Red Band Trailer For American Reunion

The cast is back for a fourth film in the American Pie franchise. Universal Studios has unleashed a Red-Band trailer for the film. Let's hope this has never happned to you before and always lock your doors!

In the comedy American Reunion, all the American Pie characters we met a little more than a decade ago are returning to East Great Falls for their high-school reunion. In one long-overdue weekend, they will discover what has changed, who hasn't and that time and distance can't break the bonds of friendship.

<a href='http://movies.msn.com/movies/movie-trailers/#/video/099bb2c4-ef9b-4f9e-9d7f-404f8e5d8b36?src=FLPl:embed::uuids' target='_new' title='&#39;American Reunion&#39; movie trailer (mature)' >Video: &#39;American Reunion&#39; movie trailer (mature)</a>

Actually, there’s not a lot here that’s truly offensive, aside from the concept of Jason Biggs’ Jim still being a chronic masturbator. Despite being seemingly happily married to Michelle (Alyson Hannigan), Jim can’t resist the chance to thrash one out when she’s in the bath, but is caught – in more ways than one – when his son arrives in the room. There’s one more little beat after that, but we won’t spoil it for you.

Suffice to say, this is exactly what you’d expect from a new American Pie outing, and while it doesn’t exactly scream fresh and new, it is at least nice to see the old gang reunited, even if they’re not present here.

American Pie: Reunion (as it’s apparently called over here) will be out on April 6 next year with Seann William Scott, Natasha Lyonne, Mena Suvari, Shannon Elizabeth, Tara Reid, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Eugene Levy and Eddie Kaye Thomas all present and correct.

Set in the political snake-pit of Elizabethan England, Anonymous speculates on an issue that has for centuries intrigued academics and brilliant minds ranging from Mark Twain and Charles Dickens to Henry James and Sigmund Freud, namely: who was the author of the plays credited to William Shakespeare? Experts have debated, books have been written, and scholars have devoted their lives to protecting or debunking theories surrounding the authorship of the most renowned works in English literature. Anonymous poses one possible answer, focusing on a time when cloak-and-dagger political intrigue, illicit romances in the Royal Court, and the schemes of greedy nobles hungry for the power of the throne were exposed in the most unlikely of places: the London stage.

Sacramento Kings Present Premiere "The Wayman Tisdale Story." Get Your Tickets

Moving to Sacramento from Japan in the early 90's the Sacramento Kings were the talk of the town. Making them the only sports team in the capital area. I have very fond memories of going to watch the Kings play basketball at Arco Area and just waiting to see Wayman Tisdale pull out his signature move "Tizzy-Flip" , oh how sweet it was.

The Sacramento Kings will be the Sacramento Premiere of "The Wayman Tisdale Story" at Power Balance Pavilion October 19,2011. Get FREE Tickets HERE.

“Probably one of the best college players to play the game.”

Arguably the NBA’s greatest player, Michael Jordan, pays the late Wayman Tisdale – a man who personified talent, optimism and perseverance – the ultimate compliment in the soon-to-debut documentary “The Wayman Tisdale Story.”

"The Wayman Tisdale Story" Documentary (Coming Soon) from Brian Schodorf on Vimeo

One of only 10 players in college basketball history to ever be named a three-time All-American, Tisdale, a 6-foot-9 power forward with a sweet left-handed jump-shot and unstoppable post moves, averaged 25.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per game at the University of Oklahoma. A three-time Big Eight Conference Player of the Year, he still holds the school’s career scoring (2,661 points) and rebounding (1,048) records, as well as the single-game scoring mark (61).

An instant fan favorite with an infectious smile, genuine charisma and tremendous heart, Tisdale led the Sooners to Big Eight titles in 1984 and 1985, winning 70 out of 81 games during the stretch, and became the first Oklahoma athlete in any sport to have his uniform number, 23, retired.

He was the leading rebounder and fifth-leading scorer on the legendary 1984 gold-medal-winning U.S. Olympic Men’s Basketball Team that included future Hall of Famers Jordan, Patrick Ewing and Chris Mullin.

“Of any of the kids I coached, he was one of the most enthusiastic for playing basketball and toward his teammates,” remarked Tisdale’s Olympic coach Bob Knight to ESPN.com in May of 2009.
“The phrase ‘team spirit’ cannot apply to anybody more than Wayman Tisdale. He was simply one of the most enjoyable kids I have ever had the opportunity to coach.”

