BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

The Lost City of Z Comes To Amazon PRIME September 15th

Based on author David Grann’s nonfiction bestseller, THE LOST CITY OF Z tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett ( Charlie Hunnam ), who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment who regard indigenous populations as “savages,” the determined Fawcett – supported by his devoted wife ( Sienna Miller ), son ( Tom Holland ) and aide-de-camp ( Robert Pattinson ) – returns time and again to his beloved jungle in an attempt to prove his case, culminating in his mysterious disappearance in 1925. An epically scaled tale of courage and obsession, told in James Gray’s classic filmmaking style, THE LOST CITY OF Z is a stirring tribute to the exploratory spirit and those individuals driven to achieve greatness at any cost. Movie Review: #TheLostCityofZ

The beauty of The Lost City of Z is also an engrossing and cautious tale of obsession. Review by Matt Cummings One of the joys I get as a reviewer is to watch films that I otherwise would not have the time to experience as an average moviegoer. Like you, such films would have resided on a wish list, with some eventually finding their way into a DVR to be picked up months afterward. Seeing as many films as I do is many times a gamble that fails to pay off, but with The Lost City of Z it's a stirring reminder of why I signed up for this job. Col. Percival Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam) is a strong-willed and dedicated British Army officer who's sought to change his family's fortunes after his father's scandalous suicide. Even though he makes short work of a beast during a hunt, Fawcett won't be invited to the dinner table because, as one adviser puts it, “He's been rather unfortunate in his choice of ancestors.” But his luck is about to change, having b

The Fate Of The Furious Kills It At The Box Office

Every time a new entry in the increasingly physics-free Fast & Furious movie series arrives, there are those who ask why "they" keep making "these things". The fact that the latest – the eighth – just made $100.1 million at the American box office alone in its first weekend – might provide some sort of answer. The studio estimates put Fast & Furious 8 (or The Fate Of The Furious , as it is known in the US), on a healthy path to another big box office win for the franchise. And with more than $432 million earned elsewhere in just this opening weekend salvo for a $532.4 million start globally, you really don't have to wonder why they are viewing this one as the kick-off to a new trilogy within the long-running set of movies. As for the rest of Hollywood, they have long since learned to get out of the way of Dom Toretto, Luke Hobbs and the rest, and there were no other wide releases in the US this weekend. The other movies arriving were limited to the
