Show Will Return

Cartoon Network's "Young Justice"will premiere on Jan. 7. The show about DC Comics sidekicks launched with a movie event in November. Look for new episodes to air Fridays at 7PM.

On November 26, 2010, the Young Justice animated television series pilot aired on Cartoon Network, featuring teenaged superhero sidekicks who are members of a fictional covert operation team under the authority of the Justice League called Young Justice. The season will officially continue in January 2011. Despite its title, the show is not an adaptation of the Young Justice series of comics, but rather, an adaptation of the entire DC Universe with a focus on young superheroes.
(not an adaptation of solely one or the other), drawing influences from the 1960s Teen Titans run and the 1990s Young Justice run, in addition to the recent Teen Titans and Young Justice comics. The line-up reflects the variety of sources on which the show is based: Superboy, Dick Grayson as Robin, Wally West as Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Artemis, and an entirely new character as Aqualad.

Korean Posters For The Green Hornet

4 New Korean Posters 

If the idea of Seth Rogen as a superhero still sounds a little goofy to you, and the recent clips didn't win you over, then maybe these four new posters will change your mind.

You won't be seeing any posters exactly like this in your local theater, as they were created for a Korean marketing campaign, but they do manage to make Rogen look more like a hero than the star of a slacker comedy. Which should give us all hope.

The Green Hornet, directed by Michel Gondry, will hit theaters Jan. 14, 2011.

Synopsis:

Shia LaBeouf Flying Around Pinkville

Stone & LaBeouf To Reunite For The Movie

Director Oliver Stone revealed in his commentary track on the Blu-ray release of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps that he and that film's young lead, Shia LaBeouf, have discussed reuniting for Pinkville, a Vietnam War investigative drama about the My Lai massacre of March 1968.

Stone said that he and LaBeouf discussed reteaming for Pinkville while they were making the Wall Street sequel. According to the helmer, LaBeouf is interesting in exploring the subject matter because his father was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam.

Pinkville was set to begin filming in Southeast Asia in December 2007, but was shelved at the 11th hour due to the then-impending Writers Guild strike. Stone had assembled a cast that included Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum, Michael Pena, Woody Harrelson, Xzibit, Michael Pitt, Toby Jones, Jason Behr and Cam Gigandet.

Given his age and his dad's role in the war, it seems likely that LaBeouf would want to play Hugh Thompson, the role Tatum was initially set to play. Thompson was the U.S. Army helicopter pilot who stopped the massacre -- where G.I.s cut down as many as 500 My Lai villagers, many of them unarmed women, children and the elderly -- by placing his chopper between the soldiers and the surviving villagers.

10 Hottest Women Of 2010

Do You Agree?

With all these 10 list coming out before the New Years, SandwichJohn has made a list of the Top 10 Sexy ladies of 2010. Some surprise YES, but again it's my list with a little help from UGO. I know its alittle sexist but if any ladies would like to send me their 10 Hottest men list I would gladly add it to the site.

So Let's get this list going after the Jump..

10. Kristen Stewart
So Kristen Stewart basically never has to work again, right? After landing the plum role of Bella Swan in the Twilight series, the LA-born actress could retire and sleep on a bed of money. Thankfully, she's not, so 2010 let us see her as Joan Jett in the uneven but compelling The Runaways, where she brought a little snarl to her act with excellent results. The future sees her delving even farther back into the counterculture past with a role in the adaptation of the Jack Kerouac beatnik classic On The Road.

9. Kelly Brook
Is it just me or did England produce an inordinate amount of hotness this generation? We've already hit upon a few British beauties in this list, and here's another. Kelly Brook was all over the Net this year, both in the gore-filled Piranha 3D and on the page in Playboy, and her career is just getting started. Which is good, because I like to look at hot chicks. All day.

8. Olivia Munn
Olivia Munn finished off her year with a pretty important role in the Spike TV Video Game Awards. Besides that her spot on Attack of the Show! has kept her at the forefront of many a geek heart.

