Terminator: Dark Fate Is The Working Title For New Terminator Movie

Though he's busy on Pandora with his multiple Avatar sequels, James Cameron has found time to consult on and hand off other projects to directors, including the freshly-arrived Alita: Battle Angel and the next Terminator film, which has Deadpool's Tim Miller handling the action. Now, talking with Yahoo , he's revealed that the new cyborg movie is currently working titled Terminator: Dark Fate . Two of the franchise's icons are back for this one, with Linda Hamilton at last reprising the battle-weary Sarah Connor, who will have been through even more when we meet her once more. "Fans are going to want to see her again, and they’re going to want to see the real Sarah Connor and what time and dealing with these tragic futures has done to her. It’s hardened her even more, but in a way that made her much stronger," Cameron says. "Maybe less likable, but stronger. And ultimately, she becomes a really important character in passing the baton to the new chara

Linda Hamilton Returning To The Terminator Franchise

She’ll be back. THR is reporting after waving hasta la vista, baby, more than 25 years ago, Linda Hamilton is returning to the world of Terminator, reuniting with James Cameron, the creator of the sci-fi franchise, for the new installment being made by Skydance and Paramount. Cameron made the announcement at a private event celebrating the storied franchise, saying, "As meaningful as she was to gender and action stars everywhere back then, it’s going to make a huge statement to have that seasoned warrior that she’s become return." With Hamilton’s return, Cameron hopes to once again make a statement on gender roles in action movies. "There are 50-year-old, 60-year-old guys out there killing bad guys,” he said, referring to aging male actors still anchoring movies, “but there isn’t an example of that for women.” Tim Miller, the filmmaker who made his breakout feature debut with Deadpool, is directing the sequel, which is returning to its roots by having the in

Terminator Sequel Gets Terminated

After the disappointing box office results for Terminator Genisys last year, there was a lot of talk of recalibrating the attempted new trilogy. Now it appears Paramount is ready to put the brakes on even harder, removing the planned second film from its release schedule. The next Terminator film, which didn't have a confirmed cast, director or writers, but had been hoping to kick off shooting this year, had been sitting on the company's schedule in the prime early summer slot of May 19, 2017. Hopes had been high that Genisys would launch a revived Terminator franchise, but the critical reaction and the low turnout ($89 million in the US, with a slightly healthier worldwide response thanks partly to China) didn't instill confidence. There may well still be movement on the Terminator front, especially as the rights revert to creator James Cameron in 2019, but for now Arnie and co. are in timeline limbo. Still, Terminator's loss is Baywatch's gain, as the film ve

#TERMINATORGENISYS Uneventful Images

New images from TERMINATOR GENISYS and to be honest I am not impressed with the images at all. But I still have hope for the film. See all the images after the Jump... The filmmakers plan to re-create the memorable scene in the original Terminator when the T-800 lands at L.A.’s Griffith Observatory, complete with Schwarzenegger’s 36-year-old face and ripped, naked body. To achieve that, the special-effects team has created a “synthespian,” or synthetic thespian, using a body double plus scans of Schwarzenegger’s face from the first film merged with what his face looks like now. The result: an entirely CG head of the Terminator circa 1984. The filmmakers are counting on that technology, and the movie’s villain—a man/machine hybrid they’re keeping under wraps—to be visual game changers. Please Leave A Comment- Images Via EW

First Look At #TerminatorGenisys

We’ve heard a lot of talk about how Terminator: Genisys will play with the timeline originally established by James Cameron in the first two films. Now, with Entertainment Weekly publishing the first proper looks at the new movie via its latest covers, there are also some intriguing story details to relate. Naturally, we would caution that if you read ahead, you’re wandering into SPOILER TERRITORY , so be suitably advised. Genisys reportedly starts in 2029, with the war between the human rebels and Skynet’s malicious machines is in full swing. Present and correct – though played now by different actors – are John Connor ( Jason Clarke ) and Kyle Reese ( Jai Courtney ) who are taking advantage of pushing back against the antagonistic artificial intelligence to send Reese to 1984 on his mission to save Sarah Connor from termination at the hands of a killer cyborg. So far, so story as usual for the franchise. But when Reese makes it into the past, things are very different. Sar
