The film stars Carla Gugino (Watchmen,Entourage), David Boreanaz (Angel,Bones), Ellen Burstyn (The Exorcist) and Marley Shelton (Scream 4).
The film is perfect to bring the entire family to and also has a very good feminist message, since it takes place right after Title IX was passed and more and more women entering the workforce. And is based on the true story of the first Cinderella team in women's basketball.