7. Megan Fox

Okay, so Megan Fox didn't have the best year, career-wise - Jonah Hex was a flop (although I'm curious to see all the stuff Neveldine & Taylor had to cut out) and we haven't seen a whiff of Passion Play, her drama with Mickey Rourke. Plus she got married to David Silver from 90210. And yet, here she is on our Goddamned list, almost like a malevolent force from beyond the stars forced us to put her here. That force is called a boner.demonstrated as yet unrevealed comic chops.

6. Sofia Vergara

Let's transition to a TV mom who we like a lot better - the insanely foxy Sofia Vergara from Modern Family. Dude, after so many years of Married With Children, Ed O'Neill finally gets to land a hottie, and Vergara's nice looks and great comic timing are one of the elements that make that show so good. Sofia started acting at 17 and worked her way up through small parts in movies like Soul Plane, and she's at the top of her game right now

5. Eva Mendes

Eva Mendes had a pretty good 2010, but when you look like Eva Mendes I'd assume you'd have a pretty good year every year. The Cuban-American actress ended '09 on a crazy note with a role in Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans opposite Nicolas Cage, but rebounded hard with The Other Guys, by far the funniest buddy cop parody of the year (sorry, Kevin Smith). Playing Will Ferrell's way-too-hot wife, she 4. demonstrated as yet unrevealed comic chops.

4. Zoe Saldana

It would be hard for Zoe Saldana to top her 2009 - after all, with Avatar, she was part of the most money-making movie of all time. But she managed to carry on pretty well in the 2K10 with a role in the fun actioner The Losers where she got to show some more ass-kicking grit, as well as the remarkably good remake of Death At A Funeral. Moving on to 2011, she's set for the next Star Trek movie as well as both Avatar sequels, meaning a lot of space time.

3. Emma Watson

Okay, I have to say that the myriad Emma Watson countdown clocks all over the Internet ticking down the seconds until the Harry Potter star became legal were... a little creepy. But, now that she's officially a young woman (and not jailbait), truth be told she's quite a looker. Especially with her new short hair. She's earned more than $20 million from the Potter films, so she never has to work again, but one hopes she'll continue to act in the future.

2. Marisa Miller

You know what, I could make all kinds of excuses for why I picked Victoria's Secret model Marisa Miller to top off this list, but you know what? I don't need any. She's an incredibly hot chick and you just looked at 49 other incredibly hot chicks and if you can make distinctions between their levels of hotness, I encourage you to do so in the comments. For me, it's like picking my favorite star out of the sky. They all twinkle and they're too far away for me to ever touch them, even if they didn't have restraining orders.

1. Anne Hathaway
Hathaway's 2010 film projects include a Tim Burton-directed adaptation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass alongside Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp, the romantic comedy The Fiancé,an adaptation of the Julie Buxbaum novel The Opposite of Love, the Garry Marshall-directed ensemble comedy Valentine's Day, and an adaptation of Gerald Clarke's biography Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland, in which she will play the title role on the stage and screen. On November 29, 2010, it was announced that Hathaway and James Franco would host the 83rd Academy Awards.

2010 Best Wrestling Moments

Wrestling Just Ain't The Same

As 2011 quickly approaches, it's time to reflect on the 10 biggest pro wrestling stories of 2010.

1. Shawn Michaels retires: His body battered after 26 years inside the ring, Michaels decided to call it a career. But before leaving World Wrestling Entertainment, the 45-year-old Michaels turned in one final performance worth remembering: a fabulous headline bout last April against The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26. Unlike Ric Flair, another grappling legend who resurfaced in 2010, Michaels actually seems committed to staying out of action. Michaels could return as a guest referee for Wrestlemania 27 provided The Undertaker is able to wrestle following recent rotator cuff surgery.

