BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Samuel L. Jackson Playing Nick Fury in New Disney+ Series

Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise the role of Nick Fury in a new Marvel series currently in development at Disney Plus, Variety has learned exclusively from sources.  The exact plot details of the show are being kept under wraps, but multiple sources say Jackson is attached to star with Kyle Bradstreet attached to write and executive produce. Like all the other Marvel shows at Disney Plus, Marvel Studios will produce. Jackson famously portrayed Fury, the monocular head of the clandestine government agency S.H.I.E.L.D, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going back to the post-credits scene in the first “Iron Man” film in 2008. He has appeared in multiple films within the MCU since, most recently portraying Fury in “Spider-Man: Far from Home,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and “Captain Marvel.” He also played the character in two episodes of the ABC series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” SPOILER ALERT:  The last time fans saw Fury was in the post-credits scene of “Far From Home,” where he was onboard

Jumanji Sequel To Square Off Against Star Wars Episode IX

The end of Star Wars’ current trilogy has long been pencilled in for a December 2019 release — an immovable object in the blockbuster landscape. But J.J. Abrams’ return to the galaxy far, far away is about to face some unexpected competition in the form of an unstoppable force: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson . Following the huge success of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle , which currently sits at a box office total of just under $1 billion worldwide, it looks like a third Jumanji film will be coming to the big screen in — you guessed it — December 2019. Speaking at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Sony Pictures chairman Tom Rothman said: "I'd bet on seeing Dwayne Johnson in theaters again in December 2019. Don't rush to give all those screens to Star Wars.” Despite an opening weekend of $36 million in the US, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle went on to gross $404 million in the States alone. Of course, the Star Wars team won’t be too worried — even with Jumanji and The Greatest Show

#StarWarsSmugglersBounty Review: January 2017

January's Star Wars/Funko Smuggler's Bounty sub box strikes a win with this month's THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK! Review by Matt Cummings As 2016 ended on the Star Wars/Funko alliance known as Smuggler's Bounty, it was clear the sub box line had learned some big lessons, mixing heavy disappointments with stellar submissions. Even with an awesome November, we were curious to see if January would make it 2-for-2, or whether the line was in for a turbulent 2017. I can happily report that January's THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK theme is filled with a very good wearable, a nice plushie, and one of the best Pop! figures we've ever seen. Before diving in, let's review the details: The cost for a Month to Month is $25 (plus S/H), or $150 (plus S/H) for a one-year subscription. You get one box every other month, with SB promising $50 in value and no fluff. If you choose the Smuggler membership (yearly), you are promised an additional gift on your anniversary.

#StarWarsSmugglersBounty Review: November 2016

November's Star Wars/Funko Smuggler's Bounty sub box is ready for a ROGUE ONE rebellion! Review by Matt Cummings The first year of the Star Wars/Funko alliance (no pun intended) is about to be completed, but not without its many exciting reveals mixed with some heavy disappointments. Overall, this sub box has fared very well against others like Marvel Collector Corps and DC's Legion of Collectors. September's DEATH STAR gave us one of the best boxes of the year, which was a welcomed 180-degree from July's hugely disappointing JABBA'S PALACE. And with the imminent arrival of ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY , it was time for some more cross-promotion. Luckily, I can report another success for Funko, sporting a fantastic shirt, two Pops, and a visit from a familiar (and formidable) enemy. Before diving in, let's review the details: The cost for a Month to Month is $25 (plus S/H), or $150 (plus S/H) for a one-year subscription. You get one box
