Dude Looks Like a Lady-Ryan Reynolds To Cross Dress

Dude Looks Like a Lady-Ryan Reynolds To Cross Dress

Ryan Reynolds, your 11th sexiest man alive, is set to cross-dress in his next as-yet untitled comedy. The sometime-Deadpool and soon-to-be Green Lantern will be donning dress and mascara to win his ex back, in one of the more unusual dating strategies we've heard.

In a plot that sounds suspiciously like Mrs Doubtfire with the children removed (or Some Like It Hot without any gangsters or millionaires), the cross-dressing will be allowing Reynolds' dude-y character to befriend the ex who dumped him and hopefully win her back (our prediction: not that easy, but Life Lessons will be learned before the happy ending).

It's all being written by Allan Loeb, the 21 and Wall Street 2 screenwriter, and produced by Working Title.

Does This Mean Green Lantern Movie Delayed?

Does This Mean Green Lantern Movie Delayed?

I sure this doesn't mean that the movie will be delayed. I am really looking forward to this movie. I Have always been a huge fan of Green Lantern and when they announced the movie was going to begin filming this year I was excited. Now this, time can only tell when filming will begin.

Green Lantern is the name of several fictional characters, superheroes appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. The first (Alan Scott) was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Martin Nodell in All-American Comics #16 (July 1940).

Each Green Lantern possesses a power ring that gives the user great control over the physical world as long as the wielder has sufficient willpower and strength to wield it. While the ring of the Golden Age Green Lantern (Alan Scott) was magically powered, the rings worn by all subsequent Lanterns were technological creations of the Guardians of the Universe, who granted such rings to worthy candidates. These individuals made up the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps.

The falling U.S. dollar has forced Warner Bros. Pictures to reassess the viability of shooting a number of projects in several countries, after confirming Friday that it's pulling production of "Green Lantern" out of Australia.

On Friday, the Australian dollar hit a 27-year high against the U.S. dollar, closing at 95 cents, a 30% decrease in value for the greenback since the shoot was announced six months ago, and which would reportedly add over $20 million in cost to the production.

The Aussie dollar is being tipped by analysts to reach parity with the U.S. dollar in the coming weeks and could go as high as AUS$1.10 next year.

"After working closely with our partners at the NSW Film and Television Office (Screen NSW) and examining every scenario, we have decided to move the production of 'Green Lantern.' We are extremely grateful for the assistance we have received from the NSW Government, Fox Studios and the NSW filmmaking community," the statement said.

Industry sources here suggest "Green Lantern" will move to Mexico or Canada.

The NSW government announced in April it had secured the "Green Lantern" shoot at Fox Studios and production was to have started in November. Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale") is set to direct Ryan Reynolds ("The Proposal") in the big-screen comic book adaptation, which is set for a summer 2011 release.

Actors Join M.Night Shyamalan New Project

Actors Join M.Night Shyamalan New Project

I am still waiting on news for a second film which will continue the story from "Unbreakable".
In a September 2008 article, Shyamalan and Samuel L. Jackson said there was some discussion of a sequel when the film was being made that mostly died with the poor box office. Jackson said he was still interested in a sequel but Shyamalan was non-committal.

And from the Previews of "The Last Airbender", doesn't look half bad. Never bothered to watch the show on Nickelodeon, maybe cause I have 2 little girls. But I do like what I have seen.

I have always like the twists and turn in his movies, you think you figured out the movie and then Bam its turn to the left.

Logan Marshall-Green, Jenny O'Hara, Jacob Vargas and Matt Craven are to dance with John Dowdle's "Devil" movie shoot in Toronto, part of M. Night Shyamalan's three-film slate with Media Rights Capital.

Also rounding out the ensemble cast ahead of an Oct. 24 production start are Chris Messina, Bojana Novakovic, Bokeem Woodbine, Geoffrey Arend and Caroline Dhavernas.

