Captain America Casting News. "Chucks" Captain Awesome As Steve Rogers?

Captain America Casting News. "Chucks" Captain Awesome As Steve Rogers? If you follow the NBC show Chuck then you know who Captain Awesome is. He is played by Ryan McPartlin. Ryan Told Moviehole that he recently auditioned for the role of shield-wielding Steve Rogers. I can only think of how many of young hollywood will be auditioning for this role. In an interview while promoting his work on the Hit TV show "Chuck" Rayn let this out of the bag. “The one thing I can't stand are these actors that are twittering about auditioning for Captain America. It's really tacky. With that said, it is in the casting process and like many other actors, I read for it, so we'll wait and see what happens. Regardless, I'm pretty psyched to be Captain Awesome for the time being.” Please Leave A Comment- Source- Moviehole

Cop Out Red Band Trailer

Cop Out Red Band Trailer When the first trailer for this film came out I really didn't have one bone in my body that wanted to see this film at all. Just another buddy cop movie with Stifler in it. But I didn't want to give up hope on Kevin Smith. After watching this red band trailer and actually laughed threw out the trailer and it gave me hope for this movie. Watch the trailer and let me know what you think. Two longtime NYPD partners on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint-condition baseball card find themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia-obsessed gangster. Jimmy (Bruce Willis) is the veteran detective whose missing collectible is his only hope to pay for his daughter's upcoming wedding, and Paul (Tracy Morgan) is his "partner-against-crime" whose preoccupation with his wife's alleged infidelity makes it hard for him to keep his eye on the ball. Sony Wants A Piece Of The Terminator Franchise

Sony Wants A Piece Of The Terminator Franchise Sony's joined Lionsgate in the bidding on the rights to the "Terminator" franchise. The studio had no comment but a source close to the bidding confirmed that Sony submitted a bid Thursday, the final day for submitting offers. Lionsgate stepped up last month as the first bidder for the rights to the "Terminator" franchise with a "stalking horse" or floor bid of $15 million and a 5% cut of future gross receipts. Halcyon Group put the franchise up for sale in September-. The auction for the "Terminator" assets -- which include the rights to future "Terminator" pics, TV series, DVDs and merchandise -- will be held Monday at the offices of FTI Consulting in Los Angeles, followed by a bankruptcy court hearing two days later. If Lionsgate doesn't win the auction, it will receive $750,000 as a breakup fee from the winning bidder. "Terminator Salvation," the fourth film in the fra

Howard Stern Who Can Afford Him?

Howard Stern Who Can Afford Him? I was a huge Howard Stern fan ever since I could get his channel 9 show in high school, and while he was on the radio, but once he moved over to satellite then that is where it all ended for me. I wasn't going to pay for radio, no way in hell. And I was broke at the time too. I have caught a few of his shows on XM and they just aren't the same. When he was on the radio the entire Stern team had to work hard and creatively to get there bits on air. But being on satellite they can say what they want, which has caused the show to lose it magic. Perhaps not technically, but Stern's on-air mentions of his exclusive Sirius XM Radio deal winding down at year's end, and his hedged proclamations of competing offers, are what one insider called his "method of operation." Not only is it his way of rallying his fan base so they'll agitate on his behalf, but he also is making sure that celestial and terrestrial radio know they'll ne

Russell Crowe And Beyonce Born To Be Stars

Russell Crowe And Beyonce Born To Be Stars With a new remake of "A Star Is Born" gaining momentum at Warner Bros., the studio could be closing in on, well, a star. Russell Crowe has emerged as the front-runner to take the lead male role of an aging, alcoholic musician who mentors/is schooled by -- and then finds romance with -- a younger female star. While it's not believed there is a formal offer yet, the studio is very high on the 45-year-old actor, who in turn is said to be keen to take the role. The female part would likely be played by Beyonce, who has long been associated with the role and has recently elevated her interest in it. The three previous iterations of "A Star Is Born" have alternated between settings in the film and the music worlds. The most recent one, the 1976 version from Warner Bros. that starred Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson as doomed pair Esther Hoffman and John Norman Howard, was set in the music world. Nick Cassavetes has re