2. The short-lived Monday night "war": So much for TNA Wrestling recapturing the magic of the mid-1990s, when World Championship Wrestling and WWE battled for television ratings supremacy. After a January special drew surprisingly strong numbers on Spike TV opposite USA Network's Monday Night Raw, TNA shifted its Thursday night Impact shows in March, hoping to provide WWE with full-time opposition. This became a bigger slaughter than the Hart family demolishing Vince McMahon at Wrestlemania 26. TNA ratings fell despite an influx of former WWE talent like Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam. The experiment lasted about two months before Impact retreated to Thursday nights, where ratings are roughly the same as before TNA owner Dixie Carter went on her ill-advised spending spree.

3. WWE begins a youth movement in earnest: At this time last year, Wade Barrett and Alberto Del Rio were working for Florida Championship Wrestling as WWE developmental talent. Both enter 2011 as headliners for WWE's Raw and Smackdown brands, respectively. Barrett and other newcomers -- such as David Otunga, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater -- were successfully packaged as The Nexus, a group of outsiders who began running roughshod over WWE's established talent. Mike "The Miz" Mizanin and Jack Swagger also enjoyed their first stints as WWE champions. Creating new stars was a necessity with veterans like Michaels, The Undertaker, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, Chris Jericho and Dave Batista either injured or having left the company.

4. The trials and travails of Extreme Championship Wrestling: No company in pro wrestling history had as many lives as ECW. But this cat finally ran out of luck in 2010. WWE canceled the ECW brand in February to push a revamped show for developmental talent (WWE NXT). That didn't stop TNA from invoking the ECW spirit. TNA hired a slew of ECW talent from the promotion's 1990s heyday -- notably Tommy Dreamer, Scott "Raven" Levy and Terry "Sabu" Brunk -- to form a group called EV2. But after an ECW-themed August pay-per-view show (Hardcore Justice), most of those grapplers were phased out. If the ECW nostalgia ever resurfaces, it will likely be on the independent circuit.

5. Linda McMahon loses her bid to become a U.S. senator: The former WWE CEO and wife of chairman Vince McMahon spent $50 million of her personal fortunate campaigning as the Republican nominee in Connecticut. Call it money for nothing. McMahon fell to Democrat Richard Blumenthal. McMahon's wrestling background was a turn-off for many of the state's voters, especially among women.

6. WWE continues living up to its name: WWE is drawing better crowds for international tours than shows in North America, with Mexico and Europe particularly strong markets. WWE also made its debut in China, which could become a huge source of revenue, and will begin airing again in Russia in February. Such expansion is helping to compensate for domestic woes. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that pay-per-view buy rates in the U.S. were down almost 20 percent from 2009.

7. WWE Smackdown shifts from MyNetworkTV to Syfy Network: The demise of WWE's "B" brand continued with Smackdown leaving the broadcast television airwaves in October for basic cable. WWE didn't have a choice with MyNetwork streaking toward irrelevance. But it wasn't as if other broadcast networks were frantically bidding for the product, either. The first 12 Friday-night Syfy shows have averaged 2.6 million viewers, down from the 2010 MyNetwork ratings. WWE, though, remains committed to Smackdown and is trying to better cross-promote through its more successful Raw brand.

8. Ring of Honor keeps rolling: Following in the footsteps of Daniel Bryan, Tyler Black (aka Seth Rollins) became the latest ROH star raided by WWE. But the Philadelphia-based company is still staying strong with the industry's best technical wrestling and most logical storylines on its weekly telecasts (8 p.m. Mondays, HDNet). Young workers like Kevin Steen, El Generico, Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong continued to improve. The company also received a boost from the addition of former WWE and TNA talents Christopher Daniels, Nelson "Homicide" Erazo, and the World's Greatest Tag-Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin).

9. Hulk Hogan's personal and professional spiral: His TNA debut was a bust. His surgically repaired back is a mess. Even his wedding was ruined by a confrontation with an uninvited photographer. In some ways, the 57-year-old Hogan has become a real-life version of washed-up grappler Randy "The Ram" Robinson from the award-winning 2008 movie, "The Wrestler."