Universal will distribute "Devil," the first project from Shyamalan's "The Night Chronicles"

Fox Reality Channel Closing Up Shop

Fox Reality Channel Closing Up Shop

I didn't even realize that this channel was still on air, Well I guess not for much longer. Reality shows are still the craze, but looks like the channel just didn't catch on. I must admit I have seen the channel a few times, but it just didn't stick in my favorites.

Now if they showed "Top Chef "or "Diners, Dives and Drive Ins" then maybe it would have kept my attention. I am also a reality show whore for anything that has to do with food.

Fox Networks Group told staffers Wednesday that the 4-year-old channel will end its run March 31.

The network aired a mix of acquired reality repeats such as "Temptation Island" and "Last Comic Standing" and some original reality content like "American Idol Extra."

The company has not yet announced what it will do with the channel, which is distributed to 50 million homes.

"With the changing cable landscape, we've made a strategic decision to shift some resources and refocus on emerging channels," the company said. "However, Fox Reality Channel will remain on our lineup for at least the next several months."

Do You "Trust" Clive Owen

Do You "Trust" Clive Owen

I sure would, look at his resume Closer, King Arthur, Sin City, Inside Man I could go on and on. I have really enjoyed the movies that he has Starred in. And I am looking forward to more news on this film.

Really seems weird to hear David Schwimmer is directing, this is the guy who played " Ross" on Friends. But hey what the hell. His first film wasn't half bad. Any film starring Clive Owen sounds like something I would spend my money on.

Clive Owen and Catherine Keener are starring in "Trust," a drama David Schwimmer is directing for Millennium Films.

Schwimmer, making his second foray into directing, came up with the story and is producing with his Dark Harbor Stories partner Tom Hodges. Andy Bellin wrote the script.Schwimmer's first film was the Simon Pegg-toplined comedy "Run Fatboy Run"

"Trust" tells the story of a family blindsided when their teenage daughter becomes a victim of an online sexual predator.

Owen and Keener play the parents. Newcomer Liana Liberato is the daughter.

Nu Image will distribute the film worldwide.

Josh Duhamel To Star In "What's He Got?

Josh Duhamel To Star In "What's He Got?

I am sure my wife April wishes she had Josh Duhamel also. Sorry babe. Proud to support a local guy, well sorta of he did live in Sacramento,Ca. for awhile.

Looks like Disney is willing to spend money on a pitch for a movie starring Josh Duhamel and Directed by Walt Becker

Disney spent $900,000 against $1.6 million for "What's He Got?," a pitch by Kevin Bisch (“Hitch”) that has Josh Duhamel attached to star, and Walt Becker attached to direct. Becker will produce with Andrew Panay and Category 5's Brian Sher.

The pitch was described as a high concept romantic comedy. Not surprising that Disney moved aggressively, given that Becker has a deal at the studio, where he has directed the “Wild Hog,” “Old Dogs,” and is working on the “Wild Hogs” sequel.

What is emerging here is an interesting paradigm. Several studios have put the word out that they aren’t going to be spending on anything but pictures for 2010 and 2011 slates. But if a big opportunity comes along, they will open up the coffers. Disney production chief Oren Aviv and exec veep Kristin Burr moved quickly to land the property.

Edge OF Darkness Trailer

I wouldn't call it a comeback, I have been here for year. (Sorry song got stuck in my head), like everyone is saying. I would call it more of a bump in the road. The movie is directed by Martin Campbell.

To quote Mel Gibson "fasten your seat belt" is how he describes the movie.

The story is based on the BBC mini-series of the same name and is centered on a veteran homicide detective for the Boston Police Department whose only child is murdered on the steps of his home. The cop unearths his daughter’s secret life and discovers a world of corporate cover-ups and government collusion.

Jon Favreau Not Going To Be Directing "The Avengers" Film

Jon Favreau has confirmed he will not be available to direct the upcoming Avengers movie, But he will be an executive producer on the film.

