BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

First Images From Wonder Woman 1984 Chris Pine Returns

Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah. Principal photography is underway on Warner Bros. Pictures’ follow up to the Super Hero’s first outing, last summer’s record-breaking “ Wonder Woman ,” which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office. “ Wonder Woman 1984 ” will also be helmed by acclaimed director Patty Jenkins, and star Gal Gadot in the title role. As previously announced, the film also stars Kristen Wiig in the role of the Super-Villain The Cheetah, as well as Pedro Pascal . And Chris Pine returns as Steve Trevor. Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Patty Jenkins, Stephen Jones and Gal Gadot are producing the film. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Walter Hamada are the executive producers. Joining her behind the scenes are several members of Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman” team, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, Oscar-nominated

Justice League Under Performs At The Box Office

The reviews have not been exactly positive and speculation has been rife as to how Justice League would perform at the American box office. As it turns out, the movie arrived a little beneath its original stellar expectations, yet still managed to top the charts with a solid $96 million opening in the States, according to studio estimates. Movie Review: Justice League- Factoring in overseas business, the DCEU's latest entry is now on $281.5 million worldwide, which is healthy if not stellar. The domestic opening has been seen as a stumble after the success of Wonder Woman, but the big test will be repeat business. This new superhero arrival knocked Thor: Ragnarok from the top spot, but you have to head down to third to find it, as family drama Wonder , smartly counter-programmed against the League, saw big success. Writer/director Stephen Chbosky's latest opened to $27 million. And, as previously mentioned, Thor and co. were nudged down to third place with $21.7 milli

Gal Gadot In Talks To Star In 'Ruin'

Thanks in part to her performance as Wonder Woman , Gal Gadot is in demand, and looking to fit other movies around her duties as Diana Prince. She's aiming to star for director Justin Kurzel in a new revenge drama called Ruin . Ryan and Matt Firpo wrote the script, and Kurzel jumped aboard to direct in April. The story follows a former Nazi captain who anonymously travels the ruins of post-World War II Germany and seeks to atone for his crimes by hunting down the members of the SS Death Squad that once worked under him. No further details have been released, so we don't know what role Gadot would play in the film. MadRiver Pictures is backing the movie, and aiming to kick off shooting early next year, before Gadot's schedule fills back up with the Wonder Woman sequel. Gadot will next be seen as the Amazonian warrior in Justice League, which arrives on 17 November. She's also recently signed on to star alongside Bradley Cooper in underwater thriller Deeper. Dis

Patty Jenkins Will Direct Wonder Woman Sequel

It's hardly a surprise, since there had already been talk of her involvement in the movie's early development, but now, according to Deadline, Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins is signing her deal to make the sequel. Given the success of the film, it was only a matter of time before Warner Bros. secured her services, and the studio has reportedly offered her a handsome raise to come back and call the shots again, putting her on a much-deserved par with her male colleagues in terms of earnings. Warners made word of the sequel official at the San Diego Comic-Con this year, announcing a December 2019 release date. Other than that, and the fact that it'll star Gal Gadot as the Amazonian warrior, no details have been released in terms of setting or other casting. Now, at least, the project has a definite leader. Wonder Woman Still On Top

Such was the power of Diana, Princess of Themyscira that she was able to defeat the combined powers of The Mummy and its star Tom Cruise, as Wonder Woman saw off the monster and earned $57.1 million in the process, according to studio estimates. That's no mean feat for a superhero film, particularly given the patchy box office past of the DCEU though seemingly an easy one for Wonder Woman, which dropped just 44% on its second weekend. The movie's US total has quickly flown past $200 million and internationally it has already made more than $435 million in 10 days. As for The Mummy , Universal's attempt to launch its Dark Universe of connected monster movies isn't quite off to the flying start the studio might have hoped for, as the film opened to $32.2 million in the States. Opening the same day in many global territories gave a small boost, as its foreign take was a more impressive $141.8 million for a worldwide take to date of $174 million. With the expansive

Movie Review: #WonderWoman

Wonder Woman surprises in both its heady action and anti-war humanity. Review by Matt Cummings If the current state of the DC Cinematic Universe could be translated into an actual form, it might resemble a dumpster fire. Fueled by the disappointment of Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice and lit afire by the should-have-been-better Suicide Squad , Warner Bros has endured a wave of Internet rage that it fully deserves. Luckily, the fourth entry - Wonder Woman - arrives to put out that fire, resetting this franchise with terrific acting, superb action sequences, and several appealing and frankly surprising storylines. Diana of Themyscira (Gal Gadot) grows up young and defiant, loves her mother Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), but desires to be trained as an Amazonian warrior. Sneaking out at night, she learns from her aunt General Antiope (Robin Wright), who sees great things in Diana but must hide the girl's real destiny from her. Years later when World War I arr

Justice League's “Tactical Batsuit” Revealed

Director Zack Snyder has revealed a new look at Batman's tactical Batsuit, the first time we've seen it on Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne. See more images after the Jump... Alfred and Bruce develop an advanced suit in the “final chapter” of this story to fit the needs of the mission. This suit isn’t going to be used in filming for another two months so we only got to see a very early prototype of it alongside concept art. Described as “the tactical Batsuit,” it looks very much like the classic Batsuit augmented with straps and layers of leather and protective plates. A new cowl allows for flight goggles which he’ll wear when piloting a new vehicle. The straps look more military grade. I don’t love it. The cowl offers more protection in this story. It’s been implied inside the cowl there is a whole sub-membrane that is now expressed outside the cowl. Also, Snyder has embraced non-symmetry, giving Batman extra protection on one arm over another, making the uniform lo

@FunkoDCLegion Review: September 2016

Legion's WOMEN OF DC box packs a Wonder Woman punch of bad ass! Review by Matt Cummings DC's Legion of Collectors box has already proven its worth with a well-appointed SUICIDE SQUAD box in July and a solid series of offerings that are also strangely familiar to Marvel Collector Corps. But the question always remained how the every-other-month sub box would handle periods where no new DC film or TV show was available. I am happy to report that this month's WOMEN OF DC reveals an impressive set of goodies that establishes itself as one of the best superhero boxes of 2016. The Promise Before we begin, let's look at the deal again: promising a value of $50, the sub continues the tradition of Funko partnering each time to deliver an exclusive figure and t-shirt without the fluff or filter (their words). Joining at the VIGILANTE MEMBERSHIP, members receive 6 boxes every year, with the promise of an exclusive themed collectible gift on the one-year anniver
