite and there’s a first draft at that point. Then I’ll start soliciting comments from people I trust to see if I can get the script into working shape. If I can’t, I’m open to someone coming in and helping me with it.

“[A few studios have phoned me to talk about the project] and when I walk into these pitch meetings, I go here’s the story. I give them the broad strokes. Then I go, here’s the non-negotiable part: I write, produce, direct. That’s it.

There’s only one way a studio is going to say yes, that’s if it’s a low-budget movie. To be honest, as a producer, even I wouldn’t hire myself to direct a big-budget film. There are smarter people out there. But if you’re making it for $10 million to $12 million, you’re just going to go get some schmuck director so let me be the schmuck.”

“In this new version, there are no supervillains, archenemies or any of that. It’s just a spook movie, something scary going bump in the night. I think I can shoot that for almost next to nothing.”

Leonard Nimoy To Voice Sentinel Prime In Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Here is some news that should make Transformers: Dark of the Moon live long and prosper in the hearts of sci-fi fans.

Mr. Spock himself, Leonard Nimoy, has joined the film as the voice of Sentinel Prime, the predecessor of Optimus Prime whose wrecked body is seen in the teaser trailer, found crash-landed on the moon by the Apollo 11 astronauts in 1969. Later, after being brought to earth, he takes the disguise form of a fire engine in the movie’s massive, climactic battle through Chicago.

Apart from his obvious Star Trek cred, Nimoy also has a history with Hasbro’s shape-shifting alien robots: He was the voice of Galvatron in 1986′s The Transformers: The Movie.

Transformers filmmaker Michael Bay had toyed with the idea of inviting him to play a voice in the second movie, Revenge of the Fallen, but wasn’t sure he could pay the veteran actor enough. “I was too scared to ask him,” the director says. “Plus, he’s married to Susan Bay, who’s a cousin of mine. So I had to be careful. I’ve met him at family functions. But he told me, ‘I would be honored. I’m glad to be back!’”

Bay has been open about changing course with this third Transformers movie and making a stronger story than the critically pulverized last one. He says part of that is giving the metallic characters a bit more soul, even if they’re villains. “The robots have more character in this movie. Much more. You really understand their struggle, on both sides actually,” Bay says.

The 3-D Transformers: Dark of the Moon opens July 1.

By Virtue Fall Starring Carla Gugino & Eric Bana

James Spader, Carla Gugino, Ryan Phillippe, Treat Williams and Kim Coates have joined the cast of Sheldon Turner's By Virtue Fall. Eric Bana is already attached to play one of the two leads.

Turner, who most recently co-wrote the Oscar-nominated Up in the Air screenplay, has been working to pull together his directorial debut for months, with several lead actors, including Colin Farrell and Jeremy Renner, in various talks to take the other lead. While Farrell has moved on to Columbia's Total Recall remake, Renner is still a possibility, though his immediate schedule already contains Paramount's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and Marvel Studios' The Avengers.

The Hurt Locker producer Voltage Pictures was once on board to finance By Virtue Fall, but now QED International (District 9, W.) looks to be handling foreign sales and putting up at least part of the money for production.

Turner's script tells the story of a pair of ATF agents who end up enemies after one frames the other for a crime. The writer-director is producing with Jennifer Klein.

Bana has an opening in his schedule after he finishes shooting the 2929 Entertainment crime thriller Blackbird.

Spader has spent much of the last decade on TV, in The Practice and Boston Legal, though he appeared in the feature Shorts in 2009.

Gugino most recently appeared in Sucker Punch, Faster and Elektra Luxx. She has the Fox comedy Mr. Popper's Penguins coming to theaters in June.

Phillippe most recently appeared in The Lincoln Lawyer, The Bang Bang Club and MacGruber.

Coates recently appeared in Resident Evil: Afterlife, and he's a regular on the FX series Sons of Anarchy.

Exclusive Interview With Sebastian Gutierrez Part Two

Today we continue my Exclusive interview with director Sebastian Gutierrez. Gutierrez has directed ELEKTRA LUXX and Girl Walks Into a Bar. He is also, the screenwriter for such films as The Big Bounce, The Eye, Snakes on a Plane and the above mentioned films.

If you missed part one of my interview with the director fear not, you can read it HERE.

So let's get it started..