After being selected with the second-overall pick in the 1985 NBA Draft, Tisdale played 12 years in the NBA, including five-and-a-half in Sacramento, averaging 15.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game over the course of his professional career. His best season came with the Kings in 1989-90, when he averaged 22.3 points per game (19th in the League) on 53 percent shooting and twice notched a single-game career-best 40 points. Tisdale ranks fifth in scoring (6,808 points), sixth in rebounds (2,676) and seventh in blocks (280) in the Sacramento era.

“When I think of Wayman Tisdale, I think of one of the absolutely most delightful players that we’ve had in the 24 years I’ve been associated with (the Kings) organization,” said Kings Director of Player Personnel Jerry Reynolds in 2009. “He was certainly one of the most outstanding players, and his stats would prove that. I’ll take it a step further – there was never a time when he wasn’t the most popular player in the locker room.”

Yet, basketball was only the tip of the iceberg for the supremely gifted Tisdale. While playing for the Phoenix Suns in 1995, the multi-talented star delved into what he described as “his first love.”
A self-taught musician who began playing the bass as a child when his father gave him a Mickey Mouse guitar, he released his first album, “Power Forward,” which climbed to the No. 4 spot on Billboard’s contemporary Jazz chart. Tisdale subsequently recorded seven critically-acclaimed albums, two of which, “Face to Face” (2001) and “Way Up!” (2006) peaked at the top of the charts. He toured worldwide with some of the biggest names in the genre and scored a No. 1 hit with a remake of the song, “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now,” which serves as a perfect microcosm of his ever-optimistic outlook.

“(Basketball and music) are the two parts of myself,” said Tisdale. “Basketball taught me a work ethic. And even though music comes from a different part of me, I work just as hard at it.”

In February of 2007, after breaking his leg in a fall down a flight of stairs in his home, Tisdale was diagnosed with bone cancer. Following multiple rounds of chemotherapy, the doctors had to surgically amputate the lower portion of his right leg.

Suddenly, Tisdale, only a decade removed from being one of the best athletes in the world, could no longer stand without the assistance of a prosthesis.

Despite hearing a grim prognosis from the doctors and faced with the unfathomable task of simply learning how to walk again, Tisdale never wavered and continued to light up a room with his guitar. After acclimating to his prosthetic leg in just 30 days, he soon went back to the recording studio to work on a new up-beat album inspired by his fight, which was titled “Rebound.”

“Cancer might’ve taken my leg, but it can’t take my smile,” he said.

Tragically, Tisdale lost his long battle with the disease and passed away on May 15, 2009, at the age of 44. Just as he always did on the basketball court, he lived his life with dignity, kindness and integrity.
To those who had the privilege of knowing him, Tisdale’s accomplishments as an athlete and musician pale in comparison to the character and influence he exemplified as a person.

“Nicest man in the world with the biggest heart and an even bigger smile,” Reggie Miller, who played alongside Tisdale on the Pacers, told the Associated Press in May of 2009. “I thank him for befriending me and showing me there is more to life than just basketball.”

A role model and close friend of many of his former teammates and coaches, Tisdale’s joy and passion went far beyond the hardwood.

“That’s a real friend who’s got your back and would do just about anything for you,” Sam Perkins, a former Indiana teammate, told the Associated Press in May of 2009. “That smile just gets you. He was upbeat all the time.”

After reaching the pinnacle of greatness in two prestigious and high-profile careers, Tisdale ultimately discovered his best talent was not strumming guitar strings or dunking a basketball – it was making the world a better place.

“I’ve been blessed with this great gift, but I think it’s not music or basketball, my greatest gift is to make other people feel better,” said Tisdale a few months before his passing. “What better tool than to have gone through something like this?

If you see me smile, you see the genuine love. That’s me.”

Michael Fassbender Is A 12 Years A Slave

Clearly looking to live up to their Scorsese/De Niro-level partnership, Hunger/Shame director Steve McQueen and regular star Michael Fassbender are re-teaming for a third time, as the actor has joined 12 Years a Slave.

Co-written by McQueen and John Ridley, Slave will tell the true story of New Yorker Solomon Northrup (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who was kidnapped from Washington’s streets in 1841 and shipped off to become a forced labourer. He was eventually rescued from a cotton plantation in Louisiana in 1853.

There’s no word yet on exactly who Fassbender will be playing, though we expect great – and, given the pair’s usual subject matter – controversial things.

