SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN Review By: Matt C Snow White and The Huntsman is the second film in 2012 about a rebellious princess and her monstrous stepmother. While Mirror Mirror set a more fanciful tone, Snow White is very much a Grimm fairy tale. It's dark, brooding, violent, and makes the best use of each character's faults and dark corners. MTV got a chance to talk to Channing Tatum at the MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet. The whole delay and reshoot ordeal surrounding G.I. Joe: Retaliation just keeps getting weirder and weirder. Now co-star Channing Tatum has chimed in on the mess, and he seems just as confused as the rest of the world. The film was coming out June 29, but it's now been bumped all the way to March 29, 2013. Warner Bros has attached Guy Ritchie to direct a new version of Robert Louis Stevenson’s pirate tale Treasure Island , and has set Alex Harakis to write the script. Ritchie will produce the film with his partner Lionel Wigram and Langley Park’s Kevin McCormick. It was Wigram who originally set up a stylized version of the classic novel, much the way he did Sherlock Holmes, which Ritchie directed. He set it up before he and Ritchie became partners. Ghostface is taking his reign of terror to the small screen. MTV is developing a weekly series based on the Scream film franchise , sources confirm to TVLine exclusively. Former MTV execs Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley, who are shepherding the project under their DiGa production shingle, are on the hunt for a writer to pen the pilot. It’s unclear what role, if any, Scream auteurs Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven will have in the potential series. The four Scream flicks have brought in $500 million globally, although the most recent pic — last year’s Scream 4 — grossed a paltry $40 million domestically. PIRANHA 3DD Review By: RAMA Would RAMA go back into the water after watching this movie? I give this movie a relatively high rating ONLY because it does what it’s supposed to do. We expect it to be bad and it’s pretty bad, we expect it to be funny and it’s outrageously funny, we expect it to be a dumb guilty pleasure flick filled with blood, breasts, and Ving Rhames’s shotgun leg, and it’s got all those and so much more, it doesn’t deviate from what it promises itself to be and that makes PIRANHA 3DD ridiculously, infectiously, undeniably fun.
