Winter weather ahead! Frozen 2 is officially in development at Walt Disney Animation Studios with directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho, the Oscar®-winning filmmaking team behind Frozen. The news was announced at Disney’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders this morning by Bob Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company; John Lasseter, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios; and actor Josh Gad, who provides the voice of Olaf from Frozen. “We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters,” said John Lasseter. “Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. It’s the sort of news that might make you bellow “well, of course it is!”, but given that Disney has yet to make any sort of official announcement about a sequel to Frozen, we suppose the word of the woman who voiced Elsa is something. According to Idina Menzel , the Mouse House really does have a sequel to the mammoth hit in development. So far, the company has largely used the property to spin off lines of merchandise, is bringing out a short film based on the characters, has a musical stage version in the works and loaned Elsa, Anna and some of the others to US TV drama Once Upon A Time, which uses Disney fairy-tale characters for modern-day drama. Frozen Review By: April Faith Spice I have to admit that when I first heard sometime last year that Disney's next "Big" movie was called " Frozen " and was about the " Snow Queen " I was a little disappointed and even though I tend to be somewhat of a "Disney Nerd" didn't check into it too terribly much before I was able to see a screening of it this week. I saw the generic teaser that played before Monster's University in May but it also didn't tell me much ABOUT the film, so I wasn't sure where Disney was going with this one. I am glad to report that I was very very surprised with how much I like, no loved Frozen .