Sony Wants To Find The Lost Symbol

Sony Wants To Find The Lost Symbol We've known it was coming ever since the book was announced, but now it's official: Sony has decided to ignore the diminishing returns of Angels And Demons and hired writer Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things) to adapt Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. Yes, despite Angels' $486 million haul falling well short of The Da Vinci Code's $758 million worldwide takings, the studio believes there's still life in Tom Hanks' Professor Robert Langdon, his hair and his middle distance stare. That's assuming, of course, that Hanks signs (he hasn't set a deal yet), but you can bet that Sony will be delivering a hefty pay offer to his house as soon as the bank opens. The book, meanwhile, proved to be yet another massive bestseller for Brown, and finds the good prof called to Washington to figure out the symbology of the Freemasons. Dark historical secrets will no doubt be revealed with his life under blah blah the usual. We're bett

Enchanted 2 On It's Way

Enchanted 2 On It's Way It's not surprising, given the success of Amy Adams' first warbling, gown-clad turn, that Disney would press ahead with a sequel to Enchanted. And now the Mouse House has hired both a writer (I Am Sam's Jessie Nelson) and a director (Anne Fletcher of The Proposal) to get it in gear. Considering that the original floundered for years in development limbo, the studio would like this one to flounce in front of cameras a little quicker, with, according to Variety, the aim of possibly having it in cinemas next year. Fletcher should be a good fit, since she's a former choreographer who can handle a dance scene with the best of 'em. Now, though, the big question will be whether Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and possibly Susan Sarandon would all return for another go-around. We're guessing they'd be up for it, given the original's massive success and (general) critical acclaim, but with all of them very much in demand, there

Watchman 2 Get Ready For the Sequel

Watchman 2 Get Ready For the Sequel I’ve heard this one rumbling for a while now. First there was the story that DC Comics Publisher and President Paul Levitz had personally prevented any Watchmen 2 projects, because, despite their differences, he believed that as this would be against Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ wishes, it would cause bery bad feeling in the creative community and would be a creatively bankrupt move. Moore fell out massively with DC Comics, and Paul Levitz specifically, not only choosing not to work with them any further, but scuppering spinoff projects, removing his name from any movie credits and any money due to him from said movies, and taking his one final project The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen, from Wildstorm, a publisher DC had purchased But in the wake of the movie, Watchmen became DC’s best selling comic book of all time. One might say partly because it had remained undiluted after all this time. But there were moves. A Wizard splash showing DC’s Cou

Fast and Furious "Fast Five" Confirmed

Fast and Furious "Fast Five" Confirmed Universal Pictures is hitting the accelerator on a fifth installment of "Fast and Furious," currently being referred to as "Fast Five." Studio has closed deals with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, director Justin Lin and producer Neal Moritz to return to the franchise, which has become one of the studio's most lucrative. Diesel and Walker sat out the third chapter in the series but returned for last year's fourth installment, which was the highest-grossing "Fast and Furious" film and Universal's top grosser of 2009. Its box office haul was more than $350 million worldwide. Chris Morgan is writing "Fast Five," marking the third time he and Lin have teamed for a "Fast and Furious" film. The story finds protags Dom (Diesel) and Brian (Walker) as fugitives being pursued by relentless lawmen. Lensing will begin later this year for a 2011 release. Original Films' Moritz has produced e

Ca$h Has Found A Home And Ready To Roll Into Theaters This is a good day for the folks over here at SandwichJohnFilms, being that Stephen Milburn Anderson is one of the great directors. Roadside Attractions has acquired the U.S. right to "Ca$h" the film will be hitting theaters on March 26th, I am hoping that it will get a large relase and not a selected theater in only the major cities. Lionsgate has acquired the the film for DVD. The film was produced and financed by Naveen Chathappuram, of Immortal Thoughts, with Prema Thekkek serving as Executive Producer. Media 8 Entertainment is handling international sales. If you have watched the movie South Central then you know the work of Stephen Milburn Anderson. The film had to be one of the best movies that depicted the gang life in South Central LA. Still to this day I can remember O.G Bobby Johnson. Deuce Deuce (Hoover Street De