Also in the clip below love the Quote from Jon "Spider-man is Cartoonie"

Sad news yes for the upcoming film. Now here we going with all the speculation on who's going to direct the film? Any ideas or who you would like to see get their hands on the film.

As far as his more direct involvement in "The Avengers" goes, Favreau flat-out denied rumors that he'd direct the superhero team-up extravaganza.

At least he will have some involvement on the film, even though he is not directing the film

"They'll have to [find a different director], because I'm not going to be available," he explained. "It's something I'm being the executive producer on, so I'll definitely have input and a say."

Here is something else that was brought up, and is sad news to me. Since the guy did such a great job in the film. But we may have a shot of seeing him in The Avengers film

Is Justin Long "The Conspirator"

Is Justin Long "The Conspirator"

Funny man Justin Long is shaking things up a little bit and going in the direction of drama. This film will offer him a chance to show some versatility and that he is more then a comedic actor.

I loved him in the movie Dodge ball, Live Free or Die Hard, He's Just Not That Into You and Zak and Miri Make A Porn As the gay lover to Brandon Routh . See clip below.

Justin Long is joining James McAvoy and Robin Wright Penn in "The Conspirator," the historical drama that Robert Redford is directing.

"Conspirator" tells the story of Confederate sympathizer Mary Surratt (Wright Penn), who was tried as a conspirator in the Lincoln assassination, and Col. Frederick Aiken (McAvoy), who reluctantly agreed to defend her before a military tribunal.

Long plays a soldier who lost a limb in the Civil War and is McAvoy's best friend and conscience.

Chris Pine To Take Over Jack Ryan Role

Chris Pine To Take Over Jack Ryan Role

Someone is going to be a busy boy, Hot off of Star Trek Chris Pine is in negotiations with Paramount Pictures to play CIA analyst Jack Ryan in the reboot of the franchise based on the Tom Clancy novels.

UPDATE: Paramount confirmed this story late Tuesday, and in a statement, Paramount Film Group president Adam Goodman said: "Tom Clancy created an unforgettable character with Jack Ryan. With Chris in this role, we've taken our first step in creating a re-boot that lives up to the successful lineage of the franchise."

Pine is positioned to topline his second Par franchise. He played James T. Kirk in “Star Trek,” the JJ Abrams-directed summer hit, and will reprise in the sequel.

Pine is separately in talks to team with director D.J. Caruso in the Paramount drama “The Art of Making Money,” early next year.

Talks are just getting underway, but Pine is expected to come aboard the Jack Ryan film as the project takes shape. The studio and producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mace Neufeld are working with a script draft by Hossein Amini, based on an original concept. They are still in deep development and it is unclear whether Pine would make another “Star Trek” before the Jack Ryan film. He will clearly be working often for Paramount over the next several years.

Sir Ian McKellen Talks About X-Men and The Hobbit

Sir Ian McKellen Talks About X-Men and The Hobbit

First up: The Hobbit. It’s been known for some while now that Sir Ian would be reprising his role as Gandalf (the Grey variety this time) for Guillermo del Toro’s Lord of the Rings prequel. But he had a few additional titbits to spill this time around.

“The scripts for the two films will be delivered very soon,” he revealed. “Then they'll be budgeted, and then they'll be cast. And they'll be going when they've always said they would be, which is next spring – March or April. Guillermo even told me at one point, 'We're going to film for 383 days.

There’s been fervent speculation about the possible return of other Rings cast members, with the likes of Legolas and Aragorn in the frame for cameos, but Sir Ian isn’t convinced.

Of course, we fully expect Hugo Weaving to pop up as Elrond, but that announcement will doubtless come in due course.

In the meantime, we couldn’t let Sir Ian – who was at San Sebastian to pick up a lifetime achievement award – go without mentioning X-Men Origins: Magneto, which is still in a state of flux. Rumor has it that the script would call for a McKellen appearance to bookend the prequel action, but the actor says he’s heard nowt.