Girls Walk Into a Bar,(Click link to watch the film)  Touted as the “First Major Motion Picture Made For The Internet,” and I asked the director why are we distributing this film on the internet and not seeing it in theaters?

The quickest answer is why not? The real answer is the producers approached me and said hey that they have seen ELEKTRA LUXX and you make these movies with an amazing cast and they are very inexpensively and them seem to be structured like Woman In Trouble that was like a 10 part structured film, and would you be interested in doing that for the internet and giving the movie away for free? And to me the idea sounded so goofy that I thought yeah its a great forum, because I would like to prove you don't just have to have a video camera pointed at a person who is funny doing skits on the internet. That you could actually make something with production value, actors and steady cams and have that be something that you split in chunks, just like TV did fifty years ago a sponsor could come aboard and give them a little 50 second clip and that would pay for the movie.

This idea for distribution for an independent film, right now is at a wholesale right now really as we know that marketing and distribution so expensive right now, so studios right now have to justify in making a movie they have to make the most main stream movie, that would appeal to the most people to justify their investment, and that the 30,40,50 million in marketing and movie. It would be so cool if we could figure out a parallel, you know studio type of system that is not competing with Hollywood where you can make the kind of movie that Hollywood can not afford to make right now.

Cause what I find very encouraging always is that I am a movie goer, but Hollywood right now is set up to make certain particular genres, you know I don't have the choice of cool neo black and white film noir or three different westerns, but these movie audience like so if you can figure out how to make them so that they are not loosing movie to the studios, and you could actually show the whole world the movie in that forum like with Youtube, Netflixs or iTunes I find that very exciting.

Also I think that the internet before was do you really want to watch a movie on such a small device, and thats not true anymore. With streaming you can just stream a movie to you television and watch it and it looks beautiful.

I put out a huge curve ball with my next question. I asked Sebastian about turning down films. Either writing or directing. I tried my hardest to get some of the titles he turned down. But my man was solid as a rock.

Of course. Oh if I told you that would be so bad, I would look so bad.(both of us laughing) In Hollywood ultimately it goes more for actors but you are known less for what u did then for what you turned down. It's the only power you truly have. I certainly have turned down films, I have written alot of horror movies and I really like horror movies. But I have turned down things that I thought were just like really unredeemable or just for the shock value. Does the planet really need this? NO and should it come from me. I don't know if I could look at my kids and say "Hey this is the movie I wrote" so I have turned down things like that. So not to be so bleeding heart about it. But yes I have turned down films.

Are you working on anything new right now?

I can't really talk about anything, mostly out of superstition. I don't want to put the energy out there until it's a done deal.

You basically made a Hollywood dream come true. A young man from Venezuela who makes it big time in Hollywood. Your a screenwriter and director making movies that you want to make. As a kid did you always dream about coming and making it in Hollywood?

That's a great question I haven't been asked that before. I don't think I ever imaged that fully in Venezuela and have that manifest itself. When you grown up in many countries but certainly growing up in Venezuela, Hollywood is only a dream. The thought of going to Hollywood to make movies is you know it, mind as well said I going to build a time machine, go to the center of the earth and then to Mars.

From a very early age I was only interested in movies. I at first thought I wanted to be in movies, until I realized that wait a minute somebody has to write these things for Harrison Ford to be saying and somebody has to direct it. So that became much more appealing to try and create the thing.

The real answer is No.I never imaged it and I think at the risk of sounding really corny, I think that anytime that you can do what you love to do and what you would do for free, but your getting paid for it you have really succeeded.

I do feel very grateful and fortunate and I really don't take it for granted. Cause I have had real jobs for a long time. So I don't take making movies which is basically getting paid to play for granted. I love movies and they are magical to me.

And that's all folks.

Sebastian Gutierrez is one of the nicest and coolest guys I have ever talked to in Hollywood. And I wish him nothing but the best in the future.

We all remember the first images we saw of Adrianne Palicki in the new Wonder Woman costume. Looks like enough fans cried and screamed that they did a redesign on her outfit. NBC took some of the criticisms to heart. I could care less, A sexy woman is a sexy woman in either outfit.

SYNOPSIS: X-MEN: FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

The film stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Oliver Platt, and Kevin Bacon. Matthew Vaughn (“Kick-Ass”) directs, and the producers are Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg and Bryan Singer. Singer, who helmed the acclaimed blockbusters “X-Men” and “X2,” wrote the story for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS.