"Kick-Ass" Director Matthew Vaughn Wants To Get His Hands On "Sandman"

"Kick-Ass" Director Matthew Vaughn Wants To Get His Hands On "Sandman" Matthew Vaughn's in a unique position with some of comics' most popular talents. That's why when he talks ideas for future projects, fans listen. In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Vaughn spoke openly on his appreciation of realistic comics, praising both his "Kick-Ass" and "Stardust" collaborators and stating that Gaiman deserves to have more of his work translated to film. "I think it's weird that hardly any Neil Gaiman stuff has been made. The idea that no one has made 'Sandman' yet is weird," said Vaughn. The Sandman's main character is Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, who is essentially the anthropomorphic personification of dreams. At the start of the series, Morpheus is captured by an occult ritual and held prisoner for 70 years. Morpheus escapes in the modern day and, after revenging himself upon his captors, sets about rebui

"Tron Legacy" New Image Of Jeff Bridges

"Tron Legacy" New Image Of Jeff Bridges Recently Oscar nominated Jeff Bridges for the movie CRAZY HEART. And one of my all time favorite actors. Disney has released a new photo of Jeff Bridges in the upcoming coming film Tron:Legacy. The picture doesn't say much just another tease from the movie Studios. Maybe he is on Facebook playing Farmville? Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidante ( Olivia Wilde ), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous. Clash Of The Titans And Harry Potter Films To Be In 3D

Clash Of The Titans And Harry Potter Films To Be In 3D Warner Brothers with Legendary Films made official just now what everybody in Hollywood already knew: its upcoming slate will be filled with 3D titles. Its feature film Clash of the Titans will be released in 3D worldwide and simultaneously in 2D on Easter Weekend April 2nd. (Which prompted several studios to hastily move release dates so as not to compete.) Doing the visual effects work will be Prime Focus, which received an Oscar nod today for Avatar. Additional titles in 2010 that will be released in 3D (in addition to 2D) include Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (July), Guardians of Ga’Hoole (September), and Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows, Part 1 (November) -- and I'm told Part II as well at a later date Said Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros Pictures, in the announcement “We are experienced and have been successful in the conversion of 2D to 3D going back to such hits as The Polar Exp

Transformers 3 To Be In 3D

Transformers 3 To Be In 3D Stereo Pictures Korea president Sung Young-seok told Daily Variety that his company is in talks for three additional pictures at Warner and is bidding on a number of 3D films for individual directors, including one for Michael Bay. Bay's next project is "Transformers 3," and there have been discussions among Bay, Paramount and Industrial Light & Magic about going 3D with the pic. The big stumbling block is the extra time required to do production and visual effects in 3D, as the movie's release date is already set. Having the pic post-converted could alleviate that problem. "Dragon Fire" To Star Vinnie Jones and Danny Glover Based on the classic story of "Moby Dick," the $5 million-budgeted movie is written by McKay Daines and begins shooting this week in Utah. It will be a joint production between Metrodome CEO Peter Urie and U.S. production and sales outfit Koan Productions. "MacGyver" CreatorTrying To Hault "MacGruber"

"MacGyver" Creator Trying To Hault "MacGruber" A downright explosive fight has broken out between the creator of the "MacGyver" television series and the producers of "MacGruber," the Will Forte parody film set to hit theaters in April. Lee Zlotoff, who created the 1985-92 ABC series about a resourceful secret agent who uses science to escape precarious situations, retained the right to make a movie based on the show via his "separated rights" under WGA rules. THR reported last March that New Line is developing a "MacGyver" movie, with Zlotoff, Raffaella De Laurentiis and Martha De Laurentiis producing. Months later, THR reported that Relativity Media was moving forward with "MacGruber," a comedy based on the popular "Saturday Night Live" segments featuring cast members Forte and Kristen Wiig. Universal will distribute the Jorma Taccone-directed film. The "MacGruber" movie didn't sit well wit

