BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Underworld TV Series In The Works

After 14 years of either directing or producing the Underworld movies, you might think Len Wiseman would be ready to move on from the universe where vampires battle werewolves and their own internal struggles. Wrongo! He's planning to bring the idea to the small screen. The movies, of course, saw Kate Beckinsale squeeze into a variety of seemingly uncomfortable rubber suits and run around shooting/fighting like a badass as Selene, a vampire who works as a Death Dealer. She started off by killing the lycans who allegedly slaughtered her family, but things got more complicated when she fell for a man who showed lycan traits. According to Wiseman, the show's tone will be very different – and he's hoping to place it with a premium cable channel stateside or one of the streaming services to allow for the changes. "The series will be a pretty big departure from the films," Wiseman tells Deadline. "I don’t want to say it’s more adult, but it’s definitely less

Sony Dates Bad Boys 3 & 4, Dark Tower, More

Will both sequels star the original Willennial? By Brandon Wolfe Sony has offered us a glimpse into its crystal ball, revealing its slate of upcoming films for the next few years. This report shows a slight release date shift for Paul Feig's Ghostbusters to July 15, 2016; the Magnificent Seven remake dropping on September 23, 2016; Underworld 5 on October 21, 2016; the Chris Pratt/Jennifer Lawrence sci-fi team-up Passengers on December 21, 2016; a revival of Jumanji on Christmas Day, 2016; Resident Evil 6 on January 27, 2017; and the screen debut of Barbie on June 2, 2017. However, the bigger surprises to be found in this crop are the revelations that the first installment of the eternally delayed adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower has been given a concrete release date of January 13, 2017, and that not one, but TWO sequels to Bad Boys have been dated, for February 17, 2017 and July 3, 2019. Last we heard about a third Bad Boys was that Joe Carnahan wa

#TheoJames Is Returning To The Underworld Franchise

Theo James will be going back to Underworld . The Divergent actor is attached as the lead in the fifth film in the vampire action franchise, which Lakeshore Entertainment is currently developing. James , who played a vampire named David in 2013's Underworld: Awakening , will be the central character in the new film, which is not a reboot but rather an expansion of the existing universe. Sources say there was an option on James because of his work on the previous film, and he'll star opposite two new female characters. Casting is underway for those roles, with plans to start shooting in the spring. Cory Goodman has been hired to write the script, as The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported. James' star has risen significantly since he appeared in Underworld: Awakening because of his lead role in YA franchise Divergent. The film, starring James opposite Shailene Woodley, has earned $274.9 million worldwide. The sequel, Insurgent, recently wrapped shooting, and the

Underworld 4 Gets A Release Date And Will Be Shot In 3D

Underworld 4 Gets A Release Date And Will Be Shot In 3D. What A Surprise Sony's Screen Gems is moving ahead with a fourth film in the "Underworld" franchise and is targeting a January 2012 release. The movie will be shot in 3-D. We've received no word yet if Underworld: Rise of the Lycans stars Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy and Rhona Mitra , or former franchise stars Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman will return for the next film.  We are told Seline (Beckinsale) will "pass the torch" to one of her kindred (yes, she has not one, but two daughters at this point). Back in February, we reported that the studio was pleased with the performance of the prequel that opened on January 23. The film was made for just $35 million and earned $91.1 million worldwide, not counting DVD and Blu-ray sales. The film could star Either Kate Beckinsale or Rhona Mitra both are great eye candy to look at and the movies aren't half bad either. Please Lea

Kate Beckinsale Not Going To Be In Underworld 4?

Kate Beckinsale Not Going To Be In Underworld 4? Look at all these Rumors, Had to add this in. Song just popped in my head. Kate Beckinsdale on Friday denied widespread reports that she has signed on to a fourth Underworld film, which would begin a new trilogy in 3-D. Beckinsdale told a group of reporters that she had barely even considered reprising the role of vampire/death dealer Selene. "I haven't signed anything," Beckinsdale said in a press conference today in Beverly Hills, Calif., where she was promoting the thriller Whiteout . "It was always conceived as a trilogy, which I was never going to be in the third one. I think if they came up with an amazing script or whatever, then, sure, I wouldn't be averse to it, but it's not necessarily planned." The prospect of a new trilogy left her downright flummoxed. "God, three whole more?" she sighed. "I don't think my daughter needs to see my bottom in rubber for another 10 years."
