#ScottEastwood To Star In Overdrive

Taken' director Pierre Morel will produce the project to be shopped at the Toronto Film Festival. Overdrive is getting back in gear. According to THR Scott Eastwood will star in Overdrive , an action project being produced by Taken director Pierre Morel and Christopher Tuffin. The story centers on two car thieves, brothers, who journey to the south of France for new opportunities and wind up in the crosshairs of the local crime boss. Michael Brandt and Derek Haas wrote the script and are also producing. Antonio Negret, who helmed the Jim Caviezel action flick Transit, is directing. Sentient Entertainment's Renee Tab is executive producer. The project has been around since at least 2011 and has gone through a couple of iterations. At one point, Alex Pettyfer and Matthew Goode were attached, while another version saw Jamie Bell and Garrett Hedlund. Eastwood, the son of Clint Eastwood, is emerging into his own as an actor.