Shame, with its searing look at sex addition, has been nabbing strong buzz at various festivals, not least because of brutal performances by Fassbender and Carey Mulligan. It’s playing the London Film Festival this month and will hit general screens on January 13.

Fassbender also has A Dangerous Method waiting for release and most recently shot a role on Ridley Scott’s Prometheus.

Val Kilmer The Best Batman Ever According To Joel Schumacher

Earlier this week, IFC spoke to "Trespass" director Joel Schumacher about Christopher Nolan's record-breaking run with Batman -- a character near and dear to his heart after he made not one but two films featuring the DC Comics icon.

While Schumacher's first adventure with Batman was a box-office success -- 1995's "Batman Forever" -- his 1997 "Batman & Robin" sequel didn't fare as well. Along with near-universal negative reviews, the film failed to perform at the box office and eventually became known as the film that "killed" the Batman franchise (until Nolan came along, of course).

"Sequels are made for one reason," Schumacher told IFC during an interview promoting his new film "Trespass" with Nicolas Cage. "Because 'Batman Forever' was an unexpected sensation, and the second-biggest grossing movie for the whole year, and everyone made so much money out of 'Batman Forever,' it was always, 'more, more more.'"

"I broke a rule of mine, which is never to do a sequel of anything," he said of "Batman & Robin." "They wanted me to do sequels for 'St. Elmo's Fire,' 'Flatliners,' 'Lost Boys,' and some of the other films I've done, and I always knew that if you get lucky, walk away. But I was shooting 'A Time To Kill' and the studio had been very generous to me, and much was expected of me by the toy manufacturers and the Warner Bros. stores."

Still, Schumacher stopped short of downplaying his role in what many regard as one of the worst superhero movies ever made.

"I'm responsible for everything. I said, 'yes' and I took it on," he said. "It's not my favorite movie I've ever made, but I'm proud of my cast and I'm proud of all the artists who worked on it. I take full responsibility for 'Batman & Robin.'"

Still, despite the rampant negativity surrounding Schumacher's mainstream-friendly contributions to the live-action Batman movie-verse, there are quite a few things he's quick to boast about regarding his Batman. For example, he knows he's not alone in considering "Batman Forever" star Val Kilmer one of the best versions of Bruce Wayne to appear on the big screen.

"For me, Val Kilmer was the best Batman," he said. "I thought he looked great in the costume, and I thought he brought a depth to the role. I thought the relationship between Val and Nicole Kidman was very sexy. Jim Carrey, of course, was the perfect Riddler. And then I had the great Tommy Lee Jones and a lot of other great people are in that movie."

Schumacher also revealed that, if he'd gotten his way, his second Batman film would have been more in line with Nolan's "Dark Knight" instead of the studio-friendly "Batman & Robin."

"I think I'm the most envious of Chris Nolan because he got to do 'The Dark Knight' -- and that's the one I begged to do as my second Batman film," he said. "I wanted to do a whole other thing, because we had kind of re-invented franchise with Val as Batman and it was a very young, sexy, and much less expensive movie. We brought in Robin and I wanted to make 'The Dark Knight' desperately, but the studio didn't want that and it's their money and they're my bosses."

First Photo Of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone And Bruce Willis On The Expendables 2 Set

A day after he unveiled a giant, bronze statue of himself in his hometown of Thal, Austria, Arnold Schwarzenegger was back on set for The Expendables 2.

The former California governor shared a picture of himself with fellow Expendables 2 actors Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis. The ’80s action icons look pretty relaxed in the image from the set in Bulgaria.

“Back in action for The Expendables 2! I'm having a fantastic time on set with Bruce and Sly in Bulgaria,” wrote Schwarzenegger.

Schwarzenegger looks particularly relaxed in his Hawaiian shirt, while Stallone stands with his arms crossed and what looks like weapons on the legs of his costume. Willis looks rather fashionable for an action hero in a scarf and beige shirt. In the background, planes and some military personnel can be seen.

Both Willis and Schwarzenegger had small cameos in the first film, but their roles will be expanded in the sequel.

The Expendables 2 is the sequel to the 2010 Sylvester Stallone-helmed film. The ensemble picture includes not only Stallone, Willis and Schwarzenegger, but also Jason Statham, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren and Chuck Norris. Simon West will direct the Lionsgate film, which is set for an August 2012 release.
