Fathers and Daughters is an upcoming drama film directed by Gabriele Muccino and starring Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Diane Kruger, Jane Fonda, Octavia Spencer, and Aaron Paul.

A Pulitzer-winning writer (Crowe) grapples with being a widower and father after a mental breakdown, while, 27 years later, his grown daughter (Seyfried) struggles to forge connections of her own.

Fathers and Daughters is directed by Italian filmmaker Gabriele Muccino, of the films Playing for Keeps, Kiss Me Again, Seven Pounds, The Pursuit of Happyness, Remember Me My Love and The Last Kiss previously. The screenplay was written by Brad Desch. The film will be opening in Japan this October (where the trailer is from), but the US release has yet to be figured out.
