Win Tickets To An Advance For The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on 4/30/2014 at 7:00PM in Sacramento at Esquire IMAX Theatre. We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man ( Andrew Garfield ). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen ( Emma Stone ). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro ( Jamie Foxx ), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn ( Dane DeHaan ), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

Advance Preview: Dark Horse's Star Wars Rebel Heist

The newest Star Wars release arrives looking great. Read on to learn more.  Story By: Dave Beusing Matt Kindt has taken on an obscene number of comic book assignments over the past year. Ever since he became the author de jour following the critical success of Mind MGMT (one of the best comics on the stands for 2+ years now), his name has been all over the comic book market. From DC’s Villains Month (he wrote Solomon Grundy , Deadshot , & Harley Quinn ) to Marvel Knights: Spider-Man (really great Spidey mini-series; like Arkham Asylum meets the Webhead) to Valiant Comics Unity (think: their Avengers), Kindt has been working his ass off. All of this is to say, there’s a moment of hesitation, a tentative fear that his new 4 issue miniseries, Star Wars: Rebel Heist from Dark Horse, will sag under the weight of his impressive workload. Fortunately, it’s only a moment of hesitation. And then you take a look at that Kindt-painted cover of Han Solo and a blue alien

TV Recap: Vikings "The Choice" By: Sue

TV Recap: Vikings "The Choice" By: Sue Athelstan reads over the scrolls of Caesar’s battle as King Ecbert listens. Caesar was always thinking, always using the terrain. At the critical moment, Caesar strode to the front of the line, and addressed each of the men by name. King Ecbert sees that he has no choice but to kill Ragnar and all his men. Athelstan cannot believe that Ragnar did not want to speak peacefully, knowing that Ragnar is looking for fertile lands for his people to farm. He asks that King Ecbert send him to negotiate, but King Ecbert feels he is far too valuable, and would be slaughtered. Instead, he will wait for his allies to arrive, and then kill the Vikings. Ragnar points out that King Horik’s actions make it very difficult to negotiate with King Ecbert. King Horik never intended to negotiate. Lagertha hopes that if they were to win against King Ecbert they would prosper with not only more gold and silver, but also more land. Ragnar points o

TV Review: Hannibal “Shiizakana” By: Brandon Wolfe

TV Review: Hannibal “Shiizakana” By: Brandon Wolfe The battle of wills between Will and Hannibal is creating one of the more unique character dynamics presently on television. Here are two adversaries constantly circling each other, yet with each too fascinated by the other to strike. Hannibal’s preoccupation with Will has been a linchpin of the series from the start, and it’s not surprising that he continues to view his patient as a chemistry set in human form, a test subject to study the volatility of in reaction to whichever elements he chooses to introduce. But Will’s reaction to Hannibal is truly intriguing. He loathes the man, wants him dead, yet can’t stop himself from showing up at the doctor’s office for regular appointments where he can prod the man for any insight he can glean about his actions. The need each man possesses to understand what drives the other is not like any other TV relationship I can think of. It’s like if Batman took to hanging out with the Joker all the