10. Wrestler deaths: Unfortunately, drug abuse contributed to the premature deaths of two more ex-WWE performers: Lance Cade, 29, and Luna Vachon, 48. Another former WWE grappler, Chris Kanyon, 40, committed suicide. The wrestling world also lost some of its most legendary performers from yesteryear in Jack Brisco, John Tolos, Edouard Carpentier, "King" Curtis Iaukea and Gene Kiniski.

The Beauty of Pixar Video

Just Amazing

This video compilation was created by video editor Leandro Copperfield who spent 11 days at Pixar Animation Studios re-watching all of their feature films. He then selected more than 500 scenes, and edited them together creating this 7-minute tribute video called The Beauty of Pixar.

Editor says:

Pixar’s films have always been very important in my life. I was 6 years old when I watched Toy Story the first time, and his films made my childhood more happy. So this video is a personal tribute for, in my opinion, the best animation studio of all time.

Let's hope Disney doesn't take this down. I suggest you take a look at it before it's gone.

The Green Lantern Tomar-Re Image

Piranha Man?

CBM bring us a new character image from the upcoming film, The Green Lantern. The out of this world guys name is Tomar-Re. In the trailer for the film you can catch a glimpse of alien Green Lantern Corps.

Still not sure of this movie. I know a few people that are getting so pumped for this film, but the trailer just didn't do it for me. Don't get me wrong I am a Ryan Reynold fan, yes I admit it he is pretty sexy.

Tomar was a scientist on the planet Xudar before joining the Green Lantern Corps. He became a pivotal member of the Corps, training new members, like Arisia, and serving in the Honor Guard. He investigated reports of abuses of power by Sinestro on Korugar. He was close friends with Abin Sur, Green Lantern of neighboring sector 2814. He was also the first Lantern to meet Sur’s replacement, Hal Jordan, and the two got along equally well. In the Post-Crisis timeline, that friendship is deepened further in that the rookie Jordan met him soon after being recruited. Jordan was brought to him by his power ring to help with his difficulties with handling the weapon and Tomar-Re not only guided the Terran to GLC headquarters for the optional training program, but also provided valuable emotional support during this difficult time.

SandwichJohn's Top Ten Films Of 2010

Let's Agree To Disagree

With the end of 2010 right around the corner, SandwichJohn thought why not come out with my first Top Ten list for the Films of 2010. Now remember I haven't seen all the films that came out this year or most of the new releases. I have a family and a real life other than the site. So this is my Top Ten list. I'm for sure there are a few films you will disagree on and I haven't seen The Fighter, Black Swan or even True Grit, so they are not on my list.

It makes life funner to stir shit up sometimes.

With out further ado here is my list and enjoy the trailers.

10. Knight & Day

I know I am a Tom Cruise Homer, but I actually really enjoyed this movie. Knight and Day follows the adventures of Roy Miller (Tom Cruise), a spy on the run, and June Havens (Cameron Diaz), a car restorer. We see Miller watching Havens, and he bumps into her a couple of times as they go through security at Wichita Airport. Havens is making her way back home to Boston from Wichita after picking up spare parts for her deceased father's classic GTO car, which she is restoring for her sister as a wedding gift. Even though she has a confirmed reservation for her flight, she is told at the gate that it is overbooked. Miller, able to board, whispers to her that she is better off taking the next flight. Unbeknownst to Havens, FBI Special Agent Fitzgerald (Peter Saarsgard) is monitoring Miller's movements and, believing she is working with Miller, puts her back on the flight list.

9. Red

Red is an American action-comedy film loosely inspired by the three-issue comic book series of the same name created by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner, and published by the DC Comics imprint Homage. The film stars Bruce Willis with Robert Schwentke directing a screenplay by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber. The film was released on October 15, 2010.