Kate Beckinsale Returning For Underworld 3D

Kate Beckinsale Returning For Underworld 3D Kate Beckinsale will in fact be starring in Underworld 3D, assuming she can't work her way out of the deal. What do I mean? Well, sources tell us she's trying to find a way out of the film -- or at least have a smaller role in order to "pass the torch" to one of her kindred (yes, she has not one, but two daughters at this point). With a plan to release the film in theaters on January 21, 2011, production needs to commence soon. Who will helm? The Variety article states Len Wiseman will once again go behind the camera. 2009 Razzie Awards Nominations Announced

2009 Razzie Awards Nominations Announced This year's Golden Raspberry Award nominations, the anti-Oscars for all films awful, have just been announced. I would have to agree with most of the nomination from this years list. 2009 is described by the Razzie Foundation as "a banner year for bad movies", and as such, the categories are hotly contested. Leading the nominations however, are Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Land of the Lost, with seven nominations each. G.I. Joe is just behind with six. It's the Razzies' 30th anniversary year, so it's time to bestow prizes for worst filmmaking of the decade. Next Bourne Film To Be A Prequel?

Next Bourne Film To Be A Prequel? While we were doing the red carpet thing at last night’s premiere of Invictus, we cornered Matt Damon and demanded that he tell us just what the HECK is going on with Bourne IV, following Paul Greengrass’ recent departure. What he told us will rock you to your very core: “There’ll probably be a prequel of some kind with another actor and another director before we do another one,” he said, “just because I think we’re probably another five years away from doing it – we’ve got to get a script…” OK, note the word ‘probably’. Could mean all kinds of things – that Damon is engaging in pure speculation, for one. But if anyone’s going to have the inside track on Universal’s plans for Bourne, it’s David Webb himself. So… does this mean that Universal has decided to – and here comes that dread word – reboot one of their biggest franchises? Maybe, maybe… If so, it would contradict recent whispers that tentative feelers have been put out to a major director to fi

New 3D King Kong Ride At Universal Studios Hollywood

New 3D King Kong Ride At Universal Studios Hollywood Over a year and a half ago the 7 ton,30 foot tall King Kong was destroyed in June 2008 Fire on The back lot of Univerasl Studios Hollywood. Universal instead spent 6 times as much to build a new attraction then remake the old ride. And created a 3D version of the ride. Since then, Weta Digital have honed the 3-D technology and many of the technological advances developed for Avatar will be used in the Kong attraction. Universal Studios Hollywood President Larry Kurzweil, said: After the 2008 fire, we knew we had to bring him back to the back lot studio tour, but in a way that has never been experienced before. It's going to feel like Avatar but it will be happening all around you. Here's a list of facts and features for the new attraction: - Guests on the studio tour will board a tram that will

Edge of Darkness Movie Review By:Sandwichjohn

Edge of Darkness Movie Review By:Sandwichjohn The Edge of Darkness marks Mel Gibson’s return to movies. The last starring role that he had was in 2002. It will be interesting to see if his behavior since then will influence the success of this movie. I will say that we were the youngest people by far in the theater during the showing we attended. Edge of Darkness is a 2010 film adaptation of the 1985 BBC television series. Mel Gibson plays Thomas Craven, a Boston police detective, who is investigating the death of his only daughter. Bojana Novakovic plays Emma Craven, who is murdered right in front of Thomas by a shot gun blast to the chest. Before Emma is murdered we see her vomiting and her nose is bleeding, she starts to freak out telling her father there is something that she should have told him. And then Bam. The police department starts investigating the case under the assumption that Thomas was the intended target and Emma was just caught in the crossfire. As Thomas soo
