BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Chris Hemsworth To Star In Michael Mann Thriller

It's been nearly four years since Michael Mann last directed a feature film, but the wait for his next project may be over: The "Public Enemies" director has attached himself to helm an untitled thriller for Legendary Pictures with Chris Hemsworth attached to star.

Mann had been developing the project for over a year, co-writing the script with Morgan Davis Foehl, who is also penning "Mass Effect" for Legendary. Plot details are unknown, other than that the film takes place in a world of cyber threats and attacks.

Thomas Tull, Mann and Jon Jashni will produce with Alex Garcia exec producing.

Mann had most recently produced "Witness" and directed the pilot of HBO's "Luck," which he also exec produced but has not helmed a film since Universal's "Public Enemies" in 2009.

Mann has since been linked to a handful of films, including "Big Tuna, "Agincourt" and the racing pic "Go Like Hell" for Fox. Mann continues to develop each of those films.

Though Mann has shown range in other genres like "The Insider" and "Ali," he has made a name for himself tackling films set in a world of cops and criminals like "Heat" and "Collateral." New project would seem to fit that mold.

With "Robopocalypse" being delayed and things moving slowly on the sequel to "Snow White and the Huntsman," Hemsworth had been figuring out what to do next. He's attached to the Warner Bros. adventure "In the Heart of the Sea," which Ron Howard is circling.

WB very much wants to make "In the Heart of the Sea" but doesn't think it would be able to get production started until fall. Plan is to shoot the Mann pic in June before that and then jump into "In the Heart of the Sea" after.

Sex Tape Review: Overly Sexual, Rude, Vulgar, and Absolutely Hilarious

The raunchy Sex Tape will divide audiences and critics, but who cares? Sex Tape suggests a growing practice among loving partners: that of making a raunchy testament of their escapades for posterity. But what happens when that evidence gets seen by friends, neighbors, and even the mailman? This is the plot that pits Jay (Jason Segel) and Annie (Cameron Diaz) in an effort to secure every iPad gift Jay has given, his record company playlists being the envy of the recipients, but which has also inadvertently spread the video to every device. The reason for the act - termed in the movie as pulling "the full Lincoln " for its three-hour length - stems from the couple's non-existent social life, brought on by the constant demands of their children. The couple has a lot to lose: a burgeoning business relationship between Annie and Hank (Rob Lowe) could end if the iPad she's given to Hank exposes the video, and so the couple sets out to reclaim and wipe the incrim...

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert?

Winona Ryder- An "Alienation" Expert? We're halfway checked out for the holiday weekend, so let's end with bit of comedy. A litigious videogame player is calling Winona Ryder to testify as an expert in "alienation." Erik Estavillo has filed a $1 million lawsuit in California Superior Court against Activision Blizzard, publisher of "World of Warcraft," saying it "maintain(s) a harmful virtual environment to many of its customers by forcing them to follow the game's sneaky and deceitful practices." The plaintiff says he suffers from several mental health problems brought on by WoW's "alienating" features, such as forcing beginners to walk or run to get from one point to another instead of speedier options available to those who master the game or buy an expansion pack. Estavillo says that the slow pace is "deceitful" because more time = more subscription revenue for Activision. Here's where Winona Ryder comes...