In the film version, the title of the film, "Red", is derived from the stamp on agent Frank Moses' (Bruce Willis) file, meaning "retired, extremely dangerous"

8. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

The story is set in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera), the bass guitarist for the band "Sex Bob-omb", begins dating high schooler Knives Chau (Ellen Wong) despite the protests of his friends and bandmates. He later meets a mysterious American girl, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), and falls in love with her, losing interest in Knives. While playing in a battle of the bands to win a record contract with the label G-Man Graves, Scott is attacked by Matthew Patel (Satya Bhabha), who introduces himself as the first of Ramona's evil exes. Scott defeats Patel and learns from Ramona that, in order for them to date, he must defeat all seven of her evil exes, who have joined forces to destroy Scott and control Ramona's love life.

7. Let Me In

Let Me In is a 2010 American drama/horror film directed by Matt Reeves. It is based on the 2008 Swedish film Let the Right One In (Låt den rätte komma in), directed by Tomas Alfredson, and the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist. It tells the story of a bullied 12-year-old boy who develops a friendship with a vampire child in a New Mexico town in the early 1980s.

6. How To Train Your Dragon

How to Train Your Dragon is an animated fantasy film by DreamWorks Animation very loosely based on the 2003 book of the same name. The film stars the voices of Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, Craig Ferguson, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, T.J. Miller, Kristen Wiig, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

The story takes place in a mythical Viking world where a young Viking teenager named Hiccup aspires to follow his tribe's tradition of becoming a dragon slayer. After finally capturing his first dragon, and with his chance at finally gaining the tribe's acceptance, he finds that he no longer has the desire to kill it and instead befriends it. The film was released March 26, 2010

5. The Town

Four lifelong friends—Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck), James "Jem" Coughlin (Jeremy Renner), Albert "Gloansy" Magloan (Slaine), and Desmond "Dez" Elden (Owen Burke), from the dangerous streets of Charlestown, a neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts—rob a Cambridge bank, taking bank manager Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall) hostage. After Claire's release, Doug follows her and they begin a relationship.

4. Kick-Ass

Kick-Ass is a superhero/action-comedy film based on the comic book of the same name by Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr. The film was directed by Matthew Vaughn, who co-produced the film with actor Brad Pitt, and co-wrote the screenplay with Jane Goldman. The film's general release was on 16 April 2010.

The film tells the story of an ordinary teenager, Dave, who sets out to become a real-life superhero, calling himself "Kick-Ass". Dave gets caught up in a bigger fight when he meets Big Daddy, a former cop who, in his quest to bring down the drug lord Frank D'Amico, has trained his 11-year-old daughter to be the ruthless vigilante Hit-Girl.

3. The Social Network

THE SOCIAL NETWORK is a story about the founders of the social-networking website, Facebook. The screenplay is written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher, and stars Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg, Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker, Brenda Song as Priscilla Chan, Denise Grayson as Gretchen, Andrew Garfield as Eduardo Saverin, Rooney Mara as Erica, Armie Hammer as Cameron Winklevoss, Josh Pence as Tyler Winklevoss, Max Minghella as Martin Turner, Dakota Johnson as Leslie Brown, Joseph Mazzello as Dustin Moskovitz, Trevor Wright as Josh Thompson, Shelby Young as K.C., Rashida Jones and John Getz as Sy.

2. Toy Story 3

TNT's Falling Skies Trailer

Don't Look Up

Falling Skies is an upcoming alien invasion science fiction television series developed for TNT, and will start broadcasting June 2011. The show is produced by DreamWorks Television, with Steven Spielberg acting as executive producer.

The show stars our favorite ER doctor Noah Wyle, Will Patton and Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation, Faster). The show reminds me of V, but time will only tell if this show will have legs or just fall into a black hole like V has.

Noah Wyle as a former college professor who becomes the leader of a group of soldiers and civilians struggling against an occupying alien force. Moon Bloodgood co-stars as Anne Glass, a therapist who works with the surviving children to help them cope with the traumatic situation. The series also stars Drew Roy as Hal and Maxim Knight as Matt, Tom’s two sons; and Seychelle Gabriel as Lourdes, an orphaned teenager who helps run the group’s commissary. FX's Lights Out Trailer

Someone's 0 Must Go

FX’s upcoming new drama series Lights Out debuts on 1-11-11. The feel that you get from the trailer is an epic comeback story ala Rocky. The show stars Holt McCallany as an aging former heavyweight boxing champion, loving wife Catherine McCormack and every boxing show or movie has got to have an Don King type and that's who Reginald "Reg" E. Cathey plays.