“There's meant to be a Magneto script floating around, but I've not read it, so I suspect it wouldn't involve me,” he said. “I think it would be about the younger Magneto, and the most I could hope for would be to top and tail that. They can't have someone whose face is as lined as mine any longer!”

Main Character To Be Killed On "Heroes" This Year

Main Character To Be Killed On "Heroes" This Year

Who is it going to be?

This is what is floating around the Internet, looks like this death is going to be Huge. A member from the Original cast.

How the story is looking so far my money would be on Hiro, but isn't that the obvious
choice? Him being sick and told he was going to die. Nathan is dead, Sylar thinks he is Nathan. Could it be Sylar? Zachary Quinto is a bonifide movie star now. Time will only tell.

Here is a Twitt from Greg Grunberg-Yes, one of the main characters is getting killed off for realzies!! Sad but true. Really sad. Stay tuned.

Sources over on NBC's Heroes confirm to me that a major death is in the works, and this is not one that will go unnoticed by even the most casual fan.

However, I will tell you that this leading character is a male, And he is one of the original cast.

Clearly the producers are pulling out all the stops this season in an effort to ramp up storylines and pull out a big watercooler-worthy surprise.

Does Chris Pine Know "The Art Of Making Money"

Does Chris Pine Know "The Art Of Making Money"

Chris Pine did a great job playing a young Cpt James T Kirk in J.J. Abrams‘ prequel Star Trek,
he also did a great job playing Darwin Tremor in Smokin' Aces. We know that he will be attached to Play the Kirk role for awhile, which isn't a bad deal. But it looks like he is trying to branch out to other movies.

Paramount Pictures is in negotiations with Chris Pine and director D.J. Caruso to put fact-based drama "The Art of Making Money" on a fast track to begin production early next year.

If the deals are made, Pine will play Art Williams, the alias for a Chicago man who rose from petty theft to become a master counterfeiter.

Paramount acquired the project based on a 2005 Rolling Stone article by Jason Kersten, who turned his reporting into the book "The Art of Making Money: The Story of a Master Counterfeiter," which was published last summer by Gotham.

Caruso most recently directed the Shia LaBeouf-starrers "Eagle Eye" and "Disturbia." The helmer is fielding several offers but the expectation is that he and Pine will make deals quickly.

Star Wars In Concert Review

Star Wars In Concert-Sacramento Review
By: April Meneghetti
Sandwichjohnfilms would like thank the guy over at DCpublicity and Star Wars In Concert for the great seats to the show on Oct 9,2009.

Star Wars In Concert was an awesome show. There were some really great costumes in the crowd and I loved seeing all the kids pumped up to see the concert. I have to say that I was very surprised that Arco Arena was not more full. Sandwichjohnfilms was lucky enough to be able to attend the Friday and Saturday show and neither one was even close to filling the Arena.

The show was a combination of the the music of Star Wars, John Williams composed the music for all six films, and clips from all six movies with Anthony Daniels (who portrayed C-3PO) narrating. The show started and ended with a montage of all of the films. The rest was presented in more or less a chronological order in pieces with titles such as The Rise of A Hero and A Fateful Love to name a few. It definitely met with the approval with such hard core Star Wars fans such as sandwichjohnfilms and others new to the Star Wars universe. I have to admit that I was getting a little upset towards the end since they had not shown the clip that I thought was one of the most important which is the birth of Luke and Leia, but it was in the last montage thankfully. I am also pleased that it did not show the one clip that will make me cry every time (just ask John) which is Anakin killing the Younglings.
One thing that I really loved about the concept of this type of show is that it gets people out to see a orchestra perform live who would not normally see it. As a former band geek it made want to get out the flute and start playing again. Definitely go see this show if it is coming anywhere close to where you live, you will have a great time.

Will there Be a Fourth Twilight Film?

Will there Be a Fourth Twilight Film?

