BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Safe Haven Review. It's Good Date Night Material

Safe Haven Review By: MattInRC The decent Safe Haven proves that men can watch chick films without needing to hurl. In a desperate effort to demonstrate that I can recognize my human side, I present to you the following: I like romantic thrillers and well-made love stories. Who doesn't find Casablanca, Pretty Woman , or any well-made love story, a memorizing experience equal to an action film like Star Wars or the well-made drama Elizabeth ? But there is a fine line, and the temptation to cross into Schmaltzville has been well-documented, resulting in thoroughly unwatchable, emasculating fare. Like so many failed submissions, the films based on Nicholas Sparks books come dripping with estrogen and a box of Kleenex with every ticket. Some like The Notebook have even entered the weird Breakup Movie list for those who maintain such things. Another of Sparks' melodrams - Safe Haven - enters the realm, determined it can be more. And while it wins on many levels

A Good Day To Die Hard Review. Has The Franchise Run Out Of Fuel?

A Good Day to Die Hard Review By: MattInRC Bruce Willis' return in A Good Day to Die Hard answers another important Movie Question of 2013. And that's not a good thing. Oh, Die Hard franchise where have you gone? To be honest, I stopped following you after the less-than-exciting 1995's Die Hard With a Vengeance . To me, you had run out of fuel, and other action films - other movies that year like Goldeneye and Crimson Tide offered more depth to the action than I had expected. Even your fourth film - 2007's Live Free or Die Hard - got beaten out that year by National Treasure II and Transformers , all signaling that perhaps your best days were over. Thus the Valentines Day release of A Good Day to Die Hard comes as quite a shock to us. Does your once great franchise rediscover its footing and usher Willis back into his old form? Not so much. Police detective John McClane ( Bruce Willis , Looper) learns that his son Jack ( Jai Cortney , Jack

Chris Hemsworth To Star In Michael Mann Thriller

It's been nearly four years since Michael Mann last directed a feature film, but the wait for his next project may be over: The " Public Enemies " director has attached himself to helm an untitled thriller for Legendary Pictures with Chris Hemsworth attached to star. Mann had been developing the project for over a year, co-writing the script with Morgan Davis Foehl, who is also penning "Mass Effect" for Legendary. Plot details are unknown, other than that the film takes place in a world of cyber threats and attacks. Thomas Tull, Mann and Jon Jashni will produce with Alex Garcia exec producing. Mann had most recently produced "Witness" and directed the pilot of HBO's "Luck," which he also exec produced but has not helmed a film since Universal's "Public Enemies" in 2009. Mann has since been linked to a handful of films, including "Big Tuna, "Agincourt" and the racing pic "Go Like Hell" fo

The Internship Trailer Is Here. Starring Vince Vaughn And Owen Wilson

After a detour into sci-fi drama with Real Steel , Shawn Levy has returned to full-on comedy with The Internship , featuring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson as two salesmen competing for possible jobs at Google. The Wedding Crashers duo reunites for the tale of two old school salesmen whose company, led by disreputable boss John Goodman , collapses. Desperate to find new work, they hatch a plan to apply to Google’s intern programme, hoping it’ll lead to jobs. But they soon find themselves out of their depth in a crowd of young, geeky geniuses who know far more about the modern work environment and are just waiting to run rings around our heroes. But could the experienced guys have a thing or two to teach them? Our guess, based on this, is probably. But while it has a few generic moments (groin hits? Again? Really?), we’re hoping a talented, funny cast (which also includes Dylan O’Brien, Aasif Mandvi, Rose Byrne, Josh Gad and Max Minghella ) can make the script – by Vaughn and

Why Die Hard Is Perfect Valentine's Day Movie

From the " Twilight " trilogy to the tearjerkers adapted from Nicholas Sparks novels to nearly every film where Matthew McConaughey takes off his shirt, let's face it: Most cinematic love stories are made for women. Sound crazy? Stick with me. The 1988 original stars Bruce Willis as John McClane, a sarcastic New York cop visiting his estranged wife Holly ( Bonnie Bedelia ) and his two children in California. When he arrives at Holly's office Christmas party, the tension in their relationship is immediately evident. Holly is using her maiden name again and John doesn't even plan to stay with his family while he's in town. There's no doubt that John loves his wife and wants to rekindle the romance, but he can't seem to admit it. But while John proves incapable of communicating his feelings to his wife verbally, an opportunity arises allowing him to prove his devotion to her. Midway through the party, a team of terrorists led by the stylish H

Safe Haven Review. Bring A Kleenex Box With You

Safe Haven Review By:Ursula  I want to thank our guest reviewer Ursula for her review for Safe Haven. Be sure to check back to see what MattInRC thought of the film. Safe Haven is a suspenseful story about Katie, ( Julianne Hough ) running from the law to find peace, quiet and safety. She comes upon the beautiful seaside port in Southport, North Carolina. On a whim, she steps off the bus, breathes in the sea air, and decides to stay. She is jumpy, keeps to herself and is looking to settle in quietly without any commotion. While constantly on the defense, she manages to get a job at the local Crab Shack and rent a cozy little shabby chic (more shabby than chic) house off the grid and deep into the woods of the little town. The local shop owner Alex, ( Josh Duhamel ) is a widower with two adorable children. He helps his uncle run the town grocery. Alex notices Katie immediately and forgets his mourning. Fortunately for him his daughter has his interests in mind and lures Katie