I am a huge boxing fan and love the rocky films and to finally get a television show that focus on boxing and the story of one mans comeback is a knockout in my book.

Lights Out, from Executive Producer/Showrunner Warren Leight (In Treatment), stars Holt McCallany (CSI: Miami) as an aging former heavyweight boxing champion who struggles to find his identity and support his wife and three daughters after retiring from the ring. Financial problems leave him at a perilous crossroads – battling the urge to return to boxing or reluctantly accepting a job as a brutal and intimidating debt collector. Catherine McCormack (Braveheart) co-stars as “Theresa Leary,” Lights’ wife who is finishing her medical residency; Pablo Schreiber (Law & Order) as “Johnny Leary,” Lights’ brother and business manager whom Lights put through college; and Stacy Keach (Fat City) as “Pops,” Lights’ father and former trainer who runs the boxing gym owned by Lights. Clark Johnson (The Shield, The Wire) and Norberto Barba (In Treatment, CSI: NY) directed the pilot episode. Series Creator Justin Zackham (The Bucket List), Phillip Noyce (Salt) and Ross Fineman are also Executive Producers. Lights Out is produced by Fox Television Studios and FX Productions.

This is the year of Portman. First Black Swan, then we find out she is pregnant. Can a girl ask for a better year? The Other Woman trailer was released this afternoon over at Yahoo.

IFC will release this film on Video On Demand staring January 1st, 2011 and it will be followed by limited theatrical release on February 4th..

Pixar On Their Way To USPS

Better Get Inline For These

Great News for all you Pixar fans and stamp collectors. The USPS will be releasing a set of five stamps from previous released Pixar films.

Since 1986, Pixar films have stretched the boundaries of our imagination with stories about unlikely heroes who explore the bonds of friendship and family. Now some of those heroes are the subjects of colorful new Send a Hello stamps that encourage people to connect with loved ones through the mail.

The Send a Hello stamps, which go on sale Aug. 19, are a natural outgrowth of the Art of Disney stamp series issued between 2004 and 2008. Originally intended as a series of three annual issuances depicting friendship, celebration, and romance, the Art of Disney stamps proved so popular that the Postal Service expanded the series to include issuances in 2007 and 2008 to celebrate imagination and magic.

Based on that success, the Postal Service was eager to work with the Walt Disney Company again, choosing to explore the Disney*Pixar films, which offer exciting, contemporary characters and strong themes involving family and friends.

This pane of 20 stamps includes five different designs featuring Pixar characters: Lightning McQueen and Mater from Cars (2006); Remy the rat and Linguini from Ratatouille (2007); Buzz Lightyear and two of the green, three-eyed aliens from Toy Story (1995); Carl Fredricksen and Dug from Up (2009); and the robot WALL*E from WALL*E (2008).

Since the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature was introduced in 2001, all seven Pixar films released since that time have been nominated and five of the seven have won, including Ratatouille, WALL*E and Up.

Animated Twilight Series Coming Soon?

Don't Get Your Hopes Up Just Yet

Animated Twilight series in works? According to reports, after "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" and "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" there could be an animated Japanese television series in the works. Sounds...er....interesting.

At this time, there hasn't been any real news on a series of this kind, however, Kristen Stewart did mention in an interview last year that her character looked Asian in a particular scene and that she looked like an anime character. Of course, that is absolutely no verification that the "Twilight Saga" will be turned into an animated series so until something more official comes in, we'll just have to sit and wonder.

I can just imagine the characters now with their enormous eyes that are bigger than their faces. The extremely long eye lashes and short bodies. It makes me laugh just thinking about it. What do you guys think?