Do you really think that they haven't already greenlit the fourth movie. Forget about it. Even if the next film doesn't gross anywhere near the first movie. It's still going to come out. Ah if it didn't my wife and sister would be so pissed.

A casting agent's press release ignited a firestorm of speculation this morning with its announcement that "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn production has been greenlit by Summit Entertainment."

Only to be followed by an unnamed Summit representative telling Gossip Cop that, "The film has not been greenlit—and thus no decisions about the film's shooting location, start date, the director, etc. ... have been made."

Will Breaking Dawn end up as one film? Or two?

Stephenie Meyer has been quoted as saying that a single movie wouldn't be sufficient to carry the plot of her novel. "It would have to be made into multiple movies, because it's hard to imagine it fitting into 90 minutes," said the author. But will the studio agree? Or will they leave out some of the plot threads that made the book a best-seller?

Will the novel's explicitness be toned down?

Breaking Dawn is filled with explicit scenes of sex and birth, which if filmed with fidelity to the novel would force an R rating on a franchise that has up until now kept to a PG-13. Will the studio lock out some of its intended audience by ramping up the rating to R? Or will it risk alienating that audience by watering down what made it successful in the first place?

Angelina Jolie Steps In For Charlize Theron As "The Tourist"

Angelina Jolie Steps In For Charlize Theron As "The Tourist"

If we are talking about eye candy then either one would be just fine for me. It like trading an apple for an apple all the same to me. Both are gorgeous and can act. It's more which one do you like more?

Also Look like Sam Worthington will be replacing my main man Tom Cruise in the film also. The project is now also seeking a director, as Bharat Nalluri, the "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" helmer who had been attached to direct, is as of last week off the project. Are we playing revolving door here?

Charlize Theron has opted out of the Spyglass-produced thriller "The Tourist," to which she has long been attached, and in talks to replace her is one Angelina Jolie, sources say.

Production has at least until this point been tentatively set for early 2010, which could prompt producers to act quickly on a director.

A remake of the French thriller "Anthony Zimmer" from 2005, "Tourist" centers on an American tourist who, on behalf of Interpol, goes undercover to entrap a former lover who's a suspected global criminal. It follows in the long tradition of innocents caught up in shady activities abroad that dates back to Hitchcock ("The Man Who Knew Too Much"), Polanski ("Frantic") and beyond, and a theme that also has contemporary echoes with "Taken" this past year.

World Of WarCraft Film Has Found It's Screenwriter

MTV let us know that Sam Raimi told them that "Saving Private Ryan" writer Robert Rodat will be tackling the "Warcraft" script.

The aim is to adapt the game, rather than a previously conceived story written within that world. "We want to be really faithful to the game," Raimi said. "We would have our writer, Robert Rodat, really craft an original story within that world that feels like a 'World of WarCraft' adventure. Only obviously it's very different 'cause it's expanded and translated into the world of a motion picture."

Bryan Singer In Talks To Return To "X-Men"

Bryan Singer In Talks To Return To "X-Men"

This is good news to my ears. I thought that the last X-Men movie was a bomb with Brett Ratner directing the movie,i feel that it almost killed the franchise.

Bryan Singer said Sunday he's interested in making another "X-Men" movie and has discussed the possibility with Twentieth Century Fox.

The American director made "X-Men" and "X2: X-Men United," but passed on the third installment so he could make "Superman Returns.""Rush Hour" director Brett Ratner ended up shooting that film, "X-Men: The Last Stand." South African filmmaker Gavin Hood made another spin-off, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," which was released earlier this year.

"I'm still looking to possibly returning to the 'X-Men' franchise. I've been talking to Fox about it,"

Singer said he enjoyed making science fiction and fantasy movies because they allowed him to discuss serious issues through entertainment. He said the "X-Men" series, which follows a group of mutants with superpowers who struggle to fit in with humans, is about tolerance and social structures.
