BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

#FantasticFour Bombs At The Box Office

“ Fantastic Four ’s” opening weekend returns are looking less and less promising: The superhero pic is now on track for a $28 million opening weekend after pulling in $11 million on Friday. Movie Review: #TheFantasticFour- With a $120 million budget, a failure of “ Fantastic Four ” could be a tough blow for 20th Century Fox. Despite the reboot’s star power — Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell play the fearsome foursome — the pic hasn’t gained audience traction the way superhero movies generally do. In fact, the last major superhero release to bow below $35 million was Sony’s “ The Green Hornet ” ($33.5 million in 2011). Even the film’s director, Josh Trank, is distancing himself from the final product. “ Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation ” is poised to go neck-and-neck with “Fantastic Four” for weekend dominance, tracking to make up to $29 million this weekend after generating $8 million in Friday grosses. The fifth chapter in Paramount’s Tom Cruise fr

Movie Studios And Comic-Con

Movie Studios Build Hype With Comic-Con When the seventh annual San Diego Comic-Con took place in 1976, the gathering of a few thousand fans was just what its name implied: a convention about comic books. That year, however, Lucasfilm Ltd . set up a booth and held a slideshow presentation about a movie nearly a year away from release, " Star Wars ." More than 30 years later, the convention appears to be more and more a place where movie studios and television networks can follow in the footsteps of "Star Wars'" by giving hard-core fans an early look at upcoming releases. Sometimes, it's a very early look. Walt Disney Pictures came to Comic-Con in 2008 with test footage from what was then referred to as "TR2N," a sequel to the 1982 cult classic " Tron ," one of the first films to use computer-generated imagery. The special effects and appearance by Jeff Bridges, reprising his role in the original, made a big splash with the audienc

Green Hornet Is Fine According to Seth Rogan

Green Hornet Is Fine According to Seth Rogan Rogen—who stars, produces and co-wrote the script with Evan Goldberg—tells fans not to worry; he's got it all under control. "Honestly, I think as a producer, a lot of your work is done before now," Rogen told reporters on a call on Thursday while promoting NBC's Monsters vs. Aliens: Mutant Pumpkins From Outer Space. "It's hiring the right people and making sure all the elements are in place and then trusting them to do what you hired them to do. But I'm there all the time, so I can make sure everything's going well. There's a lot of pressure. I understand that. I've been talking about this movie for years, and if it sucks, no one will be more disappointed than me, believe me." Rogen plays Britt Reid, the newspaper publisher who dons a mask and costume to become the crime-fighting Green Hornet. Michel Gondry directs. Just being on the set is a minor relief, Rogen says: There were times when it

Bomb Scare On The Set Of The Green Hornet Looks like someone doesn't want this movie made. The production of this movie has been going threw so many issue since they first announced that the movie was going to get made. The production has been delayed, the release date was bumped, and Stephen Chow quit as director and later as the actor playing Kato. This after writers as diverse as Christopher McQuarrie and Kevin Smith tried and failed to adapt the material for film. It happened at a parking lot in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles. The crew found an unidentified metal object and called authorities. We're told the LAPD bomb squad responded and blew up the object with a robot. It was not a bomb. Hopefully, the movie isn't either. In the current version, Rogen plays Britt Reid, the newspaper entrepreneur by day and masked superhero by night. Jay Chou takes over the role of chauffeur/martial-arts expert Kato, Cameron Diaz is Lenore Case, and Inglourious Basterds' Christ

Nicolas Cage Explains "Green Hornet" Choice

Nicolas Cage Explains "Green Hornet" Choice He is in or is he out. He is out and that came from the horse mouth. Nicolas Cage says he dropped out of "The Green Hornet" film because of creative differences with star and screenwriter Seth Rogen and director Michel Gondry . Cage discussed his decision while appearing at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote the darkly comic film, " Bad Lieutenant, Port of Call: New Orleans ." He had been in talks to play the lead villain opposite Vancouver's Rogen, who will portray the masked crime fighter. But Cage says he "wasn't interested in just being just a straight-up bad guy who was killing people willy-nilly." He says Rogen and Gondry "had a different take on the character" and there wasn't enough time to develop the script. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Canoe
